Topic: Vampire Hunt RPG

In this game, you assume the identity of a vampire hunter that you create. The hunter can be a human, or any non-omnipotent supernatural being. You can choose your characters' weapon, so long as it is reasonable (i.e., a Navajo Skin-walker who turns into an owl could not carry a shot-gun). You can be a vampire hunting your own kind, aswell.

This will be set in thelate 1800's, so technology should be based around what existed then, though steam-punk would be fine.

The members playing can either be a clan of vampire hunters, seperate characters who come together to slay a powerful opponant, or another plot if anyone has a suggestion.

Re: Vampire Hunt RPG

Name: Elizabeth Morton (Lizzie for short)
Species: Vampire
Weapons: Crossbow with holy water dunked arrow heads and small stakes shaped as knives.
Description: Crimson hair, sky blue eyes and the face of an angel. Like most vampires, Lizzie is extremely attractive: all the better to attract your prey. Wears the garb of her era but isn't afraid to get around in her undergarments.
Reason for Hunting: Lizzie was a peasant girl who's family was murdered by vampires. The leader, Carlos Vasquez, then forced his "gift" upon her. Lizzie learned all she could before she staked her undead "family", although Carlos got away. She's been hunting Carlos and corrupt vampires ever since.
Feeding Habits: With her sense of justice, Lizzie only feeds on criminals. Her main targets are rapists, murders and violent thugs. Being a pretty face tends to lure the unsuspecting scum.

Re: Vampire Hunt RPG

Name: Asher Wilcox
Species: Altered human, can transform into a half fish/half man sea monster type thing.
Weapons: A katana enchanted with holy markings that can kill vampires, a shotgun with bullets soaked in garlic juice, has a crucifix necklace, fishman form allows him to have razor sharp teeth, sharp claws, a tail he can swing at high speeds, and allows him to breathe underwater. Spending too much time in this form forces him to seek water, however.
Description: Jet black hair, kept short in a crew cut style, dark blue eyes and a scar running across the side of his face from the left side of his mouth, causing it to look like he is always sneering. Wears a dark black trenchcoat over simple clothing of that era, and wears dark boots. The coat hides his sword and shotgun.
Reason for hunting: Considers vampires to be a monstrous plague that the devil himself unleashed on the earth, and intends to cure the world of the infection by any means necessary.
Why he's a fishman: Decided being a human just wasn't good enough for his extermination puproses, so enlisted the help of a witch to give him more ephicient power.

Re: Vampire Hunt RPG

Elizabeth Morton loved the night, she always had. She especially enjoyed those nights that moonlight was bright enough to see things more clearly. Not that her vision was as merger as a human. She was a vampire after all. But it was not by choice.

Although Elizabeth could not change what she was, she could decide what sort of life she wished to lead. That life was one of revenge and justice. She had decided to track down those vampires who fed on the good, the weak or the helpless.

Elizabeth, or Lizzie as most knew her, was on the hunt for the vampire who had changed her life over two hundred years ago. His name was Carlos Vasquez and it was said that he was taking refuge at a local haven for vampires.

Lizzie knew she was not alone in the woods. She had heard rumours in the local village that there were werewolves in these parts. Although Lizzie had no ill feelings towards the werewolves, they tending to attack her as they would any vampire. She had escaped these attempts so far, without killing any werewolves but she doubted that the fact had been noticed.

The moonlight dimmed somewhat as the broken clouds moved slowly over the half moon. Lizzie moved on. She was in her hunting clothes, this composed of a pair of mens trousers, a brown blouse and long overcoat. A maroon scarf was wrapped loosely around her neck, the ends blew gently in the breeze. The time to kill was drawing near.

Re: Vampire Hunt RPG

D had just finished his ride through the woods. The nearest town was about an hour away, the sun would soon be going down. As the youth made his way into the town's outskirts, nearby farmers took a quick glance and knew what was going on: the mayor of the village had hired a Vampire Hunter in order to bring down a local Nobility threat.

Re: Vampire Hunt RPG

"I hate this job". He mumbled the sentence to himself for what must have been the tenth time that day.As usual he was down to his last few dollars, having earned just enough last job to restock his ammunition , repair one of the knives that had been broken, and eat for a few days.Right now there was just enough in his stomach to keep him from passing out from hunger., and he knew he needed to find a well paying job soon if he wanted to keep from starving.

Which was why he was heading towards his current destination. He'd heard from a business acquaintance that a village out east had been having problems with vampires and the inhabitants of said village  were willing to pay top dollar to have them removed. He wasn't surprised to hear that the job had attracted the attention of several other Hunters. Normally he hated working with the competition, but for the amount of money they were shelling out, he could be convinced to play nice just this once.

If I was totally sane, I wouldn't be as good at my job.

Re: Vampire Hunt RPG

Asher Wilcox sat on a barstool in the local saloon, drinking deeply from his glass. It had been days since he had seen another living thing. Well, since he saw another living human thing. After he finished his drink he payed the bartender and exited the saloon without saying a word.

He was a vampire hunter by trade, bred to exterminate the devil's contagion on God's green earth. He had been following a large group of vampires for some time now. He had picked off quite a few, but a large number of the group were still out there.

He walked through the town, past the outskirts and through the neighboring woods. The monsters were near. He could feel them. He wore a large black trenchcoat which concealed the blade he carried on his back. He drew it from its scabbard, ever vigilante ,waiting for the creatures to reveal themselves.

The sword had several markings engraved on it, a gift from a witch he had once saved from the nightcrawler's bite. The enchantment was not her only gift, but Asher preferred to use that sparingly. The night wind whipsered its mysterious words around him as he waited for his foes to strike.

Victoria Lycan stalked the streets, kicking up dust as she scanned the area. Her sensetive nose tested the air, searching for any traces that could be linked to vampires. She watched every hansom roll pass, every person pass by. Judging by the scents, they were all just normal people. Sighing, she continued down the street, keeping a nose out for any change in the wind.

Re: Vampire Hunt RPG

David moved quietly, in an attempt at stealth, he was in the woods following a woman, he had seen her enter the woods alone and decided to follow, he had his sword ready, and he was looking at the marks on it, he didnt know what they meant, nor did he care, to him it was a weapon, nothing less
He was counting on her not to turn around, he prefered to kill his victims silently, less suspicion that way.
he was about thirty-five feet from her, crouched behind a tree. He only killed his own kind because he actualy enjoyed it, he had no other motives. Of course, every so often he would kill with reasons other then entertainment but, no matter the reason. It occured to him that he was doing the world some good, killing vampires but he pushed the thought from his mind, he was going to need to be focused for this.

Re: Vampire Hunt RPG

"Lynsia," James whispered.

When she heard this, her back became rigid. She turned around and yelled, obviously on the on brink of insanity, "I'm going to kill you! You killed my kin you filthy freak!"

She lunged at him wth all her force. He had time to notice her protruding fangs. He also noticed the bandage on her shin from their last encounter. Under the bandage was nothing but shaved bone. As she soaredinto him, he bent down and extended his arm toward her shin. It connected. The pain, coupled with her fragile mentality, was too much. She went sprwling on the damp earth. James, not wanting to waste a bullet, pulled out a long wooden blade. With this, he stabbed Lynsia in the chest twice; on stab to kill her, the other to make sure she was dead. James grabbed a piece of bark and a twig. With this, he exorcised her lifeless, demon infested body.

Re: Vampire Hunt RPG

Henry was hunting a particularly crazy vampire woman. Walking out in the bright, frozen, snow covered woods, she would not get far. His very inconspicuous black clothing was such a good disguise in the one-and-a-half foot thick snow. Henry stuck out like a sore thumb. He walked a little ways before seeing a large figure standing over the vampire he was hunting, and area of blood-spattered snow surrounded them.
"I'll be darned." Henry said.
As he got closer, Henry recognized the figure was James Talbot, someone he had made a truce with a couple months back. Not far off, there were two other unknown figures approaching. Henry drew the double Webley's he was carrying, and went around to flank the two men.

Re: Vampire Hunt RPG

His mood brightens slightly as the village comes into view. " Maybe I can get a couple meals from these villagers as part of my payment", he thinks to himself. He is only a few yards from the village's entrance and in a better mood than he's been in all day, when he feels that something is not quite right. Nearly a lifetime of killing has left him with acute instincts that he trusts above all else. Pausing, his hands instinctively remove the blades from the sheathes on his wrist. Feeling a slight breeze he turns, ever vigilant for the perceived threat. His eyes take in everything. The road behind him, the farmland near the village, the trees.

The trees...he could feel a breeze but the trees were motionless. Alarmed, he turns just as a shadow slams into his chest. Knocking him backwards onto his butt, it solidifies into a raven-haired figure clad in grey and maroon clothing. "Little hunter, your reputation is undeserved! Killing you wil hardly be a test of my skill!".

The vampire  lunges onto him, and with the fiend's fangs inches from his neck, Gil slams the first blade upwards through it's chin and into it's mouth. With it's mouth pinned shut, the monster's screams are muffled. Gil slams the second blade in between two of it's ribs, piercing it's heart. He twists the blade around, causing as much damage as possible before pulling them free.

The vampire's body starts to wither away. When the body is but a husk of the former vampire, Gil sheathes the blades and continues towards  the village. His hand on the butt of his holstered revolver now, his hunger is forgotten for now and his senses are on high alert for any threat.

If I was totally sane, I wouldn't be as good at my job.

Re: Vampire Hunt RPG

D casually made his way through the town, heading straight for the Mayor's office. People around him started to follow, murmuring as they followed the man on his horse. D arrived at the stable, tied up his horse, and went into the Mayor's office to discuss the situation. The townspeople gathered around and looked through the windows and put their ears at the cracks in the wall to try and hear what the two were saying, but chance denied them, as curtains were drawn and two men with rifles came out and told everyone to scram unless they wanted one week in prison.

"So, they call you D, huh? I've heard you're the best in the Frontier, and if that is true, I will say I am pleased."

Re: Vampire Hunt RPG

Lizzie froze mid step as she heard the scream, "I'm going to kill you! You killed my kin you filthy freak!"

Tilting her head slightly, Lizzie was able to roughly gage where the voice had come from. She had no idea who or what had yelled but she decided to check it out.

She ran with lithe steps and barely a noise was made and Lizzie strode through the trees. She stopped as she saw a man hunched over a now warm corpse. Lizzie paused, unlike many others of her kind she was not hasty to rush towards a killing. The scent of blood touched her nose and she knew it was no mortals' blood, it was another vampires'.

Lizzie lent back into the shadows of the tree to watch the man. The breeze touched her nose and Lizzie also detected the faint scent of werewolf. It explained how the man could kill so quickly. No mortal would have had a chance against an older vampire. Lizzie could tell the vampire was old as she hadn't disintegrated immediately.

It was then that the breeze changed direction slightly and the werewolf stood, his nose lifted to the air. It was obvious that he had caught her scent. Lizzie was just thankful that he wasn't in his wolf form, as he would have found her in seconds.

She didn't move, instead she stayed still against the large tree. She closed her eyes and allowed her mind to search the area. Lizzie had always had a the ability to "see" with her mind. When she had been turned into a vampire it had only increased the ability. She didn't really understand it. All she knew was that she could locate those around her by hearing their thoughts and feeling their presence.

She ducked just in time as a large fist slammed towards her.

"I didn't come here to fight." Lizzie stated though she doubted it would make a difference.

"You're a vampire, you need to die." Came the response, along with another fist.

Again Lizzie dodged. "I only came to see who had died."

"A friend of yours," the werewolf snarled and lunged again.

Lizzie dropped and shifted to the right. "No, I just wanted to make sure she was dead."

The werewolf grinned at that, "Oh she's dead."

Lizzie pulled her silver bracelet from her left hand and wrapped it around her right fist. "I have no dispute with you. I'm only here to kill a vampire by the name of Carlos Vasquez."

"I don't care," said the werewolf.

"No, a beast like you wouldn't." With that Lizzie managed pivot behind him and smack him on the back of the neck with the bracelet. He cursed and held his neck as Lizzie ran back into the darkness.
