I think it might be a bot or something testing the waters.  It has a Russian email address, so we're watching it, just in case.

After all the new material however: The new trilogy *which explains Boba's true origains,* Karen Travis *who never mentions the existence of the city of Bone*, and now this damn kiddy show, I wonder if any stock is left in that comic.

I've always loved the idea of the City of Bone, if not quite in the same visual look as was portrayed in the comic.  But it just doesn't seem to exist any more in current writing/canon.  And with KT's work in jepordy, can we even say with any certainty that Fenn or Tobi even exist any more?

who knows anymore......  *sigh*

Actually, she does mention the existence of the City of Bone in the Imperial Commando book and the Imperial Garrison that was being located inside of it.

Another little Lego novelty that's not too overpriced.  A new Boba Fett lego watch available for pre-order.

Looks like they're supposed to be out sometime this April.

I know it's not the New York Toy Fair, but Boba is the man of the hour in the latest Toyfare Magazine this month.  The wife picked mine up the other day from the comic book store and needless to say I was pretty thrilled.

A lot of pics from the recent New York Toy Fair and a short article about the new rocket firing Fett fig coming out this year.

They have promised to retcon all this and work it out so both stories fit the canon.

They wouldn't have had to retcon anything if they had used their heads or even read the Star Wars Insider article "History of the Mandalorians" that retconned all the stuff that was out up to that point so it fit into continuity.  So, where did you hear that they were going to retcon all this?

At least they'll end the series instead of leaving us hanging.

it upsets me that KT wont be finishing it out, just because i feel its her characters and she should be able to end it.... but as long as its good and it ends well i'll be happy

Well, they haven't released the name of the author yet because they're still working out the contract, so I'm still hoping it will be Traviss.  There was scuttlebutt that the author is trying to work at getting two Star Wars books in their contract and since KT had originally been slated to do a Post-Legacy Boba Fett book, I'm hoping it's for that one.

I really enjoyed playing them both, but of the two, I'd have to say I like Republic Commando a little better.  I still pop that in the old Xbox, now and again, and play it.  I had to take a break in the middle of playing Bounty Hunter because it got a little too monotonous about halfway through.  Although I'd love it if they came out with a sequel to both games.  An Imperial Commando game and a Bounty Hunter 2: Boba Fett game would be awesome.

Where? I couldn't find them.

They were in the link Miba had with all the Galactic Heroes figs.  There were a couple of the Delta Squad boys on there.  That can only mean the other two are on their way....I hope.

Oh, by the way.  I never played the PS2 version of The Force Unleashed, but in he PS2 version you get to fight a Mandalorian and his Basilisk War Droid when you're on Cloud City.  I was wondering if this is A figure of that guy you fight?  Don't know who it is, but they're in Mandalorian armor.

I think I saw some Republic Commandos in that mix.  It's about time.

Remember the Darth Vader helmet project a few years ago, to help raise donations for charity?  Well, this year it looks like the 501st is doing one with a Stormtrooper helmet theme for Star Wars Celebration 5 and giving them out to some fairly famous Star Wars folks to paint up.

I'd seen some of the helmets already painted and sent back, but this was the one I was waiting to see.  They gave one to Jeremy Bulloch to paint and it finally came back.

Pretty cool.

Check out the artists list on the right column.  Can't wait to see what Daniel Logan's helmet will look like.

The Jaguar and Titan Maximum helmets are pretty neat, too.

This is pretty much my thought on what they're turning the Mandalorians into.

In the words of Eric Cartman...."It's all a bunch of tree hugging hippie crap."

I think that pretty much sums it up.

Peace out, ner vod.......

I should be a good little Mando and say the Mandalorian BL series Legionnaire droids, but I'm going to have to go with HK-47 from the Knights of the Old Republic game.

However, if we're including droids from outside the Star Wars universe, then I'm going to have to go with H.E.L.P.eR. from the Venture Brothers cartoon.

I thought we already had a thread for this, too.  Was it on the old boards, maybe?  I know usually we just mention if we're in the military on some of the threads.  Oh well.

We do have quite a few of us in the military, though, Je'karta.  Some also in militaries other than the U.S. Armed Forces.  I'm actually in the Air Force and used to work on the Peacekeeper and the Minuteman 3 ICBM's.  I got sick of being in Wyoming the whole time (not a lot of places to go in ICBM maintenance) and cross-trained into Air Force Weather.  Currently stationed in Louisiana, working at the Weather HUB center here, doing Regional Manager duties for the southeast United States (pretty much all the old Confederate States are in our Area of Operation, with the exception of Virginia....they're assigned to the Weather HUB boys stationed out in St. Louis).  Currently on my way to Korea in a couple months for a 12-month long tour over there.  Should be different.

One of my best friends was in the 82nd, then cross-trained into E.O.D. (bad back from jumping out of planes all the time) and he was over in Afghanistan for a while.  He came back with some interesting stories.  Keep your head down while you're over there, dude.  And good luck, ner vod.

Same as with this one.

Please check to make sure your threads belong in that specific Forum.  Thanks.

Moving this to the Fans forum.

A quick little episode commentary about the episode with some background easter eggs.

Looks like maybe it's supposed to be Mandalore from the Knights of the Old Republic comic book series.

Couldn't find anything about the actual rarity of the Palitoy version of the Boba Fett figure.  Looks like it was released mainly in England, though.  I'm sure it's more rare in the states, than overseas.  I did find this really neat site that lists pretty much all the Fett figures released from that era.

The list is pretty thorough and they have some very nice pics (something for the bounty page?).  There's several different Palitoy variations of the card, mainly on the back.  There's also a "non-painted" leg tools variant of the Palitoy Boba Fett figures that sell for pretty steep on eBay and eBay.UK.

While doing a search around for it, I found an article that seemed like it might be helpful, but the link no longer exists or the source webpage.  It's the first one on the search list.

Oh, I did, however, find this neat little Palitoys advert...

Hope this helps out somewhat.

Looks like there's a new Boba Fett Artist Portfolio signed by Joe Johnston, one of the original designers of the Boba Fett costume.  Right now it's available for pre-order at a few websites, most notably the Star Wars Shop site.

http://shop.starwars.com/catalog/produc … id=1318482

Unfortunately, it looks like it's priced really high for most collector's, coming in at a meager $495.00

However, for those that can afford it, this looks like it's a nice little item.  It's signed by Joe Johnston himself and comes with eleven 12x17 images.  It comes in a holographic textured portfolio with a brushed metal titanium alloy Mandalorian symbol on the front.

Actually got version 3.0.11, so maybe that's what it is.  I'll have to update it tomorrow and see if that fixes it.  No biggie.

(26 replies, posted in Dialogue)

Still not working for me.  What version do you have, Miba?

(26 replies, posted in Dialogue)

I haven't been able to get it to work on Firefox.  It just comes up as a big white screen.  Although, it works fine on IE.

Those mandalorians are also from the death watch.

Kal Skirata, Walon Vau, Rav Bralor were definitely not Death Watch.  They were very anti-Death Watch.

I like that they actually had Mandalorian font in the background screen when Viszla was talking with Dooku.

Also, when the one Death Watch, who jumped from the balcony, was dying, they actually had him speaking in Mando'a.  He even uses the phrase "Darasuum Kote," which is Mando'a for "Eternal Glory," made popular in the song from the Republic Commando games.

Also, a "Duchess of Mandalore?"  Really?  Are you serious?

I know they're saying the planet isn't Mandalore and that it's actually a planet in the Mandalore system called Kalevala, but that is never referenced in the episode at all.  But, Concordia actually is supposed to be a moon of the planet Mandalore, so which is it, Mandalore or Kalevala?

So, was the moon's name that the Death Watch was based on, "Concordia," supposed to be an homage to Concord Dawn?  Jango Fett's homeworld and also located in the Mandalore system

And where were the rangefinders on the Mandalorian helmets?  It's not like they couldn't draw them on there.  Captain Rex's rangefinder is based off of Mandalorian helmet designs.  Oh well.

Tonight's the big night.  Of course I have to work, so I'll have to watch it on Tivo later on.  Anyway, some more new videos for you to check out from the Star Wars site on the Mandalorian's tonight.  I think I see some of our Mando Mercs friends in the video there.

Jon Favreau on voicing Pre Viszla.

I like the black lightsaber.  Reminds me of the custom lightsaber you can get in the Force Unleashed games.
