After browsing the internet I came across this press release.

What do we think? Is it the MMO or the 3rd installment in everyone's beloved series?
Personally I want it to be KotOR 3. I am looking forward to Knights of the Old Republic 3, so I hope that's what it is.
Topic: KotOR 3 or KotOR MMO?

Sorted by oldest to newestI hope its K3 an MMO would just be dumb.
i agree i think that an mmo would be stupid we already have SW Galaxies and i really want to see what they do when the jedi exile meets revan.
KotOR 3, as theres already a MMORPG,

*And the crowd goes wild!*
KOTOR 3!!! KOTOR 3!!! KOTOR 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SWEET! This is what I've been waiting for!
And since Bioware isn't exlusive to microsoft anymore perhaps we could get it on WII? I would like that.
"Suggestion: Electrocution works well. Evisceration and Decapitation are also effective, or um, so I've heard."
Fingers crossed it's KotOR 3 :D
It was like thousands of voices cried out for a sequel and were suddenly silenced...
I hope it is Knights of the old republic 3 :)
Though I am hoping that the next time they do an online Star Wars they make a better job as when Star Wars Galaxies started it was good but they made some wrong decisions and it is not very good at all now (I was really not happy when they destroyed one of my favourite cities :( )

i read on another site (can't find link right now) that KotOR 3 would be an MMO.
aww really? I kinda hope not just because I don't have the space to play on a computer long enough for a game like that.

mabey they should let out a sepperate program thingy with it, that contains an MMO

I'm not a programmer or anything so I don't know, could they do that?

Well if its a different game.............I mean like, they give you a box, it has two versions in it or something, or you could just play alone or online, like Xbox Live.

That would make sense.

Expecialy if it was on Xbox :D

Xbox is over rated. Sorry if I sound annoyed but as soon as the Xbox came out us PC gamers have taken it in the rump from Microsoft. All the games are now coming out for Xbox and not being releast for PC for about a year or ever...lame.
But I can't give my input because I haven't played KOTOR. You- *GASP!* "He hasn't played KOTOR??!!" No I have not. But I might get the "Assume Edition" With all three. (When it comes out).
See guys the Xbox isn't the be all or end all :P
It was like thousands of voices cried out for a sequel and were suddenly silenced...
But it may be close. (joking) I hope its more than just xbox because I don't really want to have to get a 360 right now. I think it just costs too much with not enough pay back.

scroll down all the way to the bottom.
Yeah i would hope its not an MMO. I don't think I like them. But what this article leads me to believe that it could be anything or nothing at all. Nothing is certain.

Hey a Star Wars FPS wouldn't be bad. I loved Jedi Outcast. It was a great game. But KotOR 3 is the top on my list of things I want to happen.
And for now I anxiously await The Force Unleashed.
Sorry guys, but I have some news that it seems most of you will not take well. I have been following the development of this game since the day they announced that Bioware was combining forces with Lucas Arts once again. Around the time this announcement was made, Bioware put up an ad for MMO game designers, and bought a bunch of the lead designers in the field to start up a spot in Texas. (Bioware is Canadian based for those of you who didn't know.) It has been pretty much a 95% consenses by all manner of internet moguls, gaming magazines, game enthusiasts, and... well everyone that this is going to be an MMO. Most likely based on the Star Wars universe.
Many of you are saying, "But they already have Galaxies!" That would be true if Galaxies wasn't one of the least profiting MMORPGs on the market. Lucas Arts blew it by going with SOE (Sony online Entertainment) and now they are planning to rectify that mistake. There is also a rumor going around that Lucas Arts is going to cut funding to Galaxies soon if they do not reach a player base that is far beyond possible for the dying game.
But fear not KOTOR fans because there is no way they could let a multi-million dollar cash cow like KOTOR die after 2 games while the fan base is still so high. So my best guess is that since they are starting a new company in Texas to deal with the "secret" MMO, the Canadian base will probably be hard at work on another project.
Wow that was long...
Hail to the King Baby!!
That's what the article Fett_II posted said. Bioware which is now a part of EA is working on a MMO. But Obsidian is making (hopefully) the third installment.
Fetterthanyou, I'll take you're word on it. I think you are an insider or have insider connections, especially since you know so much. (Or act with strong conviction as if you were an insider or highly connected). Either way you sound right. I never understood Galaxies anyway... so I wouldn't mind if they tried the MMO thing again. I like the idea, just maybe with out KOTOR 3 getting involved. I still say they should be seperate. But that I just my feeling on the matter.
