Re: RPG:Freedom Fighters

Ocelot was prepped and ready  to go, him and his unit were going to be using a cargo plan to land them right outside of New York . He was going to meet up with the rest of his unit there for briefing. There was something about his mission that he didn’t feel safe about. It could have been that Ocelot was used to being assigned to snatch and grabs, and assassinations, but he never been on a recon mission it just wasn’t his thing.
He was just sent there to find out any plans the Freedom fighters, that was available basically his group had to work in smaller groups then they usually did. Instead of  one team of forty he was going to switch his unit into two units of twenty, and instead of him being engaged in every fight he was only  going to be giving out commands on a team speak network. The only time ocelot was going to be fighting is when things got to tough for his team, so he was going to keep close by his team.
Ocelot’s plan had landed and his units after him, he had stationed his plane in a little town outside of New York, the Russian’s there had called it little Moscow. Ocelot was greeted by a familiar face it was Lieutenant General Bravich. Ocelot looked at him with great concern and said “ What is the situation,” Bravich looked at him with a wide smile.
“ The situation is not so good but it will get better.” he said as if nothing was wrong .
He lead Ocelot into a tent, in the middle of the tent was a man tied up to a chair. His face was battered and bruised, Ocelot looked at Bravich with a questioned look on his face, “ what is this about.”
Bravich looked at ocelot with a smile and said,” We picked him up a while back he had this.”
Bravich hand Ocelot a rolled up paper, Ocelot glanced at him the back to the paper he had just unfolded. It was a map that showed where Michael Kados was at, “Ocelot looked toward Bravich and smiled then said “ Interesting.”

Re: RPG:Freedom Fighters

ooc: I don't think they would know who the Freedom Fighters leader is, nor where we are. No one would carry a map with them either...they'd just know where the base is.

We can be attacked, but it'll complicate things. Especially since we're about to do an attack.

Re: RPG:Freedom Fighters

Viktor approached his commander and briefed him on the situation.  He told of how he shot one of them.  But it wasn't fatal.  The commander seemed to mull over this.  Without warning he turned around and back-handed Viktor sending Viktor spinning to the ground.

"HOW DARE YOU LET THEM GET AWAY!  They waltzed in here, escaped with some of our prisoners and didn't even lose a man!  Meanwhile we are still mopping up the mess."

"I am sorry Commander.  There was nothing I could do.  I tried."

He spat on the ground.  Try is a filthy word.  You either do or well...  We wouldn't want to see if you 'don't' do we now comrad?"

"No sir."

The commander smiled and spoke, "But no worries.  We shall have our revenge.  Intel has discovered one of their bases.  One in Central Park.  We have reasoned to believe it is one of their central armories.  We would like you and some others to act as covering fire.  Do well and a promotion maybe be in order."

"Yes commander."

"We will be leaving at 2200 hours.  That gives you 2 hours to prepare.  Dismissed."

Viktor set off at a light jog to his room.  This was do or die.

Personality:Loyal, good fighter

Re: RPG:Freedom Fighters

CHARACTER: This is VERY important—you must create a long character. At least 3 lines of personality, 5 of history, and another 2 for weapons and skills, each. One line for weakness or fears, each. We want to know what your character is good at—sabotage, demolitions, sniping, etc. THERE WILL BE NO 5 MINUTE CHARACTERS.

Fix it up, and lets get this back on track. Who's next?

Re: RPG:Freedom Fighters

Kados walked with Mitch through the winding corridors of the base. The narrow corridors and cutbacks would make it hard for any Reds who tried to attack here, and there were numerous spots for ambushes, as well. The Freedom Fighters could hold this base against a force four times their size. To reach Kados's quarters from the med-bay, on headed right past heavy weapons storage. As they walked by, a man called out to Kados. "Major, a moment please?"

Kados nodded to Mitch, "I'll catch up with you. This'll only take a moment." Mitch nodded and continued on.

Kados walked over to the other man. "What do you need?"

"I was told to load up on heavy weapons for tomorrow, but not given any further instructions, such as how much of what. I've got RPG's, Recoilless Rifles, Javelins---the whole lot."

Fifteen minutes later, Kados entered his quarters and sat down. "So what was it you wanted to tell me, Mitch?"

ooc: Ralin--just post whenever you get back. We won't start anything big without you.

Re: RPG:Freedom Fighters

ooc: yeah i'm around too... jsut let me know what you think richelle should be doing to prep for the raid or w/e you have planned. She the type to take the order and make sure it gets done at all costs, rather than come up with the plans herself. (Hee hee isn't that convient tongue)

Re: RPG:Freedom Fighters

Robert walked over to the bunk Alex had pointed to. He had seen the man called Mitch staring at him. Price wasn't sure if the man thought he was a traitor or if he just didn't think he looked like a soldier. Price set his gear down onto the bead and then sat down on a chair.

Five minutes later Robert began sharpening his survival knife. When he finished sharpening his returned his blade to its sheath.  He glanced down at his MP5 sub machine gun. He grabbed it and screwed its silencer on to the barrel. The small gun would go with him instead of his assault rifle. He then grabbed his sniper rifle and slung it around his shoulder.  His sgian dubh knife was strapped under his armpit and his survival knife was strapped to his chest. He was ready for the raid.

Robert then left the room and went to the main room where other soldiers waited.

ooc: I changed the mp7 to mp5 by the way. Also soon I'll probably change my clothing to something less military.

Are you serious!?!?!?! I even quoted the requirements for you! I won't accept you're character until you COMPLETELY fix that up. EVERYTHING. Seriously. I've reminded you three times now, and it's getting absurd. Look, I'm fine with you joining--just follow my character requirements. Its not that hard.

Re: RPG:Freedom Fighters

AA's right. But I said three lines of personality, and thats not five lines of history.

this is what it looks like, un-spaced

none. Nothing is know about Prime or where he came from. He talks about having a warehouse that is full of              weapons. He though often recalls that his father was a great man. scares on his face are evidance of his very agreesive explolts

scarcely three lines of history. PLEASE, just take some time, come up with a proper character with a proper history, personality, multiple, full, LINES of weapons, fears. weaknesses, skills, etc, not just a few words before you hit enter. I'm tired of you ignoring these. You're just being lazy and slacking off on the history, hoping a few lines of scrambled nonsense, spaced out, will cut it. Your history tells us nothing about your character. Maybe thats fine for other RPG's, but not Freedom Fighters. Look, like I said, all I want is a good character, and I'm fine with you joining. Its not too much to ask for a decent character, is it?

Re: RPG:Freedom Fighters

(Hey, does that Mauser look familiar to anyone? And I've gotten bored of doing RPGs, no offense I think this is cool and all but I'm just not that interested anymore. So, I will be killing off my characters old-fashioned vay.)

Tony woke up, and a light blared in his eyes. He didn't even remember getting captured by the Russians while looking for the Freedom Fighters, but he knew that this was his end. He had failed his father, and now it was his turn. The soldier turned to him, and slapped him as if to wake him up.

"You know anyting about these 'Freedum Fai-ters'?"

"Yeah, they'll kick the **** out of you without regret."

"Very well. Dovchek, take care of Meester Stahk."

"Father... here I come."

And all that was heard was a sound of thunder.

Vladimir, on the other hand, was doing well. After having made his way across the United States, Comrade Vlad, as his nickname came to be, was now one of Russia's top marksmen, almost as good as the legendary Vasili Zaitsev (that guy is real btw). After receiving a shot in the leg, Vlad was sent back home with Russia's highest medal of honor. He died in 2023, but never knew if Russia had won the war or not, as he soon went deaf and blind in a car accident a year after his return.

Re: RPG:Freedom Fighters

Ok, Karson, you still didn't fix it. No skills, weaknesses, fears, history is AGAIN short--you just copied it and spaced it out, AGAIN!!!! Did you even read what I wrote?

Re: RPG:Freedom Fighters

@ Fett_II – What a way to go   tongue

@ Karson – If you would like, I can try to help you get a working character-sheet up.  PM me if you’re interested

@ Werda Verd – Ooops, didn’t see your in for me; I could have had something up before now.  Sorry ‘bout that.  Posting now…

Mitch paced back and forth in the Major’s modest quarters.  After several minutes, he finally walked in and dropped into his chair.

"So what was it you wanted to tell me, Mitch?"

With a deep breath, Mitch stared hard into Kados’s eyes.  “Major, you know I’d follow you where ever you led, and that I’d be the last to doubt your judgment…”

“But?”

Mitch folded his arms and gritted his teeth a little.  “But… I think you’re making a mistake with all these new recruits we’re taking in.  All those refuges that came in about the time that Alex did, now this ‘Price’ character.  If we keep going like this, we’ll pick up a mole…”

Re: RPG:Freedom Fighters

ooc: no prob, Ralin. Just glad things are moving again.

“But… I think you’re making a mistake with all these new recruits we’re taking in.  All those refuges that came in about the time that Alex did, now this ‘Price’ character.  If we keep going like this, we’ll pick up a mole…”

"I see your point, Mitch, and I know the possibilities. That's why only those I trust most know the exact depot we're hitting. The civvies don't even know anything beyond we're attacking somewhere. All new joiners have been isolated from details until we decide we can trust them. Price will be told only that we're attacking someplace, and will be taken to where he'll cover us from. I'm glad you've told me how you feel on this, and you know I trust your instincts. Do you suspect anyone in particular?

Re: RPG:Freedom Fighters

Captain Blackmoon walked in, taking a deep drag of a questionably imported Cuban cigar, the heavy fragrance dragging in behind him.

"Kid's smart, Kados," he said while eyeing Mitch with the look of a seasoned killer, "if he says he thinks you're getting sloppy..."

"I did say I agreed, didn't I Captain?" Kados said.

Mitch looked at the both of them, considering the consequences of any accusations.

Re: RPG:Freedom Fighters

“No one special Major.  Had an eye on Alex for a while; he just seemed too good for what he claimed to be, but he seems to have proven himself tonight.”

“Doesn’t mean a damn thing” Blackmoon spat.  “I’ve dealt with Red Special Forces; they kill their own without a flinch.  With few exceptions, we need to be cautious of everybody.”

Mitch’s rating of Blackmoon went up a few notches.  “It’s just a feeling sir.  We have too many new faces.  Sooner or later we’ll bring one home that isn’t as helpless as they seem.”

The major let out a sigh.  “Yes, it’s certainly a possibility.  More then a possibility.  But we are fighting to protect and liberate those poor souls living up there.  Does safety justify abandoning them to their deaths?”

Mitch stiffened.  “If it means it leads to our deaths…..I think it does.  They’re not fighting for anything, except maybe their next food ration card.  As long as we’re the only hope this city has, I think chances with the security or this place are the last thing we should be taking.”

Mitch looked to Blackmoon, unsure of the reaction he’d get.
