Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

Aarcee turned his attention from the newcomer as more dents appeared on the door they had sealed.
"You better think of something quick." Jag said to the merc as the aliens foul acid began to eat through the door.
"Damn things." Aarcee cursed training his carbine on the door. "That door is a solid inch of durasteel, nothing should be able to get through it!"
His HUD suddenly pinged as a faint transponder signal was picked up. Jag must've seen it too.
"It must be another ARC." Aarcee said turning in the direction of the signal. "It's on our same frequency."
"Let's hope it is." He said to himself. "Were gonna need all the help we can get."

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

Aden checked his transponder, and noticed that the signal had gotten stronger.  That was good.  He was getting closer.  Quickening his pace, Aden rounded the next borner of the installation, following the trail of debris.  Within minutes, he came around another corner, and was face to face with Theta squad, and a merc, with their weapons trained on the door.  Seeing the dents, Aden realized that they had run afoul of some creature; no humanoid could make that size of dents that he knew of.
"I'm sorry Jag.  I messed up.  Again."
Then he joined the group in front of the door.  If they were going to die, he wanted to go out with his squad.  It was partly his fault that they were in this mess after all.

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

As soon as he saw Aden come around that corner Jag's first reaction was relief.  It quickly turned into anger.  But he said nothing.
"Welcome Aden.  Glad you could join us in our hour of death," he turned to the others and addressed them, "Okay ner vode, we have some options here, we can turn tail and run our little shebs out of here.  They'll probably catch up with us tear us into shreds and then move on to the rest of the base.  Or we could stand here and face these worthless di'kute and show them how never to mess with Mandalorians.  Since we going to die either way, let's do it the mando way shall we?"
The first holes were finally showing in the door.  This was do or die now.  But Jag was ready.  He settled his breathing and trained his DC on the door.

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

"Fierfek." Aarcee said as Jag finished his speech, still not taking his carbine sights off the door. So this was it. He thought he would've lasted longer than this. But if he was going to die, then dying alongside his brothers was the way to go.
"We might make it out of this yet." Aarcee said into his COM. "We could get the larty back here with gunship escorts. They would give us some time to get our shebs outa here." Aarcee thought of another wild idea. "I could stay behind." He said finnaly. "I got some thermal plastoid in my satchel. I'll plant some near the door and blow those damn things into atoms when they come thru."

"Here we go." Nilson punched in the security overide code.

"Wow." Gustavo couldn't believe the weapons inide this "office". "Safe and very secure, Eh?"

"Ya. My private collection.....Mmm. My favorite." Nilson picked up the minigun of the wall behind his massive chair and grined. Why do they need one alive again? Because all they need are the little face sucker things."

"I dunno. Because I've never heard of these "face suckers". Gustavo shrugged.

"Eh, Briony will fill you in. We need to hurry, I'm not sure how many got loose." Nilson picked up and put on the large Energy cell backpack and attached the feeding hose chute to his minigun. "This otta stop e'm." He also picked up a DC-10 Pancor prototype and slid down into his back holster.

"I'll say." Gustavo replied.

"Take anything you want. But We've got to get going." Nilson said.

((Gustavo, take anything you can think of. Also, Nilson's minigun is like the one in Terminator 2))

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

((Alright thanks))

Gustavo had to think a while before he came upon a decision. There were so many weapons, both lethal and unlethal, that it was difficult to decide what to get. Finally he took:

4 cryo-ban grenades ( cause an intense wave of cold, slowing down enemies temporarily)
1 Stun Gun ( similar to a tazer)
1 AK-97 blaster rifle ( Star Wars descendent of the original AK-47)

"Alright, I think that's all for now."

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

"I got some thermal plastoid in my satchel. I'll plant some near the door and blow those damn things into atoms when they come thru." One of the troopers said, as they talked amongst themselves, noone paying Rolland any attention. He snuck over near the dorr, and lay afew thermal detonators on the four corners of the framework of the door. "Listen up people, let's go." Rolland commanded the troopers.
"What? Why?" The one called Jag asked.
"Because those detonators I just put on the door'll blow those little demons back to Kingdom Come when they scurry through the door, so let's go, BEFORE THE DETONATORS BLOW US UP WITH 'EM!"
"Oh. Let's go troops!" The merry band of warriors sprinted away from the door in hopes of getting away before that part of the base went up in flames.

"I'm not sure that was the best idea!" Aarcee shouted at the merc Rolland while he and the other commandos sprinted away from the compound. "That blast will kill some of them but the rest will hunt us down! You should of at least let me use the thermal plastoid, the blast would've been bigger!"
The merc shrugged.

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

"Thermal detonators!  We had thermal charges and you used thermal detonators!"  Jag couldn't help being angry at this merc.
He's just like all the other mercs.  Selfish and greedy.  When they reached a rock that looked like it would provide adequate cover, Jag grabbed his macrobinocs and watched.
BOOM!  The binocs read high heat then the light disappeared.  Slowly the dust settled and sure enough, 4 cylindrical heads pocked out of the doorway.  They immediately locked on to his location and started sprint towards them.  Bu they didn't have eyes.  Interesting.  They must rely on hearing or smell.
"We have 4 survivors.  All heading towards our location.  Fast.  I'd say we have about 15 seconds before we meet.  Better get ready."

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

"Fierfek." Aarcee said as the aliens rushed towards them. The commandos along with the merc had taken cover behind a boulder.
"We should be able to hold them from here." Aarcee said checking the charge on his carbine. "Watch out for their blood, even katarn armor won't hold up against that stuff."
Aarcee felt somewhat safer with his newly issued plasteel armor, but he knew even the advanced armor was only "Resistant" and that made him uncomfortable.
The aliens ran with incredible speed directly towards them. For not having eyes they seemed to know exactly where they were.
"Here they come!" Aarcee said as the other commandos and the merc took positions on the boulder. "Pick your targets and conserve ammo! This is where we hold them!"

"I'm just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe"

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

Rolland pulled out his carbonite freeze gun, and took aim. He targeted the first alien coming towards them at dizzying speed, and fired at it. A blast of energy hit the xenomorph, freezing it solid. Rolland then switched to a sawed-off EE-3, and fired, shattering the xenomorph. Like shooting fish in a barrel.

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

Aarcee watched as one of the aliens was shattered like glass from Rolland's freeze gun. One down.
There was still three more of them coming. Aarcee let loose a hail of automatic laser fire at the closest one, shredding it into pieces. But to his amazement it was still managing to inch its way closer by crawling.
"Stupid Di'kut." He said switching to the grenade attachment and pulling the trigger.
BOOM! The blast from the HE 40mm round reduced the alien to little more than bite sized pieces. Aarcee opened the tube as the smoking grenade cartridge slid out with a metallic tink. He reached in his belt and slid another round into the chamber.

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

Grov leveled his bowcaster at one of the charging xenomorphs and squeezed the trigger. A metal bolt covered in energy ripped through its head and right shoulder. It fell to the ground sizzling and shrieking. Grov watched as the last xenomorph fell due to the clones. An idea clicked in Grov's mind as his allies were preparing for the next vicious onslaught.
"Cover me!" He yelled and moved out from behind the boulder. He took two cylindrical grenades from his backpack and chucked them at the opening. Upon touching the entrance the popped and a sickly green gel coated the entrance and several xenomorphs emerging from the entrance. The monsters struggled in the thick gel as the band watched in amazement.
"What is that stuff." one questioned.
Grov replied, "Highly flammable gel." With that, he loaded his bowcaster with an explosive bolt and fired.
The shrieks of burning, dieing xenomorphs filled the air.

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

Aden watched in awe.  He had never seen anything like these xenomorphs before, and their determination astounded him.  He managed to get off a couple of shots, and noticed one of the mercs hurl two cylindrical grenades at the entrance of the complex.
"What is that stuff?" He wondered.
"Highly flammable gel," the other replied.
With that Aden saw him fire a bowcaster at the entrance, blowing it sky-high.  He sighed in relief; the fighting was over.  That was the thought, unti he saw a lone xenomorph exiting from a side door of the complex.  This was the perfect opportunity to prove himself to Jag, and to make up for his earlier mistake.
He brought his merr-sonn to bear, sighted through the targeting scope, and locked onto the swift form of the alien creature.
"Time to die, friend."
Then he fired, watching as the anti-vehicle rocket sped toward the creature.  Oddly, it didn't even ty to avoid the missile, and paid for that mistake with its life.  Aden sighed in relief.  NOW the fighting was over.  Sadly, the mission objective was to take a LIVE specimen, and he doubted that he had accomplished that.  No, he didn't think they had accomplished it at all.

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

Aarcee lowered his carbine as Aden finished off the last xenomorph.
"I think thats all of them." He said turning towards the others. "Bad news is we need one alive." he pulled his datapad from his belt. "The schematics of this complex show there is a roof entrence near the back of the facility." a 3d holo of the building floated into view so the others could see. "We could infiltrate through this roof point and that would put us directly overhead of one of the laboratories. I'm guessing there would still be some specimans alive inside."
Aarcee looked up as the others stared at him.
"What do you think?" he said finnaly.

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

Nilson leaned casually out the door to see if anything followed them. "Let's go." The two Mercs cautiously walked down the wide halls of the facility leading to the laboratory.

"Here we go." He slid his card and the door light turned green. "You know, I've never been scared like...this...before? What in Oblivion?" Nilson looked out the hallway viewport to see a squad of clone troopers climbing up the opposite side of the window.

"Uh...You don't see that everyday." Gustavo said.

"No...No you don't." Nilson replied confused. "They must have caused those explosions I heard."

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

Aden looked over his shoulder, and saw two people silhouetted in the viewport of the complex.
"HEY!  Someone over there is still alive.  Jag, shouldn't we go back and get them out of there?"
Without waiting for an answer, the impulsive commando sprinted off towards the complex.  He NEEDED to prove that he was worht keeping around.

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

"Hey!" Aarcee called after Aden as he sprinted back towards the complex. "Fierfek there could be more of those damn things out there!"
Aarcee shouldered his carbine and sprinted off after Aden.

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

((For the sake of consistence I'll add this to the story))

Briony didn't dare leave her safety zone. Instead she went to the security cams to see an alien adult scraping at the door outside. She also noticed something most interesting. There were clone troopers coming up behind the alien.

Briony flicked through the screens and saw that there were various deployments of troopers. Normally she would have been angry to know the facility had been infiltrated but with containment broken she couldn't have been more relieved.

She heard blaster fire outside and decided she'd wait until the troopers came to her.

Re: RPG: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream - SW vs Aliens

((I dunno. You'll have to ask Mel.))

The door slid open, and there one was. Nilson immediately lifted his DC-10 Pancor and pulled the trigger, it was then followed by the distinct chatter of Gustavo's AK-97.

"Live through this!" Nilson shouted.

The Xenomorph was no match for the 2 full magazines of burning flechette and blaster bolts that had been unleashed, it was shredded to pieces in a matter of seconds.

"I hate Aliens." Gustavo sighed, watching the acid blood slowly fizzle on the floor.

"I know; Go inform Briony of the situation with the Clones...She will also fill you in on the Xenomorph's physiology, weaknesses, the face suckers, acid blood, ect." Nilson pointed to the door that was slowly melting away.
"I'll be back."

"But-" Gustavo turned around and Nilson was gone. "Whatever...It's his funeral."
