Yeah in Tucson right now it gets well over 100 every day now. And the slowly rising humidity as monsoon season approaches will just make it wrose. At least, it will if it doesn't cool down after a storm.

Life in the Dune Sea right?  Yeah, it's been well over 100 for a while here as well in my corner of the state; I think the forcast said 111 for today.  And no clouds, no wind, nothing at all to take the edge off of it...  At least it had kind of a late start.  The last few years we've been holding out until really late in May and even early June before we start breaking 100.  Usually we're up there once or twice before April is out...  Good ol' Globle Warming eh?   tongue

Yeah, same here. This years El Nino really threw everything off. Though now it feels like we're making up for it, hahaha! So long as we get a proper monsoon season this year, instead of El Nino coming in and ruining it before it even started like last year.

When I'm not on the BFFC I'm either working ( sad ) or drawing and playing with my pet dogs and bird.  Or I do like today and go out and ride a jet ski and swim big_smile

BTW: Terra, that sounds so nasty, I'm terrified of insects and I totally get the humidity thing living in FL and all.

Yeah, last summer we really didn't have any of the typical thunder storms and weather at all; was all really mellow.  The dust storms and thunderheads make for some really crazy days, but at least they make it feel like we have more then one and a half season  -  summer and pieces of a spring and a fall mashed into about 3 or 4 months

It is disgusting like hell. Doesn't last long but I must say when it's the day for that I hate having to go out then.

That therapist friend of mine is in Louisiana, and when I went to visit him there, it was really bad for humidity. I am not sure if it is worse there or in FL

Yeah I know what you mean. Southern Arizona is pretty bad when it comes to seasons. Mostly it seems like we have more then six months of summer, and the rest of the year is "not summer". Except for the rare snowfall, we don't really have anything that can be considered winter in Tucson. At least compared to most of the country/world. Which is weird just because the mountains all around the city (especially the Catalinas) do, in fact, have winter, and proper seasons in general. I think the northern part of the state is better for that as well. And, well, I guess every part of the state that's not the desert!

Humidty is kind of an odd thing for me. But then, I live in a climate dry enough for me to feel minute changes of humidity in the air. Dunno what I'd do in a really humid climate, lol.

Re: What do you do when you're not on BFFC?

Speaking from the frigid north I must say I love never going above 90. It actually got up to 87 the other day! Anything over about 75-80 is too hot for me. However I'd prefer to have more spring and fall. We usually have about 6 months winter, 4 months summer, 1 month spring, and 1 month fall. With all the rain and stuff up here summer really just began two weeks ago or so, but the last few days it's been back to rainy. Had to wear my coat yesterday when we were out shopping.

Cecilia and Ralin, I really, really don't know how you do that. It's been REALLY hot since 2 days here, I mean above 40'C (no idea what that means in 'F, but it must be the first time it hits anything close to you), and it's like, I WANT OUT of the heat, lol. Can't enjoy time outside at that weather, lol. Too hot for me. I don't know how you stand that for days and days and days in the Dune Sea. tongue

Re: What do you do when you're not on BFFC?

I'm on summer break right now so I'll either be playing videogames or basketball or something (although not this week since it got really hot up here)

Hot in Canada, don't make me laugh. Try Alabama, USA at the during July and August. we are talking upper 90s

But Alabama is nothing compared to Iraq. 125 degrees, man, on a cool day.

Re: What do you do when you're not on BFFC?

Hey don't be so quick to laugh at it, it's been feeling upwards of 40 C for the past week! Luckily it's cooling down now though, and yeah I know I can't complain one of my cousins was in Afghanistan and was telling me about how hot it is.

Re: What do you do when you're not on BFFC?

we've been having a heat wave for the last week here, and today it finally rained. actually, it poured.

and if anyone doesn't know how to convert Celsius (C) with Fahrenheit (F), follow this formula:

F = (1.8 x C) + 32

Re: What do you do when you're not on BFFC?

Can't you just take 32 from the F and get C

Yeah it raining outside my window now

Clever. Thanks!  Means we had it above 100'F this week. Here in Canada, yup. It doesn't happen often, but when it happens we have it full apparently. tongue

Oh cool! Montreal's pretty awesome, one of my friends moved there for school last year so I've visited a few times and it's a always fun place to go

Around here in North Carolina is has been "promising" to rain but the clouds have just not gone through with it. Which would make cloud watching one thing I do when I'm not on the BFFC.

I'm up in D.C. now and it got upwards of 102 F.  Crazy, way to hot for me.

Ouch CA; and DC is a freekin swamp at that.  I've heard the humidity is the real killer, plus heat that high...  even worse that what it's going to be like here pretty soon.

Re: What do you do when you're not on BFFC?

Lately I've been going to summer school, it sucks but w/e I've been off since April so I guess two months isn't SO bad to take out of my summer and I have a pretty light course load next semester anyways. I've also started weight lifting at the gym in my school

Re: What do you do when you're not on BFFC?

Working on a 3rd version of my website. It's gonna allow people to customize the appearance, gonna have flash animations and a lot of other pretty things. And it's a lot of work. tongue

Got nothing to show just yet, still at gathering stuff in the back, lol. At least I got a clear idea of what it will look like when it's finished, and of what I am gonna put into it.

Today I spent a big chunk of time trying to set my FTP properly, lol. Been kinda tough as I still don't know much about managing my own domain yet, lol. Like I didn't know I had to grant myself a FTP log-in, lol. Found out I am now an email provider too, I have like 1000 emails people can have on my site, lol. It's like full-equipped and ready to become a corporation.

I am thinking about it. Might actually turn my domain into a real business. Still gotta go through a ton of govenmental infocrap just so I know what I am doing, and who knows, maybe get some $$ help, lol, but it's part of the plan.
