Boba Fett is the best SW character.

Re: Are we being Honest about Boba Fett?

For once I understand what you're saying. We all SAY Boba is our ultimate number one favorite out of anyone in Star Wars. Do we just say this as an exaggeration? Do we say it because we really have someone who is our absolute favorite and we don't want anyone to think we're lesser Fett fans for saying so so we lie? Do we say it's Boba because we are on a Boba fan club board? These are good questions. So, look inside yourselves and be honest... who's REALLY your favorite?

Boba and Obi-Wan pretty much tie for #1 for me, actually, sometimes one slips higher than the other, and almost every time it's Boba.

Re: Are we being Honest about Boba Fett?

Well, there certainly are a lot of other characters out there. And much more prominitly seen then Fett. And more important then him as well. But I still love Fett. But why? Well, the fact he isn't really seen much makes him just really fascinating even more. And he sets everything forward for RotJ. Everytime he appears on screen (all those few times) I just go <3 everytime.

Half Dragon, half human, 100% Fett!

Re: Are we being Honest about Boba Fett?

To be honest, I never really cared for Boba until I started reading the EU. Sure, I found him kind of intriguing, only because I saw him for like a minuet, and yet he managed to catch one of the main characters. But other than that, I was kind of indifferent towards him. I actually didn't get to REALLY like him until I started doing some research on him, reading the books and looking up info on the Databank. I know there's probably much better/stronger/whatever characters out there, but if you can kill Jedi barehandedly, catch Han Solo, escape an "inescapable" creature,  become Mandalore, and still be alive, that makes a character pretty damn awesome in my book.

Re: Are we being Honest about Boba Fett?

Since I was about 11, so a year after Empire came out, Yoda and Boba Fett have tied for #1 for me. That might seems like a strange jump, intergalactic bounty hunter to wise old benevolent jedi master but I think part of it is the purity thing. Yoda is a pure Jedi and BF is 100% about his job. Visually they are both really interesting characters as well but in totally different ways. BF just looks like pure unadulterated "F- you and die" bad ***. But Yoda has a weird kind of don't F- with me kind of thing going on too. I guess it's all about confidence. Yoda is so confident and content that he doesn't have to wear armor to look tough. BF's design gives off the cool, calm collected vibe and you know without talking to the guy to stay out of his way.

Long-story-short, for me it's a tie between Yoda and BF

Although I do have to say I had a BF action figure before I had a Yoda and he was, is, will always be the favorite. I have a weird emotional attachment to it, but I think the mail away BF I got back when I was a kid is my all time favorite BF action figure including everything else that has been produced since. I have had this thing for longer than some of you guys have been alive LoL smile

Are you kidding? I wouldn't have joined the BFFC if he wasn't my favorite character. I'm not gonna join the Jar Jar Binks fan club.

Re: Are we being Honest about Boba Fett?

I really enjoyed reading ,on this subject and I'm not alone as I tried to look at the others, but
Boba Fett still came tops,,none ,seem to come up to him ,,prehaps Darth Vader, would have been ,
and I think there isn't such a Fan Club as there is to Boba Fett  I may be wrong but I haven't heard of one
I looked up on the computer to see if there was a Boba Fett Board and found it .

I'd have to say this about sums up my situation as well.

I really liked his armor, what little you get to see of it, and that original gravelly voice was awesome; but there's just so little that he never caught my eye more then that.

It wasn't until I played KotOR and learned that Boba was a decendent of the bada@ss'ness that was the Old Republic era Mandos that I REALLY took notice of him and he became my #1 of the movies.  Solo has better lines, Vader is just great, but Boba created and represents what I love most about Star Wars - the Mandalorians

Re: Are we being Honest about Boba Fett?

I must confess that my first love ( as far as the Stars Wars Saga is concerned) was Chewbacca back in 1977 when A New Hope came out. My interest in Boba wasn't really piqued until 1980 when ESB came out. He sort of grew on me from there. It would be hard for me now to say who my absolute favorite is.

Re: Are we being Honest about Boba Fett?

I am a person of favorites. And they all evolve. I once was a huge Vader fan. But they evolved as I fell more and more into the EU. I LOVE loved the Idea of Mandalorians and the Armor and what Boba Is.  Although I also love Shaak Ti and Wedge Antililes. Its different though.

Re: Are we being Honest about Boba Fett?

When I was a little kid, I thought Luke was my favourite... but then I started paying attention to the movie instead of the light sabers. I saw Boba, and just started learning everything I could about him. He is definately my favourite character.

Re: Are we being Honest about Boba Fett?

At first I liked Emporer Palpatine, Count Dooku or General Grievious. ( Im atrracted to villians hmm)
But now I can honestly say that Boba Fett is my #1 FAVORITE.

Re: Are we being Honest about Boba Fett?

My absolute favorite is Han, actually, followed by Boba. Which is kinda funny when you consider that they're rivals. But Han is such a character. As awesome as Fett is, he's pretty lacking in that department. When's the last time you made friends with someone who is all about their job? They are not fun.
