Hi I'm Orthar, new to these boards but not new to Fett and all things related. Been a fan since I saw the films waaaay back when they were new. Been a trooping member of the Knights Of The Empire for a few years now and am the founder of www.kotemandos.com KOTE's Mandalorian Squad. Hope to get to know you all well.
On with showing off my costume:

Helmets or the entire armour? I make armour and blasters for those that want them. All the parts are available from several places, although ebay is not the best place to go if you want a decent set. You then get the parts and paint them or get someone else to paint them for you.
My whole costume has probably set me back about £700-£800.
Thanks for the comments guys.
Cool, so you provide the correct parts of the costume in the right shape, and then wait for the money then paint them?
The way it normally works is you purchase your part or parts from someone, you can then paint it yourself, ask them to paint it for you (if they offer that extra service) or ship it out to a third party to paint. Alternatively you give it a go making some of the parts yourself, which can be quite rewarding. If you do go down this path then sites like www.kotemandos.com, www.thedentedhelmet.com and mercs.firespray.net all have templates you can use and advice to offer.
Cool......so do you make Fett Costume Parts and ship them out all over? :O ( quite interested )
Yes I do. Where abouts in the world are you?
lol, take a guess........ :D
Welcome, hope you enjoy the BFFC. Great costume by the way.
Welcome and enjoy! LOVE THE COSTUME... I'm sure you'll fit in just fine....
"Suggestion: Electrocution works well. Evisceration and Decapitation are also effective, or um, so I've heard."

Thanks for the comments guys, it's a pleasure to be here. Anyone wanting help and advice on making Mando armour, I'm happy to assist.
Lord Revan, glad to have you aboard. The clan sigil is for Clan Rrith and is worn by two other squad members on their armour.
where'd you get all the costume parts, Orthar, apart from making them? :O
The flightsuit, helmet and pouches came from a guy called Bobamaker. I'll pm you his web addy if you want as it's not normal for people to post details of web addresses on boards (not sure how the admins feel about that here) The helmet set me back £130 unpainted (I paint all my props weither I make them or not) the flightsuit £75. It's expensive but the best out there in my opinion.
the helmet £130?????? that's so scandal. The flightsuit ( armour ) i would understand, also thats my brother for my avatar, lol :D
The helmet is fibreglass and 100% accurate to the screen used Boba Fett helmets. A badly distorted undersized Rubies Boba helmet with a rubbish 3 quarter visor would set you back £45 or more. The flightsuit is just the flightsuit NOT the armour, although it is possible to acquire or make one cheaper yourself. What you are paying for is accuracy. As I said my costume has set me back around £700 so trust me when I say "accurate" costuming is not cheap. Yes it is possible to pay a great deal less but then correspondingly your costume will not look as good. It all depends upon what you want the costume for - trooping or halloween for example and how much you are willing to pay to get it done to the standard that you want.
I only get £5 pocket money a week. I have no future with a full Boba Fett costume........ :(
P.S - what is the flightsuit then? :O

The flightsuit is the one-piece overalls worn under the flack vest and armour plates. In Mando'a it's called kute (pronounced koo-Tay) which means something worn under armour.
nice costume. beats the living crap out of any i could make.
blows my costume away mine was all scratch built..I beleive its funner makin it all out of cardboard and then paper macheing it with 6 layers...great costume man totally awesome! How old u have to be to join the group?
In order to troop with us you have to be 18 years or older, this is to be covered by KOTE's public liability insurance. Younger people wishing to learn how to make a Mandalorian costume with a view to trooping when they are old enough are free to join KOTE Mando's.
Awesome costume dude.
