Haven't done one of these in a while.

The Rules:

1. You may create any character you want. But please have some variety and clarify their name and species so others can follow their actions easily.

1.5: No all powerful characters, be fair to other players.

2. You can kill characters you create but you can't kill other people's characters unless they say they have been killed in battle with you. However you can wound them...

3. You can have any weapon you want but you can only have what your character could physically carry - otherwise they wouldn't be able to move.

4. Be consistent, eg if someone says they blew up a building, don't suddenly be assaulting it.

5. If you have sustained many wounds you will have to either get medical help or eventually die.

6. Follow the storyline, sure add a few twists and turns but allow others to see where you want to go so they can help you get there.

7. Have fun.

In the wake of a fallen Sith lord a power vacuum has developed. Fortunately this struggle is fought on a microscale. Unfortunately, said microscale is one lost populated solar system sitting on the knife's edge of the outer rim. Its star, Joris is slowly peaking, soon these worlds will be unihabitable.
Woven together in the miriad of deception and revenge are those remaining. Jedi, Sith, and the like. Neutral entities bought and coerced to fight in this fueled conflcit. Should a Sith lord rise to power once more, the galaxy will be pulled down into a deep darkness.
Take your side. Defend or Conquer. Get paid. Strive for the common good.

Allegiance(for non-Jedi/Sith):
Lightsaber model and color (if a Jedi or Sith):
Clothing and armor:
Short character description:
Misc. Info:

I'll have a character for myself in my next post hopefully.

Currently Playing: Okami (Wii)

Waiting for:
Force Unleashed
Bleach: Dark Souls (DS)
Rygar: The Battle of Argus (Wii)
Sonic Unleashed (Wii)
Sonic and the Black Knight (Wii)
Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 (Wii)
Red Steel 2 (Wii)

I don't know how many I'll actually play but I can hope they're worth it.

I already have Bloodlines which is the second LOF book and I've read part of it already.

I suppose I'll see what my library has and go from there.

I'm just not sure if I can take Chewie dieing, or Ackbar for that matter.

I just sarted reading Star Wars novels again and I'm in a bind.

SO, should I read the The New Jedi Order which is like 19 books or could I skip right to the Legacy of the Force?

Which one is better and can anyone point out some other good reads?

I liked the animation in the holiday special, but the rest of the live action was pretty pathetic. I'll take a guess and say this new one was better, mind you before I've seen it.

Every prequel except this latest one, which will probably end up on TV later. I'll rent it if not.

I think there'd be less of us here...
And fewer Mandos in general.

I thought it was hilarious.

My favorite was the Ackbar cereal sketch though...

Anyway, wooh. Can't wait.

Actually I meant me, not Eric. But if that was all in the humour then I'm having a slow day.

I used to take Karate, and then my instructor just up and stopped teaching.
I'm not sure what to think about it.

At least one Universal Life Church congregation and two real independent churches based on the Jedi religion exist. In 2003 Jedi Sanctuary was chartered by the Universal Life Church.[2] In 2005 Temple Of The Jedi Order was incorporated as a Texas non-profit religious corporation. The Temple's ministers may legally conduct marriages in the United States. [3][4] In 2007 brothers Barney Jones and Daniel Jones set up a 30-member Jedi church in Holyhead, Anglesey, based on improving life using the Jedi principles

So, it's not a major religion but...y'know...

Today I went to "Technical Punching and Kicking w/ Weapons Defense"

There is nothing like getting wailed on by a black belt through a shield, if I'm not sore later it's a bad sign.

Weapons defense was fun, we did guns, knives, and baseball bats. At the end was a sparring portion where the one with the knife went full speed. I didn't get the knife out of his hand but I still managed to "survive" the encounter.

Sort of a heads up eBay hunt, scour the internet.

Strange that McDonald's would have Star Wars, usually it's Burger King. Like with the watches they came out with a while back.

I can't wait to see the finished product, Boussh is my favorite bounty hunter besides Fett. He needs a one-shot comic or something, y'know? Expand the universe a little further.

He is a drifter that one, ha.

Good luck

Five Animal is in multiple martial arts. It's a form, a series of movements from a style. I know Hungar's version from a previous style.

The style is Shaolin-Do, we cover multiple styles.
Entwine the Dragon Straightsword is Xingyiquan for example, which was developed by General Yue Fei outside of Shaolin, the monks would later practice the style however.

So it isn't just Tiger or just bird or a specific Drunken Immortal.

Our Tai Chi class is strictly 24 Combined Postures at the moment though with Ch'i Kung postures at the beginning. I'm not sure if I'd have to take a special class to learn another Tai Chi form or style.

And unfortunately over, the artist moved on to a different comic strip.
If you See Something...

Abe will be missed.

A few weeks back I started a martial class in town dedicated to the practice of Shaolin Kung Fu.
It's been an amazing experience, I've already had a chance to do a special class taught by the Grandmaster.
Which was Entwine the Dragon Straightsword, in a hot gym for twelve hours.

At the moment I'm a yellow belt. Someone is going to say it so I should mention that if you were to train in Mainland China it would either be Wushu-a flowery art that's purely performance based and devoid of martial intent-or Sanda which is Chinese kickboxing. Tai Chi is technically a martial art but it's meditational for many Chinese.

This is the real deal as far as I can tell, and the use of the Japanese belt system is because the martial artists of China fled to Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan because of the Communist party. In Indonesia it was illegal to practice Chinese martial arts so they adopted Japanese habits to avoid all that. Such as uniform and belt levels.

If you get a chance train at a Chinese Shaolin Center, which only has one school outside of the States in Ireland.

Along with the standard Kung Fu it also includes a Tai Chi class including the martial application.

I have to put in my two cents, congratulations.

Hopefully you'll be more active than one mod I can think of...

Ha, this is at least the second time Miba has had to remind us this has been done.
Thanks Miba, I don't think it needs to be locked since that was a while ago, and they'll just do it all over again later anyway.

To reiterate,
Maltese Kentaiba comes from a character that was in a star wars novel I had been writing. I gave up and started a new project so he's kind of in limbo.
Maltese from a member of the Looney Tunes staff and not from "The Maltese Falcon" or Republic of Malta
Kentaiba was a bit of an accident caused from putting sounds together
I'm too lazy to have a title right now...

It's been a while

Some things that've happened to me in that time
Saw Forbidden Kingdom with Jackie Chan and Jet Li
The senior pranks began with someone letting the air out of the bus tires then a few days later writing Class of 2008 on all the windows of school they could reach, and using toilet paper set fire to one of the bathrooms so we got out of class for 45 minutes or so.
I'm going to China next summer officially now, I hope that doesn't fall through
I got together everything for my friend in Canada to send to him.
Started learning Chinese
Got a Yoshida Brothers CD

Yeah, it's been a while

Howl's Moving Castle - has anyone read the book(s)?

I read the first one. It wasn't great, but it was far from bad.

There's more than one?
I liked the book better than the film, but they were both entertaining
Otherwise, I've seen:
Kiki's Delivery Service
pieces of Castle in the Sky
Nausica of the Valley of the Wind
Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away

Miyazaki isn't my favorite, and I can't sit through an entire movie, but he's definately good.
