The Last of the Jedi series continues to explore the dark times: the era when holding a lightsaber was a death sentence, the time when the Empire spreads inexorably across a galaxy weary from the Clone Wars.<\/p>\n

As the second book of the series begins a fugitive Obi-Wan Kenobi, accompanied by a fellow escapee from the Emperor’s purge, must avoid bounty hunters including the remorseless up-and-comer, Boba Fett<\/B>. Their voyages bring them to a war-torn world that refuses to accept Imperial control or that the Clone Wars are over. This planet may have been the last stand of several Jedi warriors. Tantalized by this opportunity to track down clues as to their surviving brethren, Obi-Wan enters this fray, offering his guidance to a rag-tag army determined to repulse the unstoppable Empire.<\/p>\n

Dark Warning is by Jude Watson, with cover art by John Van Fleet. It is scheduled for publication this August from Scholastic Inc.<\/p>\n
