it's not even technically the third game, it's a spin-off of Battlefront II, but from the Rebels' side.

you have to love when lucas arts puts one their most intriguing sw titles on a hand held system that is essentially irrelivent. ill have to badger one of my friends that owns a psp to get it.

i have not heard any rumors that it will be ported to other consoles. but would bet that it wont.

ive heard it is going to have !G-88, and baron fel as heroes...
'bout time. now they need to add dash rendar, and then we start to
build a nice group of characters. imagine lando, dash, and solo-no game could contain that much ego tongue

IG-88 would be awsome, and adding Dash Rendar would be the coolest thing ever also. Anyone know if they are going to have everyone's ships or just the Millenium Falcon? also, it seems kinda weird that they would have Ackbar as a hero, I dont see him ever fighting on the field since he's an Admiral.

i agree with that statement, perhaps having ackbar on the battlefield inspires the troops. +damage or something.

I just got this game recently and it is the coolest! The B-Wing fighters in this game are so good, I killed over 100 enemy fighters with it! I love this game

Now Dash Rendar would be cool, enough to get me off my Nintendo-binge.
But the people that already have PSPs are in a bit of a bind then...
is this same promotion where they include a white Darth Vader version PSP, or am I confusing that with a previous offer?

Since the only video game format I have right now is my PSP (complete with system hack, SNES and Capcom emulators, and my trusty 4gb memory stick), SW Renegade squadron was a nice little break between Monster Hunter Freedom 2, and mindless musings thru some old school games via my emulators.

I like that you can play with the likes of Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, IG-88, and yes, even pistol wielding, infinite orbital-strike launching Admiral Ackbar.

However Im quite partial to my Chain-gun slinging, jet packed, command post jacking customized trooper, holding his position and eating through 4 to 1 odds (not in my favor, of course), like a vibroblade through hot butter in Galactic Conquest mode.

Flying the Slave-1 in Space Assault mode was pretty cool too...

All in all, I rate the game at a 7/10...simply because it kills time...

I wasnt thrilled that it was only for the PSP.
My husband suprised me with it a couple of months ago.
Its a fun game... but playing on the hand-held with only one joystick is a little tough.

I am incredibly fristrated with the system choicing.......I only have a Gamecube and PS2 (go ahead and laugh; I do all the time) and I was REALLY looking forward to a future Battlefront for the PS2...And then it turned out to be for PSP....and yeah.  I really wih that they would make a version for the other big consoles.

Due to maintenance problems, the light at the end of the tunnel will not be in operation today.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

The game was fun, no doubt. But you do have to get used to the slien controls. It was still pretty cool playing as IG-88 tho. And piloting the Slave 1 was..well....self explanatory. The character customization was awsome as well. At time i'd be kicking so much @$$ that instead of becoming the hero of the battle field when i earned enough points i would just stick to my shotgunweilding jetpack crazy man. FOR THE EMPIRE WOOOOO!

If they had character customization for Battlefront III, I would be SOOOO incredibly happy.
