Previously, in print, we had survival stories in Marvel's Star Wars #81 ("Jawas of Doom") in 1983, Dark Empire #4 in 1992, Dark Empire Sourcebook in 1993, Twin Engines of Destruction in 1995/96, Tales from Jabba's Palace in 1995, Tales of the Bounty Hunters in 1996, and the Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy in 1998/9 – each of which told a different legend

Han Solo"Return of the Jedi" Weekly #83 was released in the U.K. on this day in 1985, featuring the "Jawas of Doom" cover art by Tom Palmer.
The issue itself doesn't include any Fett fiction: it has parts of Star Wars #91, Star Wars #51, and a few other stories.
"Jawas of Doom" is truly contained in Star Wars #81 and has one of the "legendary" tales of Fett escaping (and falling back into) the Sarlacc.

Star Wars: Special Edition#ThisDayInHistory: #BobaFett had a cameo in the #StarWars Special Edition, which premiered on January 31, 1997!
Mark Austin portrayed Fett. Steve "Spaz" Williams directed the second unit shot. Fett's recognizable left shoulder armor was accidentally on the wrong shoulder. You can hear Mark talk about it here: https://youtu.be/CGvJSiaIHBs

View on InstagramThe "The Empire Strikes Back" and "#StarWars Saga - I.Q. Test" paper cups by Dixie featured #BobaFett and his ship, Slave I, back in 1981 and 1982 respectively. Boba Fett also appeared on some of the packaging, as well as on the "Bounty Hunters" cup in the "Return of the Jedi" set.

Jeremy BullochIn case you missed it, the actor who was inside the #R2D2 costume, Kenny Baker, passed away yesterday.
Here he is shown here with Jeremy Bulloch, the original actor behind #BobaFett, in a shot captured by Gugge Zelander.
On Facebook, Jeremy shared the following: "He was an amazing person who only two weeks ago was greeting fans and signing autographs at LFCC - we will all miss him greatly - what a superstar he was."
Kenny was born August 24, 1934. He was 81 years old.

First, Jawas discover Fett survived the Sarlacc but has amnesia! Then they happen to run into #HanSolo and #PrincessLeia who are looking for R2! As if that wasn't enough, he barely recognized Solo just as he falls back into the pit in an out-of-control Sandcrawler! Now that's entertainment.
This re-touched panel comes from #StarWars Omnibus "A Long Time Ago..." Volume 4, which was published in 2011 by Dark Horse Comics.

View on Instagram | TwitterThere were only a few artists online dabbling with #BobaFett art back in 1996, the same year when our #BobaFettFanClub first began. This #StarWars artwork from Australian illustrator Tony Bela was a big deal, appearing as a very accurate 3D model with a pro Photoshop finish. Bela shared one version with a clean blue background, and then soon thereafter came out with this version featuring Jabba's Palace.
