Thanks for checking out our 12th annual guide for Fett fans to SDCC! We’ll be attending San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) again as press!

Here’s our checklist to all the Boba Fett stuff we know about in advance and/or as we see it, plus related findings like general Star Wars exclusives. Updated often, especially during the convention itself.

    “A galaxy far, far away has a new wave of high-end collectibles. Lucasfilm’s Brian Merten shares a look at new items and the craft behind creating pieces that provide an authentic connection to the stories fans love. Who knows—there may be a surprise or two along the way.” More info.
  • 12:00pm – 1:00pm: A Galaxy of Star Wars Comics from Mad Cave Studios and Lucasfilm Publishing @ Room 7AB
    “Mad Cave Studios and Lucasfilm Publishing make the jump to hyperspace and showcase their Star Wars publishing partnership. Charles Beacham (editor, Mad Cave Studios), Josh Pruett and Scott Peterson (Phineas & Ferb), Delilah S. Dawson (Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu: Danger in the Dark), Soo Lee (Star Wars: Tales from the Nightlands), and more guests present news and reveals of new tales coming soon.     “Members of the Hasbro marketing and design teams discuss Star Wars product lines, including The Black Series, The Vintage Collection, and Retro, with an in-depth look at the latest action figure offerings from across the saga. Word on the Holonet is there may also be a few surprises. May the Force be with you.” More info.

    “Craig Miller (Lucasfilm’s original director of fan relations) presents a slideshow on the early association between Star Wars, San Diego Comic-Con, and fandom, including how the film was first publicized and promoted at SDCC in 1976 and how fans got involved even before the film came out.” More info.
  • 4:00pm – 5:00pm: Making of Star Wars: The Experience @ Room 7AB
    “Ashley Eckstein (actor; voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars animation) moderates a panel with the creative team behind the official immersive experience celebrating 50 years of Star Wars, opening in 2027 at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia in collaboration with Lucasfilm and Disney Consumer Products. Panelists Matt Martin (senior creative executive, franchise content and strategy, Lucasfilm), Portia Fontes (manager of physical assets, Lucasfilm), Abby Bysshe (chief experience and strategy officer, The Franklin Institute), Dan Picard (owner and chief creative officer, MDSX Creative), and David Edmonds (art director, MDSX Creative) discuss balancing cinematic authenticity with exhibition design, the visual identity of the experience, screen-used archival pieces, and what it means to celebrate 50 years of Star Wars in a way that feels as epic, emotional, and immersive as the saga itself. Attendees receive a first reveal of renderings, key art, and more, with giveaways available only at Comic-Con.” More info.
  • 5:00pm – 6:00pm: Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge: What’s New on Batuu? @ Room 7AB
    “Like the ever-expanding lore of its movies and TV shows, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Walt Disney World has received updates over the past year. From new characters and experiences to fan events, merchandise, food, and more, no two visits to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu are ever the same. Kristine Smith and Martin Smith (Heroes of the Halcyon podcast, Halcy-Con) and Peter Sciretta (Ordinary Adventures on YouTube) discuss 2026’s major changes to Galaxy’s Edge.” More info.
  • 7:00pm – 8:00pm: The 501st Legion: Star Wars Villainous Costuming @ Room 7AB
    “An introduction to the creation of fan-made villain costumes from Star Wars films and beyond. Legion members Jamie Tobitt, Linds Cepak, Dean Amstutz, Kevin Weir, Sarah Wetmore, Milan Nguyen, David Neth, and Todd Mullin from the Imperial Sands and Southern California Garrisons provide an overview of the creative process that brings Stormtroopers, Tusken Raiders, Din Djarin, and Kylo Ren from the screen into reality. The panel covers membership, from initial interest through final approval, as well as working with armor parts, small props, soft-costume construction, and 3D modeling and printing.   • Benjamin Percy (author of Star Wars: Boba Fett – Black, White & Red #1) will “be there, mostly making some noise on some Marvel panels, but I’ll also be dropping in to @joshuacassara’s booth for a few signings. I’ll share times when I’ve got them,” notes the author via Twitter

Cosplayers

  • The 501st Legion will have their annual group photo outside the convention center (which often has 5-10 Fetts) on Saturday at 11am at the Amphitheater on the Mezzanine level, organized by @chiefgeekphotography (IG)
