Hello! I'm new here and I thought I'd show some of my drawings... they're more or less related to the Fetts
I'll just post chronologically so you can just enjoy and maybe tell me what you think :)

I'm trying to teach myself more methods and stuff, because I still have trouble drawing human heads and facial expressions :P

Right now I'm giving much thought into my next artwork project: a Mandalorian woman ;)

I draw with regular pencils on paper, then the line work is done with pigment ink markers, I scan and add some digital rendering (Paint Shop Pro)...
Last night I started (very) rough drafts of some mando art, thought I'd post them here as "progress report" :P
A cute Mando girl... 
"Mr and Mrs Mando" but I guess some background story/fan fiction would be cool for this one :)

Star Wars only (for now) as it's the only thing I really know about.... I was never into comic books so I missed on all of the "superheros" and such :P

I have... but the commando armor is different from the others, I need to do some research. Maybe I will get more inspiration from Triple Zero and would try to illustrate certain scenes (without giving out too much about the story!), because now I need more than just characters to start drawing...
The pictures are great. I can imagine a past for your female Mandalorian. I can see her being involved in a crash landing in which her squad are killed. From the debris she finds her helmet and in its reflexion she sees that the crash was no accident as an escape pod lands behind her that's been ejected from her ship. Hmm, perhaps I should run with this... :D

That sounds interesting! ...but making female characters just for the sake of showing them wouldn't be very cool. I'm no feminist or anything (although I do tend to strongly take a stand when there is unfairness) but to see them just hanging around to make the male hero seem charismatic, that's not cool... When I made that portrait of the Mando girl I was imagining a woman thinking about her heritage, right after a battle, and how she got her armor from her father/adopter. When the adrenaline wears down you kinda feel lost, so she stares at the T-shaped visor and reminds herself of what she's fighting for.....
Anyway, I'm curious to see how your fan comic turns out, can't wait! :)

Oh no, it's not like that at all. If anything the female mandos are main characters and have their own stories. The fan comic is actually a collection of short stories showcasing each of the mandos.

Well, TZ is about clones... But it also features one POV character who is Mandalorian, Kal Skirata. Also, most of the clones in the book ARE Manadalorian. TZ is chock full of Mand'oa (language of the Mandalorians). TZ is an awesome book, and I'd recommend reading it!! :) :)
Oh, and Daenna, I LOVE YOUR DRAWINGS!!!!! If only I could draw like that.... *sigh*

Yeah, I wish I could call him Kal'buir too :P And personally I thought Wallon Vau was really cool in his own way. So that drawing I did could be of Skirata and Vau, together on a hunt.... heheh
TZ definitly inspired me into making Mando art, because it brings the Mandalorian culture to life....

Haha... Maybe we should talk about this in the TZ special thread (http://bobafett.com/boards/viewtopic.php?id=180). It might seem confusing from what people say about the novel, but you should reeeally check out the Republic Commando novels by Karen Traviss, first one being Hard Contact, which is required to read before you get Triple Zero.
OR you can check out the guide to the GAR in the Insider magazine and I don't remember which issue it's in.

the commando's where trained by former mandalorians, who taught them about their heritage, past and language.
In the real world tho, this was just to give the clones more of a background

Oh, thanks, both of you. :) The only clonish books I've read are the Medstars and Shatterpoint, so I'm a bit clueless about them, sorry.
And I like the new pic! It's a good example of the layers of Coruscant.

I was cruising my favorate Mando spots on the web and I decided to see some fan art. I hit this page and am checking out your stuff, which is awesome if I may say so, and what do I see. A couple of Mando'ade about to make some poor soul's day take a turn for the worse with a verp sniper rifle ala Walon Vau in Triple Zero. I was like no way thats awesome, maily because I designed the verp with Karen Traviss and am the guy who made her the life sized model. I recognized it right away and it was awesome to see it in your illustration. Thank you for making my day burc'ya!
