#ThisDayInHistory: #BobaFett had a cameo in the #StarWars Special Edition, which premiered on January 31, 1997!

Mark Austin portrayed Fett. Steve "Spaz" Williams directed the second unit shot. Fett's recognizable left shoulder armor was accidentally on the wrong shoulder. You can hear Mark talk about it here: https://youtu.be/CGvJSiaIHBs

Fett's shots were filmed on December 6, 1994. Watch part of the rare making-of here: https://www.facebook.com/bobafettfanclub/videos/10154810597837244/

Like other premium figures at this price point, this one has replaceable arms, hands, blasters, and flamethrower flame to mix and match.

This one will be hard to pick up due to international trade restrictions; they'll only ship to addresses in Southeast Asia. Pre-orders will open July 15 at xm-studios.com -- possibly at 6pm Hong Kong time on July 14, according to a footnote on Facebook. #MandalorianMonday: "The Bounty Hunter" by Renato Scicchitano

This was Renato's final project in a three week class at the Think Tank Training Centre in Canada, which involved modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering, and compositing #BobaFett. "The main idea behind this project was to tell a story, about the relationship between good and evil, the hero and the villain, between Boba Fett the bounty hunter and Han Solo," noted the artist on 3DTotal.

LEGO's Carbon-Freezing Chamber (75137), which includes #BobaFett, is due in 2016, but one fan already found it for sale in Germany at Vedes.

According to Brickimedia (plus converting their currency estimate to U.S. dollars), the set may retail for around $30. That would put it around 250 pieces or less. It's not available online yet. (Helmet nod to Thorsten Heiss for the store report, and Matt B. of Jedi News for the official catalog.)

This photo by DavidPickering (Flickr) features the 2010 LEGO #BobaFett figure. But of the many #StarWars LEGO editions, not all had a face like this. Back in 1999 when they first released a LEGO Fett, he had a removable helmet, but it unveiled just a black head piece -- without a face -- truly suggesting he was (still) a mysterious guy.
