Friday, April 7
- 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Lucasfilm’s Studio Showcase @ Celebration Stage (and streamed to Twin Suns and Galaxy Stages)
“This panel is a pre-ticket event [and] there will be limited standby available. Star Wars Celebration returns, launching with a must-see showcase that will kick the weekend’s festivities into hyperdrive. Hosted by BudaFett, SparrowFett, Lunchboxwars, and RS Prop Masters - 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: The History of Kenner’s Rocket Firing Boba Fett (Collectors Stage) “An in-depth look at the creation of the character by Lucasfilm through the prototyping and development of the toy by Kenner. Learn how Kenner unveiled their mysterious new action figure with a spring-loaded rocket launcher and the subsequent events that eventually forced its removal. Now an iconic toy-that-never-was, this fascinating tale spans nearly five decades and is rife with falsehoods and hearsay. Come hear the real story.”

Artwork
- Alice X. Zhang (Booth S651) is the illustrator who did the official Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 badge art. She has a postcard set, which replaces the Celebration logo badge with Boba Fett. A similar set might also be in the Celebration shop at the convention.
