ARTIST'S INSPIRATION

You probably won't be too impressed by what inspired me for most of those pictures, as usually it's just a case of using a new model. I usually like to give credit to the model makers at SciFi-3d where the Slave 1 and Han Solo came from and of course SWMA from where Boba Fett was downloaded.

For 'Wet Street' the biggest thing to inspire me was all the information about Episode 2 currently doing the rounds. I thought that I would like to attempt the seedier part of Coruscant and the reason it's in the rain? Because of the rumoured lightsabre battle which is said to take part in the rain - Sometimes these things are obscure!!

The wallpaper 'Easy Money' came out of the picture. During one of the rare moments when my scanner was working I scanned a lot of intersting SW pictures of which this was one, I was experimenting with old plaster textures in Photoshop at the time, so I combined the two, added the Fett logo and a little smoke from the gun.

'Ready for delivery' was my first use of the Solo in Carbonite model from SCiFi3d after I had textured it for Bryce, I added Fett in the foreground and was going to add Slave 1 to the background, but after i started to add lights to the scene I felt the picture would be more dynamic if I surrounded it in steam with it's main focal point being Han Solo together with Fett.

As for 'Slave 1 docked', this arose from seeing an old painting of a steam engine, I liked the way the lights above it led into the distance and caught the smoky atmosphere.

And 'Bad news for someone'. This was created after I had spent a period of three or so weeks adding the textures to the model in Bryce, You see Bryce makes it notoriously difficult to add textures to a model and doesn't import models with the textures intact. Anyway I felt the Slave one should have an ominous looking sky behind it and dynamic lighting to signify a little menace.
