Well.... with the internet you can send an e-mail to basically anyone. Just visit her official website if you really need to ask her something....
I've used Photoshop for digital coloring before, but I admit that I like Paint Shop Pro better. I never really used it before using ink pens because they make it easier to select an area and just fill the blanks between the lines. Besides, drawing "comic art" forces you to give your characters a clean finish, and while doing that you can decide how you're going to color it.

Cool! I just might do that...
Hmmm Paint Shop Pro---I'm going to have to remember that name too! I see comic art as a more "simplified" (or as you put it--clean) version of drawings, but I find it hard to do. I get too much into details. It's hard for me to back off sometimes. One of my teachers told me that too--I got into details too much on a few assingnments when they were supposed to be basic line drawings.
I would have loved to been able to make it to the last Star Wars weekend! Getting a chance to meet Jeremy and Temeura---wow! I had told people that if I could have made it, I would have loved for them to autograph my drawing, Rise of the Mandalorians, as it has both Jango and Boba. Total one-of-a-kind keepsake there!

These pics are for you. I hope they give you a better referrance for the next time you draw another awesome Mando with a Verp. One of your earlier darwing inspired this buy'ce design I did for a friend. I really liked how you used clan markings. Hope you get a kick out of it. Ill keep and eye out for more of your stuff. Oya'manda vod'ika!

Here's another pic:

I actually moved his front leg a bit--I need to get another pic up at my photobucket...I did not use reference photos for this one in particular, I kinda did a few things differently, so I know proportions might be a little off, but it is the first time I'm drawing this much of a figure. I have yet to do a full-figure drawing.
Ori'jate, Mando sniper--great pics! And that helmet--wow! Reminds me of tiger markings.
There are enough words to communicate plenty. I was a beta tester for it and Ive writen Op orders, fragos, complex troop commands. It works. Is everyone going to learn it, no. But it is fun, and its even more fun to curse in.
Vor'e ner jate vode.
Thankyou my best comrade (brother or sister). Is that right? And yes, it is very fun to cuss in Mando'a.
Sadriel Fett: It was more of the cryptology aspect of it that drew me in. I love stuff like that. I'm learning Spanish, I know a little Japanesse (Kara taught me a couple of phrases, not enough to hold a conversation, though) and my dad (yes, Sarge Stiff) slips in German when we talk.
I love your guys' drawings! I've said it before and I'll say it again, they rock!
It seems that Atinvod speaks for me....
Thanks for the drawing compliments! :)
I'm late, but...good job, Dae. I like drawing...too. ._.
I'm looking--I think I did start a new clone trooper pic...and one of Ailyn Vel, but she needs work, I know. They are both not finished yet. I'm getting better with eyes and a bit better with proportions, but mouths are still tricky.

Yeah, I'm planning on cosplaying as Ailyn when I get the chance so people totally need to do more pics of her. XD
Those are nice pieces :)
I dont like Aylin Vel too much, but I got something new here...
A possible Jedi-Mandalorian alliance concept work thingie
Sorry for not being on the boards too much lately.... Real life, ya know :P But I made some art that I just posted in my blog and in my portfolio. You can check them if you like and send an e-mail for comments. But I'd like to focus more on StarWars related things for now. I've been playing KOTOR1 like crazy and it's taking me time hehe.....
By the way, no requests please.
Daenna!! YOUR BACK!!!!
YAY!!!!!

That picture actually gave me a great idea. You see how on the Jedi you have the trim on the bottom of his tabbards? Well, it looks like it's sewn together there, the two of them. That'd look better and be cooler than having two seperate peices that just hang there and hope they stay. Instead you'd put them on over your head, and it would help you align them evenly. Thanks!

Cool, that would actually work :D
I'm working it all in Photoshop right now, hopefully it will be done by this weekend!
You've got alot of talent ... keep up the good work!

:o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o O SNAP!!! that looks so GOOD! right on Daenna!
DANG RIGHT!! You should be an artist Daenna, seriously all that great talent is probably going to waste. I know!!! You could make animation for the Mandalorian wars!!! ya know, like the clone wars, but in the Mandalorian wars!! :D :D :D

Haha, thanks :) I've thought about cartooning and everything.... I'm sure I'll want to do something of that sort in the future. Just right now I want to explore everything concerning 2D digital arts, and maybe take a few courses to earn a living... But I dont have a precise goal for the moment. Just doing stuff along my inspirations and trying to improve my skills as I go. Which is a hassle sometimes :P
This Photoshop-ing is taking sooo much time at the moment. I'm done rendering the space backdrop (which is awesome :P) and now I'm about to color Mr. Mando :)
*chokes on drink*
Daenna, your pic is SO AWESOME! I love the whole Mando/Jedi ally thing. Kudos!!
-----Rodney McKay
OH!! Wow!! I really like the details on the Mando's saber as well! That is an amazing picture---I really like how you made the Mandalorian armor and the Jedi tunic/robe outfit your own--you made them quite unique, yet they are still VERY identifiable!
I also enjoy seeing your in-process pictures as it gives us a peak into the whole process. I like seeing exactly how your coloring is achieved through Photoshop.
I posted an answer to the last pic you're working on but I guess it didn't go through. Anyways, I just wanted to say that I'm glad that you at least know how to use photohop, I suck at it, badly. :p
I also didn't realize that you digi-ink your work. Incidentally, I just love the umpteen active thumbs on the taskbar, busy busy Daenna, :lol
Can't wait to see the finished pic.
Thanks for all the kind words... but now for the real deal: I'm offering you guys FIRST to see the finished work! (not that you had to wait that long actually ;) )

*gasp* OMG YOUR ART IS BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE IT! *sigh* i wish i could draw like that. i do a little art, but its no where near that. I draw my female Mando character, Cahira Stargazer.

Cool. Can I see it? :)
Yeah. As soon as i find a scanner...i dont have one. I'll give ya a preview for now. Her armor is gunmetal gray with a dark blue trim, and she has twin Westar-34 blasters in a matching color.
Deana--WOW! I love the background too! I'm nuts about space scapes and I love how the planet and the stars turned out. It looks like the Jedi and the Mando are standing on the edge of a battlefield with debris flying through the air. Your picture turned out great!
Mandalore Stargazer--I'd like to see that femme Mando too when you get a way to show her off :)
I really need to get back to my Mando too--he's been left sitting uncolored on my page too long--he might get tired of waiting LOL
K, im working on findin a workin scanner, hopefully within the week. Can barely tell she's a femme except for her red braided hair sticking out of her helmet. Working on a non-helmet pic now. Here's some more details till then...her helmet has jaig eyes, has wampa scalps hanging from her shoulder, and over her right eye she has a scar.
Ahhh I gotta get a femme Mando drawn too!
Your gal sounds pretty cool! I play a female Mando in an rpg, and she has red hair too! lol

That must be fun :) Call me old-fashioned, but in all the fan-fics I've written I've never used Mandalorians as main characters, they were always Jedi or scoundrels of some sort... Which reminds me I need to finish writing my current one :P
Anyway:
I don't know what you guys think of this one, but I only just finished playing KOTOR and I'm still kinda obsessed with the dude...
