"I was probably making much more of a borderline rated R, single planet spaghetti Western [Boba Fett film]. … I'm not sure it ever would have happened," director James Mangold told podcaster Josh Horowitz in a new interview released yesterday
Back in 2018, The Hollywood Reporter had the scoop that the rumored "standalone" Boba Fett feature film was to be directed by Mangold, who had recently done the R-rated Wolverine film "Logan;" meanwhile, Mangold tweeted that same year that the news was "gossip," which at the time seemed to debunk the story and, in 2020, he tweeted again that the film was never announced and that he wished he made a Boba Fett film

Fett's more colorful jetpack would also have to be damaged, consistent with the events of "Return of the Jedi." In the current canon, Boba Fett only fell into the Sarlacc and is neither dead nor alive. He's rumored to return in Season 2, but at this point it's not officially confirmed.
As media, we have access to a 2.2gb ProRes master of the trailer, versus the 24mb YouTube file, allowing us less compressed frames to put this together. The still frames are also sharpened, to compete with all the motion blur in the actual shot.

Joe JohnstonDirector Joe Johnston, who originally designed #BobaFett in 1978, spoke with the media at Comic Con Paris and shared what he would do with that still-rumored, yet-to-be-officially-confirmed Fett film.

According to another interview, his last film as a director will be the fourth Chronicles of Narnia film, "The Silver Chair," shooting next winter. He's previously done Jumanji, The Rocketeer, and Captain America: The First Avenger, among many other films.

View on InstagramThis new #BobaFett MagicBand for 2016 gives a fresh look to last year's character illustration and adds our favorite Mandalorian symbol to the back. This is at least the fourth MagicBand to feature Fett.
Rumor has it this one showed up on shelves for sale earlier this month, but didn't work at Walt Disney World Resort. In addition to being a bracelet, it's a HF Radio Frequency device and transmitter. (MagicBands currently don't work at Disneyland Resort.)

The screenwriter attached is Gary Whitta ("The Book of Eli," "After Earth"). No word yet if this is the rumored #BobaFett spin-off.
