Topic: The Most Fearsome Visage

Put yourself in the SW universe, if you were staring down barrel of a blaser, the glowing blade of a lightsabre or the sheen of a vibro-blade. Who's visage would turn your blood to ice?

A hooded figure who's face you couldn't see? A helmeted hunter who's cold stare is only intensified by the fact you can't see their eyes? Or is it the hateful yellow glare of a Zabrak who wants to see your blood spilled across the pavement?

Personally I think it'd be Darth Maul for me, with those awful teeth and shocking eyes filled with such anger I think I'd be ducking for cover...

they ARE!!!  or at least the mean ones are.  Can't say I'm scared of C3-PO   tongue big_smile

If you run, I can track you.  If you hide, I will find you.  If you fight, I will watch you fall......

Re: The Most Fearsome Visage

Yet Maul was nothing more than a rage-driven weapon.  He eliminated an entire cadre of Black Sun.  Going down a dark alleyway, and running into him would pretty much stop me dead.  Literally if Im slow enough.

Due to maintenance problems, the light at the end of the tunnel will not be in operation today.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Re: The Most Fearsome Visage

Vader comes to mind... he's like seven feet tall, he sounds like the end of the world, and he looks like a monstrous Nazi.

Just a simple man trying to make his way in the universe.

His helmet was influenced by the german WWII helmet I think

Thankfully you weren't in the chatroom when the Emperor in Thong joke started, you'd need more therapy tongue

Yes.  All who were present are now legally insane.  Not that I wasn't already.  Did Appo ever get his Sunflower Seed addiction cleared up anyway?  tongue

Re: The Most Fearsome Visage

That is a tough one. I'd say an armored Trandoshan from Republic Commando. Whenever I ran into one of those, I was like "great, my whole squad's gonna die now". But Vader is pretty scary. IG-88 is too. Fett would be intimidating. Another good one is Darth Malak.

Re: The Most Fearsome Visage

Would be hard to beat Fett slowly emerging from a dark ally, seeing youself in that black T-visor and knowing you can't escape.  Vader probably looks more scary, but I wouldn't want to be on the bad side of either

That would be Doctor Doom, but ontopic, i think it would be obvious that we'd all crap in our pants out of fear. I'd say any of the above mentioned would do it for me. Just to know that they're even standing there is enough, although you could easily escape from a Rancor, if you aren't too scared to run. Actually, in Jedi Academy, there is a level where you are in a cargo warehouse, and a mutated rancor has been set loose, so while killing Dark Jedi, you have to manage to outrun and trap the thing, meanwhile it blasts through walls and destroys the crates. Kinda scary especially when you can't kill it by attacking with your lightsaber.

Re: The Most Fearsome Visage

Fear, eh? Hmm Vader is dark, menacing. Darth Nilihus has those dark black lifeless eyes, and he can drain the life right from you. He would be scary to me. Fett, has great potential for making one quake in fear. You know you're in trouble when you see him after you.

I realized that all three of these guys wear masks, or helmets. You don't see their faces. That must play into the human psyche.

Re: The Most Fearsome Visage

hmm, all good answers, i'd agree with darth maul, ig-88 and fett. vader would scare me the most though! vader is basically the "scary" from fett, maul and ig-88 combined!

sidious creeps me out too. he's so ugly i'd probably just let myself die if i saw him. and he reminds me of that creeper on poltergeist II. esp since his spirit can travel after death

Re: The Most Fearsome Visage

i absolutely love this thread

and i agree too, maul would be one that no matter how bad@ss i am id be terrified lol
vader would be also

anything else im sure id be able to handle

Re: The Most Fearsome Visage

This thread is great, Mel. It is especially appropriate now that Halloween is coming, I am thinking Darth Vader or
Boba Fett would be most menacing.

A man's worst enemy can't wish on him what he can think up himself. Yiddish saying

Re: The Most Fearsome Visage

I dont think I would be as afraid of Fett as you would think...Yeah if hes after you your GOING to die, but he has an honor code, he wont drag it out and it will be clean and quick.

A Dark Force user on the other hand would torture you to no end, just to hear your screams.

And after i saw a cutsense in the Force Unleashed where Darth Vader picks up a person with the force and just tears them apart...he twists there insides and snaps there ribs...breaks there bones. It freaked me out.

So id rather have someone like Fett kill me than someone like Darth Vader...Or any Dark force user for that matter.

Re: The Most Fearsome Visage

Yeah I'm currently reading the Darth Bane books and yeah I don't think I'd want to tick off a Sith. I like being pain free tongue Also notice that the dark side seems to make them all ugly over time tongue

Re: The Most Fearsome Visage

I would fear Sith more then I would fear a mando, Mandos are just normal men and women with fancy guns and good combat training. Sith are much much more.

Re: The Most Fearsome Visage

Montross would be pretty freaking scary, in that he NEVER takes alive. But I suppose, if you're wanted, you'll probably wind up dead anyways.

Sith in General would be bad. But Cadeus (sp) could have been killed by a Mando, but Fett ordered no one to kill him. So he just blew out his knee with a blaster.
