Topic: Would people be interested in starting Clans, like a Mando'a culture?

I think it would be kinda cool to have Clans, where members can join up and sorta rep with their peeps, y'know.

If you're down, lemme know.

Maybe we could come up with some friendly Clan competition based activities in the forums.

my clan would be "te Werda Verda" ( "The Shadow Warriors") and I proclaim myself, "Ni Adenn Kad te Werda Verda" ("I, Merciless Sword, the Shadow Warriors.")

If you wanna join my clan, proclaim "Ni (aspect of yourself, ie. Atin Sheb 'Stubborn Backside...LOL' ) te Werda Verda". If you don't know Mandalorian, maybe I could translate it for you.

I dunno, I was kinda bored and I thought it'd be a cool idea.

I think its an alright idea, but I doubt many other people will agree with me...

Re: Would people be interested in starting Clans, like a Mando'a culture?

It's a cool prospect.  Even so, I think there are a few members who would have trouble understanding all of the Mando'a, and have trouble keeping in with the clans and new developments.  I'd do it though, if others joined.  ((I'm a follower, not a leader))

Due to maintenance problems, the light at the end of the tunnel will not be in operation today.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

I'm rubbish with any language, otherwise I'd consider.

As Bruce Willis said in the Fifth Element. "I speak two languages, English and bad English." tongue

Bruce Willis is cool. And I consider Mando'a ordered gibberish, as I can read like five words.

Don't worry, we'll help you out. Or you can start up your own clan that's not as Mando'a intensive. Although I don't think fluency will be a major requirement, just for ppl who want to learn.

I'm a huge Mando fan so I'm immersing myself completely as I can (book of Mando'a I compiled at my side as a reference of course, I'm not entirely fluent myself.)

Hey, for people like me who can't speak Mando'a, here is a site to teach you how to!  That's where I got my title, "Beroya" from.  Beroya means Bounty Hunter.  So here's the site!   http://mando.hellfireclub.net/dictionary.html

Wow, REALLY good translation there BHK.  I still need a good one like that that translates from English into Mando; is that somewhere on that site too?

I do, if that's ok with you, Ralin. What will my new Signature be?

You've been holding out on us again haven't you? Since you haven't given us enough money, I'll guess I'll have to take it out of you piece by piece! - Unknown Mandalorian.

Re: Would people be interested in starting Clans, like a Mando'a culture?

I was thinking of making the first few members into Clan Drakus (maybe the fisrt 5, if I ever get that many) into my Ver'alors' (lieutenants).

Don't think this is a small rank, I'm using the more ancient ranking system:  King (Mandalore), Captains (Clan leader's: me), Lieutenants (you, if you want the rank), sergents (like Kaiza, unless he want's to upgrade to lieutenant) and then the grunts

So for you Green, I'd say Aliit Drakus Ver'alor (then a StarWars name if you like:  i.e. Aliit Drakus Ver'alor Joe or Ben  tongue )

Also open to custom titles if you want something a little more original; we're here for fun, not for holding a cirtain rank   big_smile

What do you think, Green?
