Re: How are Boba's Unarmed skills?

well.. "basic combat" is a pretty vauge term. for example the standard unarmed combat out current U.S. Army grunt gets is pretty short and sweet, by no means does it give them great abilities  A soldier is supposed to do his killing with his weapon, not his fists.

Ths more I think about this, the more I think Boba doesn't have the heart to stand toe to toe with a guy. He'll just sneak up on him and shoot him in the back later.  that's the outlaw way!

Re: How are Boba's Unarmed skills?

Think of how jango fights Obi-Wan in Episode II.
Boba Probably has a similar style

Re: How are Boba's Unarmed skills?

the WPC wrestelers are a show.they dont really fight.fett would have mandalorian unarmed training form his father and then more as a journeyman protector.he preferes weapons.

SF is what life is all about.

Now thats just retarded, you need to have the "heart" to stand up to a guy, because what if he hears you, what if he turns around, what if he sneakes up on YOU

Re: How are Boba's Unarmed skills?

Killing them from behind is a more efficient wy of getting things done.  In Fett's mind, it would be a waste of time to wind up going toe to toe, unless in extreme circustances. Suffice to say, in his business, it is probably essential that he have top notch hand to hand abilities.  He would probably rank around one of the best in the galaxy, I'd say, just because it would be something that I can imagine him doing.   Why settle for anything less than absolute best?  He probably wouldn't, knowing what we know of him.

Re: How are Boba's Unarmed skills?

In the third book of the Han Solo Trilogy, Rebel Dawn, he's portrayed as having VERY good hand-to-hand skills.  He took out a very skilled Rebel body guard without really trying.

As to what is and what isn't canon; I look at the starwars.com database for the facts.  Everything else in the EU I take with a grain of salt, and depending on whether I like what I read   tongue

Re: How are Boba's Unarmed skills?

I think Boba in a hand-to-hand combat situation would rely more on stealth as opposed to brute force... like a space ninja if sorts!

Re: How are Boba's Unarmed skills?

He would dodge a lot, nickel n dime him with quick, critical pressure point jabs and chops, then deliver one final finishing smash. Over just like that. I haven't read much on that, but I know his reflexes are top notch, almost jedi, (unless ur watching the movie it makes him look dumb in ROTJ) and running with all that armor and gear he must be strong. Also, he would obviously have been trained by Jango, I mean Jango trained freakin' ARC troopers, you think he would neglect his son?

whered ya hear that?

i know. thats the most ludicrous statement i've ever heard. Did the aliens tell you that when you quit wearing your tinfoil hat? Or was it the voices inside of your head?

Lets review how the Force works. It originates in the midiclorians, which are in your blood. That's how Force-users can influence and sense life. So if the Force is INSIDE you, how would a mirrored suit reflect it? Its not like light. No offense, but that's just dumb. Where did you hear that? What "Inner Circles"?

The cannon includes the SIX movies and the 3 Zahn (sp?) novels.

Why Zahn's? That would include virtually nothing. Those 9 consist of around 2% of the SW universe. And Zahn wrote a lot more than 3. Try 8 or so. EU includes virtually every novel officially licensed by Lucas Arts. And the video games. For example, the upcoming "The Force Unleashed" Video game was an idea, and they had to take it before Lucas to get his approval. He decides what is "canon". Its way more than that.

Re: How are Boba's Unarmed skills?

I thought anything licensed by lucasfilm or lucasarts or lucaswhatever was canon. For example, all books and video games which are contained in the EU on the databank. So, is all EU canon or not?

Re: How are Boba's Unarmed skills?

I think that what's in the databank is all that's canon.  And the last time I checked there, Boba's story ends with him escaping the Sarlacc.  With KT getting a free hand direct from Lucas, that'll probably change....
