Boba Fett is <span style=\"background:red; color:#fff;\">not<\/span> in the film.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>September 5, 2017<\/h4>\n<p>According to an official Lucasfilm statement, as reported by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/heat-vision\/colin-trevorrow-as-director-star-wars-episode-ix-1035463\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, director Colin Trevorrow has been fired from the project.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>September 14, 2016<\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theasc.com\/site\/blog\/parallax-view\/john-schwartzman-asc-discusses-large-format-optics\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">American Society of Cinematographers<\/a> lists John Schwartzman ASC as shooting Star Wars Episode IX. He last worked with Colin on Jurassic World (2015). He&#8217;s also known for shooting Armageddon (1998) and Pearl Harbor (2001).<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>August 15, 2015<\/h4>\n<p>Lucasfilm <span style=\"background:green; color:#fff;\">confirms<\/span> that Colin Trevorrow will be directing Star Wars Episode IX.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>June 9, 2015<\/h4>\n<p>Screen Crush <a href=\"http:\/\/screencrush.com\/colin-trevorrow-jurassic-world-interview\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">interviewed<\/a> the director, who brought up Boba Fett for no particular reason in one response to this question: &#8220;So, if they came to you now with a Star Wars movie, it&#8217;s not like you would turn them down.&#8221; He answered, &#8220;I don\u2019t know about the Star Wars spinoffs. I know I&#8217;m definitely not going to be doing the Boba Fett movie.
