Jeremy Bulloch's Retirement Announcement

Published • Written by • Categorized in Follow Fett

Dear Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to stop attending conventions and hang up the Fett helmet. It has not been an easy decision to make. In 1979 I was called onto the set of Empire Strikes Back to play Boba Fett, and since that day it has changed the entire direction of my life in such a wonderful way. It has been a privilege to have had the opportunity to inspire so many generations of Star Wars fans. I have had over 20 years of travelling with my wife Maureen to some amazing countries and have met so many wonderful fans. Thank you all so much and we will miss you all.

‘May the Force be with you always’

Jeremy

You were the very first Star Wars autograph I ever received! You gave me the bug! Years later we met again in Torquay at a photoshoot where you came back as we missed the photoshoot as I kept getting stopped for photos (I was Darth Vader). You took the time out to come back for me. And then my friend (the Stormtrooper) got his lege Slave One ship signed by yourself. A true legend and a gentleman. Thank you for making the memories. Enjoy your retirement, Jeremy. May the force be with you, Always

It was a pleasure to meet you and your wonderful wife. Your kindness and generosity is an inspiration. I will always remember our last meeting. 21. Hearing that Jeremy has decided to retire from the convention circuit is sad, but I personally would like to thank for all the encouragement and love he and his wife have shown the fans during the many years attending events worldwide.

Having had a photo shoot with him last weekend at LFCC in his armour was a very special moment for me.

Now with the announcement of his retirement, it has made that day even more memorable, and something I shall never forget.

Now with the announcement of his retirement, it has made that day even more memorable, and something I shall never forget.

In a strange way it is very fitting that as one of the characters from Star Wars, and a fellow Brit that he inspired me not only to create and wear my own armour, but to also along with a long time friend, to start the the Vok’Chi, the UK clan of the MMCC.

May you have a long and happy retirement Jeremy with Maureen.

  22. Dr.Abbey says:
