What was life like b4 the inventions of space travel, blasters and sabers? were the people of all these planets as dumb as we were? how long ago was it in the star wars galaxy when the habitants were just like us in the medieval days? Ofcoarse there had to be a time with out all their technology and they all wanderd if they were along in the galaxy. :D

Everyone misspells. Except me :D. Nah, probably most people and stuff in the SW universe were idiots like us, discovering fire, making the wheel, speaking Galactic Basic, etc.
My guess is that many systems were each developing on their own, simliar to us. Slowly. I think it said in KOTOR that hyperspace technology was brought to the galaxy by an out side alien source( ie from out of galaxy). Before this I think that some of the more advace systems had figured out some limited intersystem travel, which would be the equivilant of us from Earth being able to go to the Moon or Mars. After hyperspace the different planetary systems were able to trade and learn from each other so that's when everything would than speed up in development. Similar things happened around the Us when there were many scientists from Europe comming over to work.
