Zan approched Crispin and bowed his head. "Its been awhile, hasent it?" he said. "My friend."

"Yes, too long" Crispin replied. After a brief pause Zan said: "Ive come for the latest news, and any tasks you may have for me. As you know, I owe you, and your kin my life"

Nick turned to Daphne in confusion.

"What's eating her?  All we did was ask a question.  Even if she IS an alpha's daughter, she culd be a bit respectful to her packmates."

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Clara shifted back to her human form and straightened her clothes. “Loxley’s a moron.” She grabbed Paul’s arm and pulled him out of the doorway before Loxley came charging out.

For once Loxley didn’t seem to notice the omega. “He seems determined to get somewhere.” Paul said as he watched the other wolf storm off.

Clara shrugged, “As usual it’s something to do with Daphne. I would have thought he was smart enough to realise that she’s just not interested.”

Paul shrugged, “Sometimes people don’t notice what’s right under their nose.”

“Amen to that,” Clara said with a regretful sigh. She shouldn’t have bothered with Loxley. Besides she had always considered Daphne a friend. She turned back to Paul and looked at his dishevelled appearance, “So what have you been up to?”

-

Daphne shook her head. “I think Anita has a lot of secrets. I’m guessing I probed too deeply to fast.”

Nick shrugged, “Still seems a bit extreme.”

Daphne nodded. She’s had enough for tonight and wanted to return to the conclave. “Shall we head home?”

At that moment they heard a wolf howl, “That sounds like Loxley.” Nick commented.

“Just great,” Daphne replied and wondered what he was up to. Several wolves howled in response but not Anita.

"You know, that guy really needs to tone down the testosterone a bit.  And coming from a fellow male, that IS extreme.  But seriously, Loxley has issues."  Nick tried to catch a scent, but failed, they weren't close enough, and the wind was against him.  He turned back to Daphne.

"Well, do you want to check on Loxley, or do you want to go back home?  Just a warning, but I would advise treading carefully if you go after Loxley."  He then awaited her answer.

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Paul shrugged, “Sometimes people don’t notice what’s right under their nose.”

“Amen to that.”  Paul flinched inwardly.  But he chuckled at the irony of her statement.  It's not as if he had been very subtle about his love for Clara.  He thought it was painfully obvious.  He was always stalking her.  Yet she never paid him any attention.  She probably mistook it for skulking.

“So what have you been up to?”

Paul shrugged again, "Nothing much.  Last night I got into a fight with Loxley and nearly killed him.  I ran off and met some halfa-were soldier who thought I had killed some friend of his.  Turns out it was a vamp."

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Clara raised a brow, “You nearly killed Loxley? Well done, it’s a shame you didn’t.” Clara said as she glared after the unbalance wolf.

“I thought the pack might throw me out for sure,” Paul replied looking a little strained.

Clara patted Paul on the shoulder, “You may be the omega but I actually think you’d have done us a favour by ridding us of Loxley.”

Paul visibly winced at her words. He didn’t like being reminder by her that he was the omega.

“Are you okay?” she asked as she noticed his reaction. She lifted her hand from his shoulder to cup the side of his face. “You look a little out of sorts.”

-

Daphne looked at Nick, “As much as I’d like to go home, I have a feeling that Loxley is about to do something dumb.”

Nick laughed, “When does he do anything that’s not?”

Daphne chuckled, “Well that’s true. I say we check out what he’s up to then decide what to do.”

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Nick grinned, and then threw his head back and howled, overcome by his lupine instincts.  With a laugh, he and Daphne raced through the forest, seeking out the mad werewolf, hoping to catch him before he did anything stupid.  Well, before he did anything MORE stupid.  Nick made sure not to shift; he wanted to stay human as long as possible, or at least until he passed by his den.  He didn't want to tear up yet another set of clothes, and he wanted to get to his goal as quickly as possible.  He was quite glad that the werewolf condition gave him enhanced agility and endurance.  He could keepup this pace for hours, if need be.  He hoped it wouldn't be quite that long.  This was the time when he reveled in bying a lycan; the hunt, and the thrill that came with it.  It didn't matter what side he was on, whether to aid Loxley or contain him, so long as he was pat of the pack as a whole.  And that was what really mattered.

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Fort sat at the table in his room at the Murk Motel, his scanner and test it laid out in front of him. He had pulled it out of the crate a little while ago and set it up. He was almost done with the tests of Tiffany.

The body was still in the body bag and was in the corner farthest away from the table. Fort had removed and eye, a finger, the heart, a canine and a piece of skin from her boy for testing. He had done various chemical tests and right now he was midway through the scanner test.

The scanner was a contraption about the size of a coffee maker. In its center was the test chamber where the red eye of Tiffany was now undergoing various tests and scans to check for foriegn traces in it or anything else unusual. A blue light was passing over the red eye in intervals. Soon a green light passed over it. Then finally a red light. the machine made various noises and sounds as the scan progressed. A small screen had a read out of the progress and told Fort everything about the eye. He had already done this for all the other test subjects (Finger, canine etc.) and nodded as the eye scan finished.

A small ticker printed out the side of the scanner with the results. He compared them to the others and nodded once more. He got his cell phone and called HQ. After the security measures he was patched in to research and testing labs department and he told them the results.

"Alright Sir Fortesque, were analyzing what you've shown us and we're pretty sure what it is..." said the lab technician back at HQ

"Come onnnnnnnnn Demi-Lich...Show me a Demi-Lich..." Fort said sarcastically

(A demi-lich is one of the, if not the most feared and most powerful of all undead creatures. It is only a floating skull usually with gems embedded into its forehead and it speaks and casts spells of unimaginable power. Its power is greater than that of a Dracolich [undead dragon])

"Its a Balor Lord." said the technician grimly. Fort's jaw dropped.... "Damn" he thought

"Jesus..." Fort said

"Yeah you better hope He's helping you out now. I'll patch you in to the commander and you can request reinforcements-"

"NO." Fort said firmly, he could not risk him seeing hismother finally. If the Knights came down here they'd kill everything and anything when they heard a Balor Lord was here.

"What? Fort, don't be a dumbass....its a Balor Lord! You cant-"

"Listen Rob, you cant tell anyone about this. No reinforcements. No involving the commander. Got it?"

"But Fort for God's sakes..."

"Please just trust me. Consider it a pay off from when I saved you from that Hell Knight that one time."

"Yea but fort this is no Hell Knight!"

"Please...you owe me...just trust me please."

"......Fine. But if it gets extra sticky down there, which it will I can assure you of that, then dont hesitate to call please. Im sure Danny doesnt want his brother dead."

"Danny will be fine. Im gonna call him later anyways. Alright thanks Rob, say hi to Margaret and the kids for me."

"I hope you know what your doing Fort..."

"So do I." And Fort hung up. He looked at the test kit grimly. He cleaned it out and put it away in the crate. What the hell was he going to do now.....

He opened his phone again and called Daphne...

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

((Sounds fine by me))

Daphne enjoyed running with Nick, it was nice to be with a pack mate that enjoyed the hunt. It was also nice that she was hunting Loxley rather than it being vice versa.

They ran for a good twenty minutes before Loxley’s scent touched their noses. Both werewolves paused to scent the air. They slowly made their way forward and Daphne realised they were back at the site where she and Nathaniel had found Tiffany’s body. “Oh crap,” Daphne said as she put two and two together.

“What?” Nick said as she sniffed around.

“I think he’s going after Nathaniel,” Daphne said quietly.

“Who’s Nathaniel?” The Nick remembered, “Oh is he the half-wolf?”

Daphne nodded, “That’d be the one. We need to get to the Murk Motel as soon as we can.”

It didn’t take them long and as Nick and Daphne made it to the car park they spotted Loxley. Then Daphne’s phone rang, “Oh crap.” She said as she reached for it.

Loxley immediately turned and spotted them. “Nick!” he growled and started charging towards them.

“I’ll call you back,” Daphne said without waiting to hear who was on the other end of the line. She and Nick prepared to fight Loxley.

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Griggs found a motel, it was cheap, he had just enough cash.
"The Murk Motel...I've seen worse." Griggs scoffed as he walked into the lobby.
"...What do you want?" The desk clerk asked rudely.
"I need a room." Griggs replied, ignoring the woman's bad attitude.
"We got one...room sixty-seven, take it or leave it. It's eighty-two thirty."
"I'll take it." He laid cash and exact change on the counter as she tossed him a keycard.
Griggs left the office and walked up to the room. "What a jerk." He thought, opening the door to the particularly crummy room. "You get what you pay for..."

"This IS my signature."

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Well, he had half expected it to come down to this.  Nick being with Daphne, and being spotted by Loxley was enough to condemn Nick right there.  He could feel his blood pounding through his veins, and his adrnaline rushing. Ah, what a feeling.  And then Loxley was upon them.

Nick turned to the side, and gae Loxley a heping shove, using his own momentum to propel him away from the two werewolves.  It didn't take him long to regain his equilibrium.  He came back at Nick, his body morphing into half-wolf form, and claws raking Nick's cheek.  He snarled at the pain, and grabbed Loxley's arm, using his strength, and Loxley's weight to throw him over his head.  He could feel his body begin to change, but he did his best to repress it.  Loxley rose from the pavement, growled menacingly, and stalked towards them, catiously this time, having analyzed Nick's fighting style, and his weak points. Nick readied himself for the charge.

Paul couldn't hold it in.

"That's all everyone sees isn't it?"

"What?"

"The omega.  That's all I am.  That's how everyone sees me.  No one ever even thinks about just me.  And you-"
Paul stopped in mid-sentence.

"Me what?"

Paul sighed, "You never notice me.  That's all I ever wanted from you.  To be noticed."

Paul lowered his head.

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Ashryn was frustrated. He'd sent the vampire's victim to his contact at the clinic for clean up and bloodwork. The contact knew that he was required to contact Ashryn if the poor guy tested positive for vampirism. Of course the mortal public would stay ignorant. Ashryn may prefer to live among the humans, protecting them as a father protects his children, but he demanded secrecy. That was why D allowed him to operate the way he did.

However, D had been difficult to contact as of late, especially now. <Dammit, D just when things are looking fishy.>

He caught a fading hint of the female vampire's and halfling hunter's scents, and decided to track them, planning on stopping to hunt a couple of fresh criminals along the way. He thought of someone who may know of D's whereabouts, another female vampire named Tiffany.

He called her phone...

"Well, we may not be able to. Murk Valley isnt that big, but its big enough. I would suggest checking out some of the night clubs, Vampires seem to enjoy those places. But, well, have you had enough?" he asked.

Griggs re-armed and suited up to go vamp hunting. He took all his gear with him, just in case. "You never know about these places..."Griggs thought, opening up the door and stepping outside. He heard the door 2 rooms down open and looked that direction. "Is that...Nathan? Nah, couldn't be. It is! I'll be. 'Ey Fort!"

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Fort was unsettled by Daphne's sudden urgency to go. She was monumental in his quest to find his mother. He must go find her.

He suited up to the teeth and stepped outside his room. He was closing the door when he heard a familiar voice...

"Is that...Nathan? Nah, couldn't be. It is! I'll be. 'Ey Fortesque!" called out the voice. He was two doors down.

"Griggs? Griggs McMillan? What in blazes are you doing in this hell hole?" Fort asked him, the sight of a friend raised his spirits some after the bad news about the Balor Lord.

Griggs and Fort had worked together on a joint operation of the Silver Knights of St.Michael and the SAS in Asia. There was an ancient Chinese emperor, Nurhachi (first emperor of the Manchu dynasty) {TRIVIA: his remains are featured in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom intro}, who rose again in the form of a lich (not a demi-lich, its much less powerful) and was causing chaos all over Asia with his massive golden Chinese dragon he summoned. It was such a problem that both the SAS and the Knights teamed up to take him down. Griggs and Fort met on this operation and became the best of friends when they and only a handful of survivors from their teams managed to kill Nurhachi for good. But thats another story....

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

To say Clara was shocked would be an understatement. She had often been considered the beauty of her generation and had gotten a lot of attention but she’d got to the point where she simply tuned it out. She could see that Paul was on the other end of the attention spectrum. She placed a finger under Paul’s chin and lifted his head enough so he’d look her in the eye. “Paul if you wanted my attention why didn’t you just come and talk to me?”

Paul blushed and didn’t know what to say. Maybe he’d said too much.

“Too shy, huh?” she asked actually liking the idea. “Well how about this, why don’t we go for a coffee right now and you can have my undivided attention?”

-

Daphne decided to intercept Loxley’s path, she hoped he’d stop himself if she put herself in his way. If not then she’d take the brunt of his charge. As she suspected Loxley tried to avoid her, “Leave him alone, Loxley!”

Loxley snarled, “Why so you can have him as your mate.”

“No because I like having live pack mates,” Daphne told. “We came looking for you.”

This seemed to placate Loxley to a degree. “You were looking for me?”

"I'm okay for now," Audrey told. "Let's just go to some different night clubs. It's probably best if we avoid the last one."

John nodded, "Okay, we'll start at Shaky Tables."

If it bleeds, we can kill it.

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

Paul smiled weakly.  That took more guts than anything he had ever done.  ANd he had done some pretty gutsy things.  Attacking Loxley for one.  But that paled in comparison.

"Do you know of any places?"  He asked tentatively.

"Sure I'll take you there.  Follow."  Paul obidientally followed her to the edge of the forest.

"So why'd the Knights send you here for? I mean, really. What's so special about this place?"

"This IS my signature."

Re: RPG - Supernatural: Vampire vs Werewolf

"Well I could ask you the same question Griggs." Fort told him

"I came for a training exercise, simple stuff. Then a vamp...killed Simmons." Griggs said grimly

"What?! Simmons is dead?!"

(Simmons was also on the Nurhachi mission)

"Yea, some god damn vamp....thats why im still here. Sent the rest of the team home. I gotta avenge him Fort."

"No no, I understand. I do the same for Simmons...he was a good man, a good soldier...."

There were a few seconds of silent pondering on both Griggs and Fort's minds.

"Anyways, what are YOU here for?" Griggs asked Fort

"I was sent to investigate some weird deaths going on in the area with were's and vamps. Theyre being sapped of their powers and energy it looks like. They look like mummies afterwards."

"Thats demonic work right there."

"Exactly what I said, so I ran some tests on a body and sent the results to HQ."

"You mean you have the body in your room?" Griggs asked, a alittle skeptical

"Yea take a look at this..." Fort unlocked the door and showed Griggs the body bag in the corner of the room. Fort had to get rid of it later....it was quite disturbing. He unzipped it and Griggs bent lower to see it.

"Jeez...you said you tested it and sent the results to the Knights?" Griggs asked Fort

"Yea, couple of minutes ago."

"What did they say it was?"

Fort swallowed hard, Griggs would understand the situation once he said what kind of demon it was.

"Balor Lord."

"What the $^#! Fort! How many reinforcements did you call? How many do you think I should call-"

"None Griggs."

"What?! A BALOR LORD FORT. This is no Imp or Revenant or Hell Knight. Its a BALOR LORD."

"But theres a problem..."

Fort explained the whole situation about his possible mother, Anita, and the jeopardy that any other slayers in Murk Valley would cause. They would wipe out all vamps and wolves alike in their search for the Balor Lord. Fort wanted his mother alive.

As a fellow lycan hybrid, Griggs understood.

"Your mother...jeez Fort. So much for random useless city of Murk Valley. Now theres warring vamp and wolf conclaves and a Balor Lord and your mother might be here." Griggs told Fort

"Yea, we got ourselves a big problem now-"

A phone rang in the room. Fort checked his, the room phone and Griggs checked his (does he have one?). Fort couldnt find the source. He thought he heard it close to... Tiffany?

Fort looked at Griggs and Grigs shrugged. He looked back at the body bag and unzipped it again. He reached into a pocket of Tiffany's and found a phone ringing.

"Ashryn" the caller ID read.

"Ashryn?" Fort asked Griggs

"Dont know one." Griggs replied, shrugging again.

It continued to ring.

"Do I...?" Fort asked

"Um...this isnt in the manual...do it I guess."

Fort flipped the phone open.

"Hello?" He spoke into the mic.

“Yeah,” Daphne said and looked to Nick for a reason, he stared at her blankly. “We found another weird body. We were checking you were alright.”

“Really?” Loxley said as his anger dissipated.

“Nick thought you were out.” Daphne said trying to shift the attention away from herself.

Nick nodded, “Yeah we wanted to make sure everyone was okay.”

Loxley snarled at Nick, “You were hoping I was dead, weren’t you?”
