#BobaFett appeared prominently for 42 days of "The Frozen World of Ota," the official Star Wars newspaper strip, including this panel that was originally B&W on June 27, 1980.

On the left is the 1995 version done by Dark Horse Comics for "Classic #StarWars: The Early Adventures #9" (1995), which was the basis for the re-prints in "Classic Star Wars: The Early Adventures Volume 4" (2012) and "Star Wars: The Classic Newspaper Comics Volume 1" (2017).

Back in 2008, we would be talking about last night's episode of #TheSimpsons, where #BobaFett freezes 'em in carbonite.

This opening sequence aired September 28, 2008. We've looped it a few times so you can really enjoy it.

Season 20 Episode 1 (#421) was directed by Lance Kramer and written by Kevin Curran.

Did anyone else spot the #BobaFett cameo in ILM's "#RogueOne Reaction" video? Check out their video to see it yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeEU61EIgzk

We figured out that the art is from 2013 and was done by Albert Nguyen: http://nguy0699.deviantart.com/art/The-Good-The-Bad-and-the-Fett-360589429

Prints are available from the artist: https://squareup.com/store/albert-nguyen-illustration/item/the-good-the-bad-and-the-fett

The artist's other piece, "Luke Crossing Hoth," is right above this one. Interesting that they're there...

#ThisMonthInHistory: Marvel Star Wars #42 was published September 23 yet had a December 1980 date on the top left.

But this first comic book appearance of #BobaFett mirrored the same content in Marvel Comics Super Special #16 (bottom left; dated May 1, 1980), Marvel Illustrated Books: The Empire Strikes Back (top right; dated May 1, 1980), and Marvel Special Edition 2: The Empire Strikes Back (bottom right; dated Spring 1980). To add to the mix, you could include the U.K.'s The Empire Strikes Back Weekly #129 released August 14, 1980.

Oddly enough, despite those copyright dates, those variants contained issues #39-44, which makes us wonder which one really came first after all.

For all Boba Fett comics, see http://bobafett.com/bounty/books/comics/

(Caption updated for further clarity. Vintage comic dates on the top left were often considered back then months to pull the issue off newsstands.)

"Boba Guitar Hero" by Kevin Ryhal is a custom LEGO #BobaFett and #HanSolo in a "mini" Chibi style. "Here's Boba Fett jamming out on his guitar plugged into a newly-repurposed Han in carbonite," notes the artist. LEGO fan site Brothers Bricks imaginatively called this one "Boba Fret performing his guitar Solo." #FettFriday: The very first comic book appearance of #BobaFett is a bit of a mystery: the issue of Marvel #StarWars #42 hit newsstands in September 23, 1980 with a December 1980 date on the cover. But irregularly sized "Marvel Special Edition 2: The Empire Strikes Back" and "Marvel Comics Super Special Volume 1 #16" have the same comic within, each with Spring 1980 copyright dates. That's not all: "The Marvel Comics Illustrated Version of The Empire Strikes Back" had a release of May 1. Long story short, this cover from the comic book release is most impressive.

#FettFriday: "#BobaFett" by Michael Babinski is one of many illustrations done by this artist, who has also done several sketch cards for various Topps #StarWars trading cards. This Saturday, he'll be at Mighty Con in Wheaton just outside of Chicago, Illinois -- so if you're in the area, be sure to stop by and say hello to this artistic Fett fan.
