Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars series

Everyone is entilted to their opinion, but I'm pretty excited about it. The animation looks reasonable, there will be a good story line (it wont be senseless killing), and Anikan having a apprentice is an interesting idea (remember, hes a Jedi Knight...they take on apprentices). Plus I think it will have mini-storys just about Clones, Since im a big Clone-fan, this has got me pretty pumpped up.

i agree w/ Sev, why r they shoehorning in an apprentice for Anakin? next thing you know, Its going to be revealed that Jango had a son before Boba that was training this whole time in secret.

You mean, like Melvin Fett?

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars series

What I don't get is why aren't they hiring all the original actors back to provide voice work? I mean, this is gonna be in theaters! The cartoon Clone Wars mini-series had decent voice acting, but it still threw me off a bit hearing the characters with different voices.

I believe she is trying to say that if we keep keep asking for more from Star Wars, sooner or later it is going to run dry. You can't keep milking a franchise forever and expect results. If tey don't slow down with all of the animations and games and specials the Star Wars idea will slowly die as the shows get worse and worse. People will forget the old movies and only think "Omg Star Wars, I haven't thought of that since that awefule Clone Wars saga"
But I could be wrong on her meaning...

You're right on my meaning. I also might add that it will also introduce newbs who are stupid and refuse to learn. I mean, someone who is introduced into SW through a tv show and then actually wants to learn facts and what's canon and be nice, that's ok. But when a newb comes in and has their facts entirely wrong and then refuses to learn what's right, and then they go and teach other newbs what's wrong, eventually there'll be no one left who does know the canon facts.

Sorry if I'm being confusing.

Yes, I know this was written a long time ago, but I agree with them. I will say that it looks like Star Wars is getting more of an epic touch, but the style could be tweaked. I am excited about seeing more of Fett and Grevious, though.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars series

We have the theatrical release trailer.  Notice we don't hear a lot of Obi and Anakin.  My guess is that Lucasfilms did it purposely not to turn off the fans who liked Ewan and Hayden.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars series

I am looking forward to it since I am a big clone trooper fan (and when i mean big, i mean if I could I would join the GAR) but i am just not looking forward to seeing them being killed. (They represent the real soldiers that fight for us for me and it kind of breaks my heart to see them killed, but also becuase they are basically slaves to the Republic and have no life outside war. I don't know abow anyone else but it just pisses me off how alot of Jedi and other people think nothing of them and will let them die and not even bother to help them.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars series

It should be pretty cool.  I always did like seeing more of what the standard grunts go through, rather than the uber-powerhouses like the Jedi.  They'll be there too, yeah, but I'll live.  I wouldn't mind seeing it.

Due to maintenance problems, the light at the end of the tunnel will not be in operation today.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

What you mean the super uber "I'm a big bad### clonetrooper, YAY I'm gonna go kill everything in the bloodiest manner I can, because I'm a Mandalorian even though this is IMPOSSIBLE" clonetroopers aren't powerhouses?

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars series

I hope its good and it works.

Its certainly looking very good and i doubt it will be senseless killing like starship troopers.

However i would advise everyone to lower their expectations or we could have another Phantom Menace scenario( we expect a great movie and we only get a good movie so we are disapointed)

I think it will be great

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars series

....believe me, my expectations are VERY low. It will most certainly not be even half as good as TPM is.

Expectations? I've lost them. Even as a fan of animation, I plan on being dissapointed really. So if its not complete osik I'll be ok.

I see the Clones as the modern day soldier thanks to TRAVISS who should be writing CLONE canon, in fact I would buy an entire series of SKIRATA and the boys from OMEGA and DELTA, and forget about the JEDI SITH, as it resonates more in my heart.

I think that the writers of the CLONE WAR era are doing a good job of helping to tell the story of realistic warfare through the vehicle of SW and I love it.

I also love when some of the JEDI begin to see the CLONES for the unique individuals they are and no longer as the "meat droids".

That said, hug a soldier, sailor or marine (forget the airmen) and thank them for what they do, but realize that an ARMY is for keeping peace through war if diplomacy fails.
