Topic: Boba Fett's signature

So i as wondering if Boba Fett had to sign a check what would his signature look like ( given Jeremy Bullochs doesn't count). Granted theres no checks in SW but ive given it some thought and a few tries. once im finished with my randition im going to post it but if any one else has ideas post the pictures( or if you can't you can email them to me and i will post them for you).

What you think? Is it Fett-e enough to be Boba?

Well, I don’t know if it's very "Boba Fett like" but it sure looks cool. I wouldn’t find it hard to believe that’s his signature though…

Thats a cool signature but i would tend to think Boba's signature would be neater and more controlled small even.I think a compact tight signature would be more in keeping with his personality,alas i dont have the equipment to try.

note: this is actualy pretty small in size but in order to see it i have to hold it close to my webcam so what about this one? I'm sure in Disney for the SW weekends theres a Boba out there who has a GL ok'd signature.

i think that one is alot better. i like how the letters are closer and has the sharpness to it. seems more like Fett to me.

This seems like a fun little idea....anyways, for some reason I think Fett's handwriting in general would be very boxy, and I agree, kinda small and cramped.  Have NO idea why though....

I wonder if he's a lefty or righty?

Yeah, I agree with the small and boxy now that I think about it. After all, his native language was Mando’a which is a cramped and boxy written language...I think.

i think he is right handed but this is Fett he just may be ampidextrious( spelt wrong probably but can use both hands, you know what i mean)

I couldn't tell how the basic language should be hand-written (you know, those boxy letters that seem to be the "imperial" font) in the GFFA so maybe we could have fun trying to write with that font :p

I don't know, a lot of guys I know write in caps.  I guess I see Fett's signature as not really script, but print.  Ahhhh, I wish I had a scanner so I could show you what I mean....

when you say caps do you mean all same size caps? or liek the B and F in his name huge and the rest caps but smaller?

The 'B' and 'F' slightly larger than the rest of the letters, just to give some separation between them and the rest in caps, but smaller, yeah.

i got to go to work but i'll try a bunch of variations while im on break and post them tonight.

Hmmm...this is something to think about. Im torn between small & boxy and caps.

I think if he had to actually sign something (personall I dont think he would.. no paper trails)  But I honestly think it would be a little sloppier so nobody could forge it.  I have a version that I think looks pretty sweet..  I will try to get it up here asap.  I think you'll like it!

You have a good point. I would think he would want it as unforgable as possible.

Ok here it goes...i dont post often but when i do i try to make it count. I take pride in my indepth knowledge of how Boba would think and act in certain situations. I wont go into my background and how i make a living but just trust me.

Boba would avoid signing anything at all costs, unless of course the contract stated a signature was required. But that would have to involve a seperate payment all together for Boba to even uphold that part of the contract.  Otherwise he would just dismiss it.

Next would be the issue of would he want anyone having or knowing what his signature would look like, dont forget scums in the galaxy could find someway to make some creds of just his signature alone or even pasteing it to everything they can endorse for a few creds. Like toys, books, rigged photos etc etc.

Next if Boba did agree to something as crazy as that considering all the technology in that day and age, more then likely everytime he would sign something it would be different. With Boba's birth records as they are ( if they even do exist ) who could say they dont register or dont match up. In fact who would be stupid enough to say that
     " You arent Boba! This doesnt even look like his signature."       BLAM!!!

would be the response i would anticipate.

So lets say for a second that Boba wouldnt sign different each time...more then likely his signature would be the first letter of his first name and the first letter of his last name. Reason being is he wouldnt spend a lot of time signing something, he would want it short, sweet and to the point. Getting him out of the room and finished with business asap.

Now the decision weither he would sign his name in Basic or Mand'oa would be the good discussion....like what language does he prefer. From what i have seen in the movies and in comics. ( looking at the onboard monitors of his ship ) Looks like he prefers Mand'oa.

I thought Basic was spelt uh. like the stuff that comes on Luke's screen in his X-Wing in Star Wars Empire Strikes Back.

I thought Basic was the language which was essentially english but, the words were different when they are written.

Sounds like English, looks like English, in my opinion. If I were to include a banner or sign with writing on in my Star Wars fanart, I'd write in English. I'd say the same would go for a signature.

Of course, these days, he'd need to learn to write a signature in whatever alphabet the Mandalorians use. As a commander, he might find it a wee bit embarrasing to sign documents with an 'x'...
