"Earlier this year I started a wee project to prove to my Mrs that I wasn't insane and that Darth Vader and Boba Fett came to the toyshops in Paisley.
Unfortunately no evidence of Darth Vader's appearance at Variety Stores exists but I hit the jackpot on Boba Fett's visit to Toy Town.
I remember the day well because I had saved up my money and bought the Twin Pod Cloud Car that day and got a free Boba Fett in the white mailer box. I also got the fold out catalogue which was signed by the man himself (unfortunately long gone lol)
This would have happened during the October week break and I know I've seen other people talk about these events but it's mind blowing that this is probably a screen used suit taken from Elstree studios and sent round the country by Palitoy.
Anyway enjoy a wee slice of Paisley history."
