For parents buying this set for their kids, I was impressed at how solid the model is once fully completed. A lot of the more complicated sets tend to shed trim pieces like my roommate's cat sheds hair. Despite all the nifty launchers and opening compartments and moving bits, the model is well constructed and can be picked up and handled by just about any part of it without worrying about bits falling off.
I've come to expect very little as regards to any "launchers" Lego incorporates into their sets. I was pleasantly surprised that the four concussion missiles that shoot out through the center section will actually travel farther than 3 inches.
I am also very impressed with the attention to detail given to the mini-figures. I always thought Bossk was cool and the well-designed figure that comes with this set was a big plus for me.
Recap:
Looks great
Sturdy
Lots of fun little compartments and shooty bits.
In stores I've been seeing this priced at $79.99. I bought it on here for under $62.00. I feel like I got my money's worth. Now I have to start saving up for a Star Destroyer before all the collectors drive the price way up.
Pros
-New Boba Fett minifigure with new blaster rifle!
-New Bossk
-It has 4 push-the-button fire missles, a secert compartment that holds two blue flick-fire missles.
-New Han Solo in carbonite, where you put the minifigure inside it!
-The set has a awesome design
-The underside looks awesome
-Just overall the set is fantastic!!!
Cons
-When I first got it the push the button missles wouldn't fire
-Some pieces kept falling off
-Also the cockpit is a little dull not like it appears in the movie.
-The push-the-button missles don't go that far
Yep so those are the pros and cons, but if you saying no to it because you think it costs too much then you should know that it pays for itself with fun in a matter of days.
Neutral
-Honestly I don't why they put the Bossk in, maybe it was to complete the bounty hunter scene in episode 5 where all the bounty hunters are lined up.
-Also I still don't like how the wings swing to the angle you hold it. I think you should be able to adjust it yourself.
I say its a 10 out of 10. Well another great review

That being said, I don't think this particular set is as fragile as some reviewers have indicated. Now I'm not dropping it three feet onto a hardwood floor or anything, but once the set was built I did fly it around the house a few times before putting it on display next to my other LEGO Star Wars sets. Flicking the little missiles out seems like an opportunity for a fragile set to fall apart, but it held up fine. You probably couldn't hold it like a tennis racquet and fling it around in the air, but nobody should be doing that with this sort of set anyway IMHO.
As far as the set itself, this is one of my favorites since starting up again. The build is a little more complicated than the newest X-Wing at times, but overall seemed to take about the same amount of time to complete. The detail of the set is top-notch, a few well-noted scale issues notwithstanding. It was just complicated enough to be fun.
The Boba Fett mini-fig is a big upgrade, as many others have noted, and should hold up admirably even with the new design coming later this year.
For a LEGO Star Wars fan, or a fan of Boba Fett and his incredibly unique ship, this set is a cannot miss.
NB: It's worth shopping the item for a few days as the price seems to fluctuate pretty wildly on Amazon. I got mine for retail not very long ago, but the list now is well above that.
This is just an all around solid set for any collector.
