What branch/specialist group would he be in?
I know this might be a bit much with current situations, but this question came to mind as I was reading the "If Boba used Earth weapons" thread.
In my opinion, it's between Marines or Army Rangers. What do you guys think?

I think he would be in the Navy SEALS. they are more Bounty Hunterish and they do their missions mostly quietly and carefully just like Boba Fett.

Definately SEAL. Rangers tend to go in and adapt the populace into a fighting force,SEALs just go in and make you wish you were somewhere else.

They would obviously create a whole new branch of the military just for Boba. Or maybe the secret service as an assassin (Don't think they don't have them.)
But as for military... probably Marine Force Recon.

I think he would be in the Marines special forces like the Green berets.

I would say Delta Force, or maybe the Navy SEALS. Both are highly regarded for their skills, their operations are shrouded in secrecy, and they do a mixture of sneaky stealth operations and good old fashioned combat.
Or the black opperation forces.

That couldnt be further from the truth. A little research will show that they are two completely separate areas of service.

Not at all. Delta Force is far superior, more specialized and more covert than SEALs. Delta Force are close to black ops.
Boba's a very skilled allrounder, but he's not too much of a team player or covert ops guy. In terms of specialization, he's probably a mixture between SEALs, Delta Force, SAS, Green Berets, SOAR Nightstalkers and Rangers. And maybe with a slight touch of Black Ops.

I am afraid I do not know much about the US military so I am going to choose something from the British army.
I think that Boba would be great in the SAS.
