Topic: Thoughts on the "Bounty Hunter #1" comic?

So, I haven't received it yet so no spoilers please, but what are YOUR thoughts on the recent Bounty Hunters issue 1 comic? Any thoughts on the specific characters? How's Bossk, I heard he's in this too. But like I said please keep it spoiler-free. But with that being said, what are your guy's thoughts?

I know people who have really liked it, and others who haven’t really... I haven’t read it, so I can’t give my opinion, but it is curious to see that there are various opinions about it...

Same here! If it's anything like Age of Rebellion Boba, then it should be great!

About to publish a spoiler-filled review on BFFC, penned by Gustavo.

But for a mostly spoiler-free point: is "Star Wars: Bounty Hunters" retconning "Shadows of the Empire" or what? Same between ESB and ROTJ transit of Han to Jabba era?

Re: Thoughts on the "Bounty Hunter #1" comic?

I feel like it's got too much going on and they're afraid to have classic characters have personality so far. There's also not a lot of plot development in each issue.  I love the art, but I'd kill for another Boba centered novel. Something to sink my teeth into.

This story is preRotJ, so there's no danger. Put it immediately after the sail barge incident and I'm stuck to every panel.

I don't care about any of the other bounty hunters.  Is Bossk anyone's first favorite bounty Hunter? 2nd? 3rd?  Why not choose zuckus for the comic? Is he too hard to write for? Is Bossk 1 dimensional enough to make him the heel of some jokes and move on?  I think they've had him say something about the score keeper in the first two issues. If he brings it up again in the third I'm going to pen some upset letters to the editor.

I had high hopes for this series. I love the splash pages of Boba kicking some faces in, but I want more. Show me why people have fear of and pay for Fett more than a 3v1 fight.

In the movie he uses some guile against the good and bad guys. Show me that knife's edge wit.

There are so many strings to pull with this character and discover from, but if this is only going to be a paint by numbers, back where we started at story, I'm not sure if I want to keep following.

I mean, I'll still buy a copy, but I won't tell my friends about it.

Re: Thoughts on the "Bounty Hunter #1" comic?

Aadoniel, yes, I understand you. It is as if I did not see the Boba I want in the series (and that I have only read the first issue).

On the other hand, I think Bossk is a great bounty hunter, but I'd also like to see someone else in action, like Zuckuss or 4-LOM. I've always liked them a lot, especially Zuckuss' design.

The series was not very catchy for me, so I have not continued it, but I understand others who like it. But what I think is that they could do something better or more original with Boba. But hey, that depends on the tastes.

Juan Fuentes and aadoniel, I wholeheartedly agree. I really don’t have a preference for the bounty hunters series. Vallance, In my opinion, at least, seemed a little...flat, as a character. And aadoniel, bossk is my 3rd favorite bounty hunter, behind jango and of course, boba.

Favorite Star Wars character: boba.
