Record-setting public sale yesterday: this "J-slot" rocket-firing #BobaFett prototype sold for $204,435 via Hake's Auctions

The front looks like a normal vintage Boba but the back of authentic and often unpainted Kenner protos are what's unique – rare "J" and less rare "L" slots

This one even had an AFA 50 VG status due to the normally longer firing stem bring broken, presumably due to testing at Kenner... yet sold after 27 bids for $18,585 more than the last previously known "J-slot" auction back in 2019, which had a higher AFA grade

#ThrowbackThursday: #BobaFett in #StarWars Battlefront II (2005) and the new reboot Battlefront (2015)

Fun fact about the new game: Electronic Art's Digital Illusions CE (DICE) scanned an actual prop Boba Fett helmet available to them at Lucasfilm Archive, giving the game's promo photos and gameplay craftsmanship even more authenticity. Fett sports his "Jedi" Special Edition costume look for the game. (Helmet nod to Ponteworks for the fun fact, who's available for top-notch commissions via ponteworks@gmail.com.) #BobaFettFanClub #PhotoOfTheDay #PicOfTheDay

#TriviaTuesday: #BobaFett #1/2 ("Salvage") was originally, exclusively available from Wizard Magazine in 1997. One variant version had a gold cover, and both included a certificate of authenticity.

The comic was later included in the Enemy of the Empire trade paperback, published by Dark Horse Comics. Learn more in our Bounty database at http://bobafett.com/bounty/books/comics/bf_half/

Wizard Magazine, which also handled Toyfare Magazine, often includes Fett references but folded in 2011. #starwars #comic #wizardmagazine #darkhorsecomics

#TriviaTuesday: #BobaFett's pre-production costume gloves had circles. By the time of his theatrical debut in "Empire," those patches -- which derive from authentic U.S. Army -- were removed in favor of a simpler design.

#ThrowbackThursday: Here's an excerpt of an authentic, original script for the #StarWars Holiday Special. This page features #BobaFett's 17th of 20th line in the animation.

The entire script will be up for auction in early November via Joe Johnston (who originally designed Fett and who provided this picture). Here's hoping one of you Fett fans can pick it up!
