Topic: Deadpool

We have a thread already - Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine - but that might be the worst example.

Deadpool, a Marvel character who mixed humor and violence, is quite similar to Boba Fett. So, here's a thread for just Deadpool.

To kick things off, check out this blog post on the 10 Best Deadpool Moments:

Re: Deadpool

Deadpool may be a Merc I would consider him polar opposites from Fett. I'd put Deadpool's combat ability over Fetts but I'd say Fett is way more intelligent than Deadpool. Plus one of them is known as the "Merc with a Mouth", and the other barely speaks.

However, they are both badass

Re: Deadpool

which why they are both endeared

Re: Deadpool

Way more intelligent?  I disagree.  I'd say that Deadpool isn't too far behind Fett.  His only holding on that is his insanity.  He has done some incredibly smart things in his time.

Re: Deadpool

I Think I agree with macoy on this. Altho Im sure deadpool is very smart, From what Ive seen Boba is probebly smarter

Re: Deadpool

I never said Deadpool was smarter.  All I'm saying is that Deadpool is definitely not one to be underestimated no matter how he acts.

Re: Deadpool

I think if these two went up against each other, they would have to call it a draw

Re: Deadpool

deadpool can heal and recover later, boba wouldn't know, but the second round, boba would capture him and carbon freeze him

Re: Deadpool

I'm under the impression Deadpool wins by default. He's practically immortal. Besides the fact that he can teleport is an advantage.
Maybe if he used a disentegrator. Couldn't say.

I'd say Boba has more in common with DC's Slade Wilson, a.k.a Deathstroke the Terminator.
Some of us might know him from the Teen Titans cartoon. That's just me. I don't know too much about the character since I don't read DC stuff very often.

Re: Deadpool

Deathstroke's name is actually Slade Wilson?

he's in that new Mortal Kombat vs. DC game

Re: Deadpool

Because Deadpool's is Wade Wilson or...?
Not sure I see the humour.

Re: Deadpool

Deadpool is a parody of Deathstroke.

That I knew. Just clarifying.

oh. I thought it was the other way around but I just checked it on wiki to settle my curiosity. Deathstroke first appeared in Teen Titans in 1980 while we didn't see Deadpool till 1991.

Re: Deadpool

I remember one thing that Joe Kelly (might have been a crossover thing can't remember) wrote where he had a character in their that was a lot like Deadpool but looked like Deathstroke and would try to get his name off but would only get out "Dea" before being sucked into a portal or something.

Does anyone read Deadpool here?  Currently I'm subscribed to all three of his titles and the local comic book shop.  I still think the Deadpool series is best as opposed to the Merc with a Mouth or Suicide Kings series.

Re: Deadpool

I'm subscribed to the Deadpool covering Dark Reign where he's facing off against Bullseye. I suppose that's the main series.

My favorite issue so far has been Deadpool against the T-bolts. Attempting to get a date with Black Widow.
Black Widow: Most women do not respond well to sexual advances made at gun point.
Deadpool: They don't? Um, I have a knife...is that better?

You know what could be interesting? What Boba Fett and Deadpool could do together!
