I kind of don't really dig these..."what is your favorite..." type of posts buuuut. I was watching SW for the trillionth time last night and I got to thinking about all the characters in the peripheral that have made it to action figure status. And I was wondering why they didn't produce the Tonnika sisters for the 30th anniversary series. And then I started thinking about the droid builder series and then I was thinking about which droid design is my favorite. And so now I am asking you.
What is your favorite droid from all the films tv shows, animated shows etc.
I hope this subject has not been posted before. I searched pretty hard but I did not find this exact topic.
My favorite is CZ-4. The design first showed up on the Jawa sandcrawler in SW but it also made other appearances. I like it because it is a really intricate design, the action figure is great, and the face is a bit creepy.

My favourite is IG-88
He is smart, cool and strong.

For me it has to be R2-D2. He is just so funky.
Though the B1 battle droids are funny.

My favorite droids would date back to the 1950s and 1960s. One is the droid in Forbidden Planet and the one is from Lost In Space (I forgot the names of both of them). As for Star Wars I like R2-D2.
R2-D2 will ALWAYS be Star Wars greatest, bravest and funniest droids.
C-3PO is cool too. :)
I like the "Mouse Droids" in the Death Star, I want one in real life! :D
R2 and HK-47.

HK-47 and Sentinel Droids
i would have to say the IG-88 assassin droid
I also like Mouse and Gonk droids
And I'm not copying from the others. Gonk droids are actually my favourite droid. :)
dark trooper, hands down
Well...Sonny from I, Robot, the movie, was pretty cool.
The droid from TFU was cool. Uhh..not a real droid guy.
--Captain Dynamic--
R2-D2, HK 47, and my own personal Basilisk WarDroid - in no order
id probably have to say the droid in SW episode 6 , the one in jabbas palace thats pleading for it's life befor it gets its feet roasted. I loved its little voice.
Only slightly sadistic. I prefer the likes of IG-88 to ones that plead. Welcome to the boards ZETA 27.
I also like Dark Troopers
again, not copying Regimas.
Magnaguards (IG-100 and IG-101, although I believe there is also an IG-102) are pretty cool.

Echoing a few posts above. The "Gonk" droids are a real close second for me,

yeah, I think they're cute as they go " GONK, GONK, GONK HAS TOO TA MI "
or whatever it said on episode IV :P
;) :P

Another cool droid is the machine woman from the Fritz Lang film "Metropolis" as most of you know C-3P0 is based on this character.

Yeah, Ralph McQuarrie used the robot from Metropolis as inspiration for C-3P0. The film was also referenced for Blade Runner. Fritz Lang was really ahead of his time in so many ways.
Another droid I dig is the "Death Star Droid"

What do you mean? Mouse droids?
http://www.townparkradio.com - Video Game Remix Music
I'll give you three guesses as to who my favorite Droid is :P
-Rampage, Beast Wars
is it HK-47??
Thylacine more commonly know as the Tasmanian Tiger. :D
I'm pretty sure it's either Rampage or Megatron.
Starscream?
I am a Role Playing Gamer, like my father before me.

i would agree i think its soundwave
Well, whoever said HK-47 was right. Also, I saw a Rampage and Soundwave pop up there as well, which is also correct (if we're counting the Transformers too)
-Rampage, Beast Wars

It's no big deal but isn't that three favorites?
Could you maybe rank them?

D'oh! You're right.
For me, they're all #1, but if I HAD to rank them, I guess I'd go for Rampage, HK-47, then Soundwave. In that order.
-Rampage, Beast Wars
WHOOOOOO!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D
Yes I am Gloating but I don't care.
Health droids. Everyone needs one, Theyre just great.
Proxy
For me it is a toss up between R2 D2 and Whistler, Corran Horn's astromech
―Boba Fett

I should be a good little Mando and say the Mandalorian BL series Legionnaire droids, but I'm going to have to go with HK-47 from the Knights of the Old Republic game.
However, if we're including droids from outside the Star Wars universe, then I'm going to have to go with H.E.L.P.eR. from the Venture Brothers cartoon.

R2D2 of course. Then I would say IG-88
I like the foursquare widget. It gives you a view of where all of your friends are or have been. Pretty cool app/widget.Another cool droid is the machine woman from the Fritz Lang "Metropolis" as most of you know C-3P0 is based on this character.
R2 and 3PO, HK-47, and those Gonk droids.
Yes... and those gonk droids...
R2-D2 ROX!!! C3P0 reminds me too much of someone i hated a lot so not 3P0... IG-88 is cool too. Oh and Proxy! I forgot Proxy.
Yeah, C3PO is very pompous even if he is a protocol droid. I wonder if he chooses that behavior of he's just programmed that way.
Proxy was pretty amazing, but that isn't considered canon anymore.
I like how BB-8 kinda represents the younger new generation, if anyones ever noticed.
But at the moment, I would have to give it to K2-SO for sure.
