From the Geeki Tikis website:
For the first time ever, SHAG and Beeline Creative have partnered to create an artist series of Star Wars tiki mugs, art prints and drink accessories.
SHAG, the world-renowned mid-century modern artist and Beeline Creative, the creators of the original licensed pop culture tiki mugs known as Geeki Tikis®, have joined forces to bring to life a line of Star Wars drinkware that deftly captures the spirit and whimsy of SHAG's designs. Each mug, print and drink accessory feature vibrant colors atop story-filled scenes portraying classic moments from the movies.
The collaboration focuses on four key movie characters – Yoda, Darth Vader, Chewbacca and Boba Fett. Each character has its own SHAG art print and Geeki Tikis® collectible mug with signature Swizzle Stick. Also available is a signature Aloha shirt featuring art from the full series, as well as a four-pack coaster set with brand new art showcasing each character with their mug.
This is a Limited-Series collaboration. All products, aside from the art prints, will be available exclusively on geekitikis.com. The art prints will be available exclusively on shagstore.com and in the SHAG store in Palm Springs.
*Boba Fett includes a handcrafted 'swizzle antenna' cast in metal with Nickel finish from our friends at Grider Adventure Art. Each swizzle handmade in the USA.
From an interview on StarWars.com with Beeline Creative president Brandon Giraldez:
My favorite mug is Boba Fett. Aside from the extra pop of color on his helmet, we also added a mixed media element, which was a metal swizzle stick. Josh had brought up the idea that it would be really cool to do a removable swizzle for his range finder. We worked with a mutual friend in the "tiki community," Michael Grider of Grider Adventure Art, who handmade the metal swizzle stick that says, "He's no good to me dead." It just complements his character well. For the prints, I think the Chewie/Han and Dagobah prints are my top two. I love them all so much, but I love seeing the vehicles and the nod to Easter Island.
