It's believed the photos were taken by Roy Frankenfield, with the flame and space illustration effect added later.
One of the shots was used first for the 1979 Toy Fair Boba Fett carded sample and then later the regular "Empire" Boba Fett release.

Steve SansweetHappy Birthday Steve Sansweet!
Steve, the world's largest #StarWars collector and head of fan relations for Lucasfilm, is the proud owner of these original L-slot and J-slot prototype #BobaFett action figures.
According to Chris Georgoulias of TheSWCA.com, there are approximately 65 L-slots and 15 J-slots out there, which can fetch upwards of $20,000 each.

View on InstagramOn this day in 1978, over two years before "Empire," this prelim art was made for Kenner's #BobaFett figure. Note how he appears in prototype form as the all-white supertrooper. This work is based on Joe Johnston's sketches, dated one to two months earlier.

The show's executive producer, Michael Price, tells the #BobaFettFanClub that, although Jango appears in the trailer, "Boba plays a big part in the later episodes." We can't wait!
While no exact release date is available, the mini series is advertised as beginning in July on Disney XD.

Norman Reynolds#ThrowbackThursday: "Supertrooper" diagram drawn by #StarWars art director Norman Reynolds in May 1978.
This was included in the 2013 book "Star Wars: The Blueprints," but shown at #SWCA in a much larger (but still illegible) projection regarding the newer book, "Star Wars: Costumes," which came out last year.
