The blaster is a limited edition of 1,500. In case you missed the details, see our April 6, 2006 report. Our own Blaster4Hire also started a thread on this earlier, here.

On the MasterReplicas.com site right now, it's reporting this at $45... clearly this is incorrect -- someone call them on it -- as the list price is $579.

If you're considering a purchase -- and I assume most younger collectors will pass -- BFFC is in the Master Replicas affiliate program.

I emailed them earlier about that, too.  The $45 version is a 1:6 scaled down version of the rifle.  Something a little more affordable, I guess, but a lot smaller.

Right on.  Glad you said something.  Is there a link from our site to get to theirs, so it'll show it's from our site, or can I just use the link you already provided above?  Do we get any money for the club by linking to it from our site?

Also, I was poking around their site.  I saw what you were talking about with the scaled replica.  They have the full sized blaster under the "Limited Editions" section.  I'm still waiting for them to come out with their full sized Boba Fett helmet that they previewed a while back.  Any idea on when it's supposed to come out?

Ahh. Thanks for checking. All figured out now, the $45 vs. $579.

With all BFFC-arranged links, if you're ready to shop and make a purchase, the company gives an additional percentage as a referral fee to BFFC with specific links. As explained in the "About BFFC" section, it's all re-invested into the site, as should be the case with all Star Wars fan sites.

Yeah cause I got an email about the blaster from the Master Replicas site and it said 45 dollars too and I was like, ".....no, really? I'll deffinately get one at that price." So thanks for clearing that up.

Nearly 600 dollars is a bit much for me though, so I'll be passing on that, though I would like to get it. Oh, well.

I just watched the video on MR for the Force FX Lighsabers and it was AWESOME, i think the link is on the website.
