Don't think that's on top of his concern list. . . . .  but maybe it should be   tongue

Re: Fett Unmasked - Would Boba Fett really unmask?

Well, the same thing happend with Master Cheif from Halo, he is very very pale because hes been in that suit for so damn long.. But he must get some time in the sun some where cause all the pictures of him show him tanned....But artists seem to overlook a bunch of stuff big_smile

Yeah that stands up to the same logic.

But I think many individuals would look that pale if they spent the kind of time in space that many of the characters have.

Do astronauts get tan? Does humanoid skin react the same to that kind of light or does the sheilding on the ship filter out the rays that cause skin to tan?

Well, I think the ships have radiation sheilding, and I dont think they spend much time in the sun, our astronauts realy just go onto space stations, In a craft like they use in starwars, they might get more sun.

It probably would, at least in StarWars.  Our space shuttles don't go far, so I don't know, but in SciFi the 'windows' would have to filter more intense rays when they go near stars/suns.  So any rays from just the starfield probably would probably be filtered out completely

Re: Fett Unmasked - Would Boba Fett really unmask?

I heard that fett unmasked when he was about to go to sleep.  :\

You've been holding out on us again haven't you? Since you haven't given us enough money, I'll guess I'll have to take it out of you piece by piece! - Unknown Mandalorian.

Re: Fett Unmasked - Would Boba Fett really unmask?

I know that fett has gone unmasked a couple times before.  I was reading the Saga book "Bloodlines"  And it mentioned that fett had a doctor (because he has many tumors) that is the only person that he revealed his true face to.  Well anyways, I thought that was pretty interesting.

The pen is mightier than the blaster!

Re: Fett Unmasked - Would Boba Fett really unmask?

He takes it off in public, too. When he first meets Mirta, in Bloodlines. and his wife, Sintas, and Taun We, and maybe one or two others have seen it. but very few

Re: Fett Unmasked - Would Boba Fett really unmask?

Well wouldent Taun We be on Kamino? Kamino could be considered his homeworld. He might feel safer there (he was indoors right?)

Re: Fett Unmasked - Would Boba Fett really unmask?

I very highly doubt that Fett would take his helmet off in public except in those books.  (growls because I can't find those books in any local bookstore)

As for the tanning thing, he has a tanning bed in Slave I, duh tongue big_smile

Re: Fett Unmasked - Would Boba Fett really unmask?

that's a good use of his money. The bookstores by me never have the books I want either. That's why I love the internet age. Before it it sucked and you had to find places that were willing to look for it and order it for you.

Re: Fett Unmasked - Would Boba Fett really unmask?

another time he removes his helmet is in the final or 2nd to last book of NJO, he meets han w/o his helmet, and and han thinks he knows him, and fett gives a different time. they (han and leia) realize it later.

Re: Fett Unmasked - Would Boba Fett really unmask?

fett does unmask...all the mandalorians just about in sacrifice, revelation etc knows his face. his doctor knows his face, and when he was hunting down the butcher of montellian serat [i think thatsthe name] he wasnt even wearing armor! just shorts armed with some arrows and a knife. the people who rescued him after he escaped the sarlacc saw him also

That's from Tales of the BountyHunters, right?  That's not canon.......or if it was, it's not anymore.  That's the one what says he's Jaster Mereel, too.  We know that's not true now, so I don't take much stock in the rest of it now either  *never did, to be honest; we all know Boba would have other ways of getting a mark without stripping tongue *

Re: Fett Unmasked - Would Boba Fett really unmask?

Look, we all know he had a wife, Sintas Vel.
They had a daughter as well.
Ehm, well, you get it!
He couldn't be all naked and still wear the helmet! I do not think he was that kinky... wink

I don't think he was that kinky either. Further, I did not think a woman like Sintas would've put up with him if he was.

Re: Fett Unmasked - Would Boba Fett really unmask?

Fett has removed his helmet as already noted in the previous posts, but let me add this..

Traviss has written how much the clones felt at home in their helmets, having the ability to communicate, listen to music and such all from the comfort of their own helmets, besides they are climate controlled to boot.  Fett no doubt has similar options and then some so why wouldn't he want to keep it on.

Having worn body armor for extended periods of time, eventually it just begins to feel natural and you feel strange without it on.  Especially if you have all your own creature comforts like snacks and the iPod pouch on it.
