I think the Chat room should be Members only.
We have had some people coming in a impersinate people.

Members could still impersonate others.

That does not matter. Its the guests that drive me nuts.  Anyone can just walk right in and be one of us.

It would be even better if the chat room worked like the boards, you had to log in to use it.

I'll consider it. Making the login required is a possibility.

All you have to do is type in a name.  I heard someone was impersonating  BFFC Admin....(you will have to ask Draco Aaron)

Please follow the same rules in the chat room that apply to the boards. Everything is logged and you're just as likely to be warned or banned as you are here. That said, we opened a chat room in the first place to trust the members to play nice.

So...don't talk about what you find on each others' MySpace pages in public; you know who you are. This place is for all ages.

On a positive note, the chat room has changed. Take a peek.

We just bumped up the font size quite a bit. Sounds like you came during a busy time -- always a good thing -- so, we'll consider adjustments if there's more issues like this.

Hey couldn't we make some sort of display saying who's in the chat room and who isnt?

No plans in the short term to have that feature. Noted, but just post messages and look at the clock (which will be displayed at the bottom, so you can see if the times match, since time zones differ).

MandoGirl, no it's still there. Try using a modern web browser or turn on JavaScript (usually on) or refresh the page.

Boba Dude and I have been having the same problem. I assumed that it is a minor glitch. I logged out and logged in, but to no avail.

I was thinking about the Chat room, and it's annoying we can't see who's online in the room.

If you go http://freewarejava.com/applets/chat.shtml <- there, there are some free java applets for chat rooms. Many which allow you to see who's in the chat and some other functions. (Makes it work in IRC style.)

We'll consider a different web app, but it's got to be AJAX based, not Java. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

In the meantime, if you drop by the chat room, post a message. Simple as that.

Besides, it's quite amusing watching people just barely miss each other by minutes in chat room.

I just miss everyone, for the most part.  I've had TWO times where I actually got on at the same time as someone else.
