On the left is the 1995 version done by Dark Horse Comics for "Classic #StarWars: The Early Adventures #9" (1995), which was the basis for the re-prints in "Classic Star Wars: The Early Adventures Volume 4" (2012) and "Star Wars: The Classic Newspaper Comics Volume 1" (2017).

Almost every day later, he appeared again until the end of the run on August 10, 1980. The #comic from writer Russ Manning and artist Al Williamson was mostly black-and-white with weekends printed in color within the newspaper.
