Like I told your captain, the orphange attacked me. It was self-defense. -Richard the Warlock http://archive.lfgcomic.com/lfg0002.gifYes,to girls... :D no. He wouldn't, couse he don't need to, and the armor is part of what he really is...
In my book, experience outranks everything...If he ever washes himself, I'm sure he takes it off then. But, his helment is his face. Whats underneath the helment is private.
Half Dragon, half human, 100% Fett!Agreed, the helmet stays on as far as the rest of the galaxy is concerned. Once on Slave I or some other safe havens, maybe, but probably just for personal hygine moments or for work/repairs to the helmet itself. When you mask youself to the galaxy, you'd have to get comfortable with it on. So he probably leaves it on most of the time even when alone
"You set a code to live by. I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted...I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other men, and I require the same from them."See what? Boba talking a bath??
:P
That would seem soooooo wrong...Maybe he leaves it on even then...
"I swear by the soul I don't have, I am going to kill you."―Boba Fett
....your sick dude.
plus everyone knows about your emperor in a hot tub fantasies...

Nope, he takes it off. You should read Bubbles some time.
Hey wait a second...
Is that a dirty joke? Haha. I remember telling that one a lot.
But seriously what is this Bubbles you speak of? Do even I want to read it?
Its a fanfic someone wrote about Boba Fett....taking a bath. Its not dirty or anything (though maybe disturbing to some people), just...different. And silly! I'll try and find a link to it....
EDIT: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/160941/1/Bubbles Here it is. I promise its nothing dirty or anything like that. I wouldn't post it otherwise.
Pssh. I object to that in every manner. Boba Fett does not take baths. He just glares at the dirt and then is all clean.
And slender arms? Boba is not slender. Boba is about as chiseled as you can get. 100% pure muscle. He would have to at least be semi-bulky with so much muscle.
In conclusion, this story fails. Epically. :P

lol, that could be a Chuck Norris joke....
Boba Fett take a bath?! That fanfic has to be a joke. (He seems more like a quick shower kind of guy to me. )
A man's worst enemy can't wish on him what he can think up himself. Yiddish sayingI think that Boba would take his helmet off only to show people he cares about such as his wife, kid maybe.
and he would take it off for the doctor.(as he already did.
Uh... I read that later on when he's older and in charge of all those other mandalores( I hoped I spelled that right) that he runs around with his helmet off.
" Everyone dies, but since nobody's paid me to kill you...sleep well."-Boba Fett-
True. But nobody knew that he was Boba Fett so they would probably not think anything of it.
Carry on my wayward son!Nope. He has taken his helmet off on numerous occasions in front of people like Han Solo. I don't like how Traviss is doing that. The attempts to humanize do not work for me. She should stick to clones and leave Boba be.

Nah, I don't think Boba ever takes a bath. He probably just rubs himself down with engine grease every now and then to keep things from sticking to his filth. I mean he's all the time running around in his armor so why would he care about what he smells like?? :P

What the emperor(krinklestine as I like to call him :)) in a HOT TUB!!! Oww oww my eyes, my eyes!!!!

Wait did you say Traviss is a "she" this whole time I thought it was a dude.

Haha. But yes Karen Traviss is a female as far as I know... >.>
Everything I Know Is A Lie!!!!!!!!!

ditto
"Sir, Finishing this Cake."Ohh now that I think of it Karen does sound like a girl name :)

I don't think he would... at least the Boba Fett I know would keep his identity hidden. But maybe he's changing. I haven't read how Traviss portrays him in her novels, I've only read the pre-prequel novels such as Tales of the Bounty Hunters and The Boba Fett Trilogy (think it's called that).
Either way, I am a bit afraid to read about this "new" Boba to be honest. I enjoy her RC novels, but I am nervous to find out just how much she has changed the Boba I fell in love with after reading Tales of the Bounty Hunters... :(
I think Traviss has waaaay over elaborated the character. There should be no good reason for Fett to unmask in the presence of others. Period.

Mand'alor Fett is a different man than he was 30 years before. Are you the same person you were even 10 years ago? I doubt it.

Yeah, you got me there. Hell, I am a different person from one day to the next.
Point well taken.
I guess it's more that I just don't like Traviss' writing style. It does not hit me as having a very SW feel to it. I don't feel like I am in the SW universe when I read here books. But that's a matter for another ongoing thread.

yknow, i've gotten that feeling before too
they do feel more removed.
And I still feel that Boba Fett's face is the T-visor. It's the one everyone knows. Plus, as nice as it is that Traviss is focusing on Mandalorians, I don't like having their cool mysterious air removed...the were cooler, for me, when they were rare, unique, and thoroughly awesome warriors.

Best Fett line from the EU:
"This IS my face."
Speaking to Dengar about never showing his face and always having his helmet on in "Twin Engines of Destruction"
That line says it all. Period.

You know, that's just it. BF IS that helmet. And if we are to believe Lucasfilm executives, that's all he was ever supposed to be. Please refer to the (Video: Introduction to Boba Fett) for my reasons.

It DOES leave more to the imagination that way.
A man's worst enemy can't wish on him what he can think up himself. Yiddish sayingActually it was Dengar and that woman... Nella, who saw him unmasked.
I prefer the movie Boba Fett, or the Bounty Hunter Trilogy. I am not interested in his personal life. What he looks like, what was his childhood like, etc etc. I want him to stay the most dangerous and misterious bounty hunter he has always been =).
Boba Fett since the beginning has always carried that air of mystery. That's what drew me to the character. When he unmasked, the mystery was shattered, which in a way did ruin the person he was.
RTFQ... Read The F***ing Question!Yes, it's a shame they couldn't have kept him masked. In some ways his popularity was his demise that way. Lucas might have done AOTC differently if he understood what people really wanted out of Fett.
A man's worst enemy can't wish on him what he can think up himself. Yiddish sayingOf course most of us have discovered that Boba has unmasked himself in "The Legacy of the Force" novel. This was done in the presence of Fett's grand-daughter, Han Solo, and Liea.
I believe that this timeframe was an extreem revelation for Fett. In the climax of Boba Fett's death, it creates purpose and justification for his uncharacteristic actions.
What do you all think?

Possible. It would certainly be extreme for him take his helmet off in front of people, even if one of them is his granddaughter.
A man's worst enemy can't wish on him what he can think up himself. Yiddish sayingThis might be a bit late, but I'm just letting everyone know, that in the second book in the Legacy of the Force series, Bloodlines, by Karen Traviss, Boba Fett takes off his helmet in front of his doctor. Big deal? I'm just saying, thats all.
Even through death you cannot be killed. If you are a true Mandalorian you will live on and be remembered forever. -Kom'rk VhettOf course most of us have discovered that Boba has unmasked himself in "The Legacy of the Force" novel. As you can see I have already stated that Boba Fett has unmasked himself.......
Not ONLY to his doctor, but Liea, Han, and his grand-daughter.
His doctor is paid LARGE amounts of credits to keep his identity and appearance a secret, and Im sure if he didnt keep it a secret then he and others wouldnt be living for long. ;)

I think he'd do a lot more than just simply unmask for me! ^_~
J/k.... maybe. =P
This might be deep, but maybe George Lucas was going for a bit of irony when he decided to unmask Fett in AOTC? Like, Boba is this hidden, mysterious character in the OT... but in AOTC/ROTS he's the face of the whole freakin' Grand Army of the Republic! Ironic, no? To have his character exposed on such a massive scale when he went to such great lengths to keep his true identity hidden...
Pffft, yeah right. GL isn't that thoughtful. XD
