Han Solo

"Return of the Jedi" Weekly #83 was released in the U.K. on this day in 1985, featuring the "Jawas of Doom" cover art by Tom Palmer.

The issue itself doesn't include any Fett fiction: it has parts of Star Wars #91, Star Wars #51, and a few other stories.

"Jawas of Doom" is truly contained in Star Wars #81 and has one of the "legendary" tales of Fett escaping (and falling back into) the Sarlacc.

The 2017 LEGO Desert Skiff Escape (right) set was looking mostly like a do-over of the 2012 Desert Skiff set, but the #BobaFett minifigure appears to have a bunch of "Return of the Jedi" updates: increased armor damage, grey flight suit, yellow gloves/hands, and re-designed ammo belt.

Other observations: it's got the same generation of printing as the 2015 UCS Fett, and we'll have to keep on dreaming for that "Jedi" jetpack to have the proper colors.

LEGO's Carbon-Freezing Chamber (75137), which includes #BobaFett, is due in 2016, but one fan already found it for sale in Germany at Vedes.

According to Brickimedia (plus converting their currency estimate to U.S. dollars), the set may retail for around $30. That would put it around 250 pieces or less. It's not available online yet. (Helmet nod to Thorsten Heiss for the store report, and Matt B. of Jedi News for the official catalog.)

"Here's Boba Fett jamming out on his guitar plugged into a newly-repurposed Han in carbonite," notes the artist. This photo by DavidPickering (Flickr) features the 2010 LEGO #BobaFett figure. But of the many #StarWars LEGO editions, not all had a face like this. Back in 1999 when they first released a LEGO Fett, he had a removable helmet, but it unveiled just a black head piece -- without a face -- truly suggesting he was (still) a mysterious guy.
