In my opinion they are pretty much equal. Carth belly-aches a little too much but his gun slinging abilities make up for it.
Hmm Carth could perhaps talk Canderous to death, if Canderous was out of ammo :P

Canderous all the way. Of the two, he is the hardend warrior - Carth may have been a soldier, but his primary abilities were as a pilot and officer.
