Re: RPG-Superhumans

Chromium extended his sword and pushed the old bell tower doors open. Flame hovered off the ledge with a fire sword drawn and ready. Chromium's human form, Tanis, had been somewhat of a medieval weapon enthusiast, so he knew what kind of weapons went against which the best. He sucked in his giant sheild and extended his one handed sword into a two handed great sword.

"How did you find me Flame?" Chromium asked, his deep voice reverberating in Haze's and Flame's ears with a metallic tang.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Yes, what the hell is that thing?

Flame floated, his sword glowing brightly. He didnt answer, because there was nothing to say. He waited, silent.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Chromium didnt fly outside just yet. Haze was injured and he would not leave her side. His black cloak swayed around his feet with this wind and his eyes never broke Flame's gaze.

"Haze, someone to see you." Chromium called inside. He remorphed his arm again and stepped aside, extending his arm in the "Come in" motion.

"I trust that you will conduct yourself accoridingly Flame. I desire no battle to be fought in my home."

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Haze managed to get to her feet. "What happened to me, Flame? Did you attack me?" She said out loud more for Chromium's sake.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

"No. That was some girl, I dont know how I didnt feel her." Flame glanced at Chromium, wary of any attacks.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

"Chromium described her, sounds like Vandal." Haze told as she sat back down on the bed.

I didn't think it was you, I just wanted to confirm in front of Chromium. She voiced directly to Flame's mind.

"So what happened after that?" Hazed asked, not particularly worried about who answered.

Chromium walked to his throne like chair and sat down. He lit his pipe again and took a puff.

"Well, thats when I came in and took you out of the fight Haze. Unfortunately, I did have to attack Flame in the process. I was unsure of who injured you Haze."

"I would have done the same." Flame said.
Are you alright? He asked Haze. He looked around, takeing in his surroundings.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Yeah I'm okay. Sort of, Vandal seriously messed with my head. Haze informed Flame directly.

Haze didn't miss the fact that both guys seemed rather protective, it was nice since they both knew exactly what she was. "Thanks guys. So what happened to Vandal?"

"Oni has her." Flame said. "A-" He began, but quickly shut himself up.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Chromium saw Flame looking around at the quant dwelling he called home.

"I realize this small dwelling may not suit you Flame, but take into account that I have nearly no money. Also that I arrived in Mission City not long ago. This is all I have at the moment." Chromium said to Flame as he puffed his pipe some more.

"But continue..."

Re: RPG-Superhumans

"It was nothing" Flame said quickly.
He has someone else there, from before I talked to him, a woman. He then described Oni's captive to Haze I dont know if shes still alive, but I think she is, Oni probably had a plan for her.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

It's Starbright, isn't it? Hazed asked, growing tense.

She noticed that Chromium was watching. "So what will Oni do with Vandal?"

Flame shrugged, "Probably use her for ransom if he needs to."

"What for?" Haze asked quickly.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

After saving Voidhunter, Oni & Jericho returned to Oni's bunker with their new comrade. Jericho explained what was going to go down the next day, as Oni went into his captive room.

There they were, side by side. Starbright and Vandal, each with a powerful IV drip in her arm.

While at the prison, Oni had released just about every supercriminal there, so the heroes would be distracted during Oni's night of glory. But right then, Oni wasn't worried about the do-gooders; He was worried about Haze. The girl was powerful, and Oni knew it. She was the middle ground, the thing that could possibly topple Oni's house of cards.

"Must be goin soft. Oughta get my head examined..." Oni mumbled as he turned off Starbirght's IV.

After defeating the katana guy, and helping Jack back to his feet, Sunburn decided to look for Darklight.  He started at the mall, because he could have sworn that during the fight, there was a loud crash.  Eventually, Sunburn came across a gaping hole in the wall, as if someone had crashed a vehicle into it. *Maybe there is a piece of the car, truck, or whatever it was that crashed here..... Just hopefully I can find a clue.*  He thought.  Sunburn dove down to take a closer look.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Oni lifted Starbright, who was still unconscious as the drugs had yet to wear off, and carried her into his main room. Just as a safety precaution, he did tye her to a chair with some non-irritating bondage so she wouldn't ice him when she awoke.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

"I dont know" Flame said, looking at the floor.
You might want to get there. Soon before Oni decides to kill her. I dont know how, but if you want to get in quietly, I know the acces code. Flame told her the code, but did not tell her about what happened earlier.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

"So both Starbright and Vandal are Oni's prisoners... I am not amused. I don't like Oni. He is an arrogant fool and the main reason I haven't sided with his revolution. The man disgusts me. Someone like him with the power he has...its unfortunate." Chromium said to his two guests. He was about to suggest launching an assault on Oni's base to Haze, however Flame was still there, and with all honesty Chromium wasn't sure if he should say such a thing while he was there.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

"...hnn.." Starbright mumbled as she regained consciousness for the first time in days.

"Good morning Starbright, the sun says hello." Oni sat in a chair right in front of his captive.

"Wha...O-Oni? Where am I? What..what day is it?"

"You're someplace safe, and it's been more or less a week since we ran into eachother."

"Are you going to kill me? My family? Like you said you would?"

"I was thinking about it..."

"No! I won't let you! I'll kill you with my bare hands, you--"

"Shush, shush, let me finish. I was thinking about it...but I've decided against it. See, I'm a...morally gray guy. I'll admit it. But I try not to fall too far into the black. Offing an innocent old lady, her husband, and the granddaughter in their care is...well, blacker than hell at night, to be honest. So, no, I'm not going to kill you, or anyone you know. I'm letting you go, in fact."

"Well...um...thank you... I guess. What do you want in return? I know there's something."

"Simple: I want you to keep quiet. Not a word gets out about this. Or I'll...well, I'll fade to black, if just for a moment."

"...fine. Can I just leave?"

"Sorry, but no. See, your cousin, Haze, is someone I could use in my cause, and she knows your here. When she gets here, you're going to tell her nothing bad has befallen you, and then I'll let you go. Okay?"

Re: RPG-Superhumans

Jericho had left Oni at the base figuring he could take care of himself and went where he always went on thursday. To church. This was the only time Jericho went by his real name, and was completely unarmed. Smith tried to do this more often these days and avoid killing people unless they deserved it. He sat through the service, an just felt better. Afterwards, Smith went back to his car, re-armed himself, started the car, and drove off.

"This IS my signature."

Re: RPG-Superhumans

(awesome signature)

Flame held up his hand, signaling to be quiet. It looks like were out of time, you need to decide. I'm asssuming Oni will try to use Starbright to get you to join him. I need to go now, I hope the next time we meet, it isnt hostile. With that, Flame turned, activated his cloaking device, then leaped from the roof.

Re: RPG-Superhumans

(Why is everyone showing up at my place? Revan, if you read my earlier posts you would know that this cathedral is out of service and no masses are being held there. Also idk how you saw fire because Flame was inside of the rom, with the doors closed, and the fire sword put away.)
