Topic: Sandman vs New Goblin vs Venom

Ok well Spiderman 3 comes out soon and I was wondering who you think would win out of these match ups:

Sandman vs New Goblin
New Goblin vs Venom
Venom vs Sandman

First off, his name is Hob Goblin. Second its Venom to the max in my mind. Venom is by far the greatest Spider-man "villain" of all time. Powers of spidey in a beefed up crazy simbiote suit. Nothing beats venom popping out of nowhere and interrupting spidey in his moment of glory =P

the Hob Goblin was a different goblin btw. Harry Osborne continued as the Green Goblin, but he dies. Norman Osborne comes back (in the comics).

I'm sorry you're right, I was on the wrong trail of thought. My dad used to always make up stories about comics he used to read, and some get stuck in my head =/. Gustavo, notice how New Goblin is in bold and not an actual link, because somebody just came up with it to be filler.

Venom all the way.  Spiderman can't sense Venom because the Venom symbiote is part of Spiderman and what threat are you to yourself?  Venom could have been a bit more stocky.  Otherwise he looks pretty freakin sweet.  Personally I think Sandman is hardly a villian worthy of possibly the last movie.  We need Lizard!!

Plus, Venom once almost killed The Sandman by biting a chunk out of him and swallowing it.  Doing so apparently destabalised his body structure and he collapsed.  He survived though, big suprise.  V has also fought a bunch of Hobgoblin incarnations and done very well.

Well I bought some Spiderman 3 merchandise and they all say his name is New Goblin.

I've heard him called the ""Second Green Goblin" and a few others... but this is embarresing. New Goblin doesn't even sound good. And why change something like that? Not only is it going to upset the crazy comic fans, but now there are going to be people running all around saying "New Goblin" left and right. No reason to do it, no reason at all... /cry for Stan Lee.

Yes I agree but I kinda like the name because it's unique. So what would you have named Harry, Fetter?

Personally I would've named him something foreign, lets say like a foreign word that means "returning" For example, lets say the word retre ( I made it up) means returning in another language. In that case I think it would fit because "the" goblin is "returning". In a sense that's sort of like Jango and Boba: Jango is defeated, but through Boba, "the" Mandalorian bounty hunter returns.

Those fans will burn... definitely should put Shocker or Rhino in place of "New Goblin".

I saw the movie today, and I would say that out of the three, Venom probably would win.

Well, I just saw the movie about an hour ago, and boy was it awesome. But I agree with draco, Venom would most likely be the victor of the three. Harry is human, and Sandman could easily be taken out if you know what can stop sand.
