Topic: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

Let's start with the usual, as it seems many of the other RPGs have died...

The Rules:

1. You may create any character you want.  Clarify their name and species so others can follow their actions easily. I will be moderating.

2. You can kill characters you create but you can't kill other people's characters unless they say they have been killed in battle with you. However you can wound them.

3. You can have any weapon you want but you can only have what your character could physically carry - otherwise they wouldn't be able to move.

4. Be consistent, eg if someone says they blew up a building, don't suddenly be assaulting it.

5. If you have sustained many wounds you will have to either get medical help or eventually die.

6. Follow the storyline, sure add a few twists and turns but allow others to see where you want to go so they can help you get there.

7. Remember this story is before you undertake the tasks in KOTOR, so it has to end where KOTOR starts.

7. Have fun.

Let us begin...

Setting: Just prior to the time of Knights of the Old Republic. Revan is still in command of his minions. He has sent a band of his Sith/Dark Jedi to overpower the planet of Manaan, knowing the Jedi may come snooping. (I know it's the most boring area of the game, so let's make it interesting). Here's a link for planet info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manaan

A small band of beings have created their own resistance and plan to thwart the Dark Jedi at every opportunity. So who will you be, Sith/Dark Jedi or Resistance?

-

Utath Zen stood at the docking bay window and inwardly cringed as the Selkath opened their doors willingly to the Sith apprentices. Some said the Sith were no different to the Jedi but Utath knew better. She was human and had once been an assistant to the Jedi order, however she had since gone her own way.

She had never thought to have been near Force users again, especially the Dark variety.

However the Selkath believed that if they remained neutral that no harm would come to them. If only it were so. Utath shook her dark head, something had to be done and it would have to be done quietly...

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

Ok this is my 1st RPG here so forgive any naive-ness
Name:Aphotic

Race:Gen'Dai (he he)

weapons:Sonic rifle (think rifle size but with wider muzle) grenade lancher on bottom of sonic rifle, thermal detonator (the kind that blow-up big).

gadgets:wrist mounted wipcord/graple hook, heat/night vision.

voice/additude:a deep gruf voice with a hint of mucking to it (kinda like sev's) and a war like "Blow em up and ask questions latter" additude.
I think thats it soo...

As Aphotic walks through the streets of Manaan he thinks to himself "it's too bad I had to stop for supplies after that last battle I'm allready bord I haven't killed a thing for at least 6 hours, I think thats a new record."
but as he's thinking little dose he know of the danger at hand...

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

Name: Rekk Dennar
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Occupation: Grey Jedi
Age: 28
Weapon: Silver Lightsaber and Force Powers (I'll tell them as we go along)
Apperence: Short black hair, green eyes, slim build.
Favorite Past Times: Swoop Racing and Pazzak.
Personality: Sarcastic, playful, charming, and loyal.

"Twenty-one, I win again," A black haired Human announced, smiling smugly as he threw his cards down on the table. The Rodian he was playing against didn't look too thrilled as he pulled out a credit chip, cursing as he place it in  the human's outstretched hand.

"I think you cheat Human," The Rodian grumbled, narrowing his bulbouse black eyes suspiciously.

"Hey, Rekk Dannar doesn't cheat...much." He flashed a charming smile before gathering up his cards, tucking them away in his vest.

"It time to go put my winnings to good use, at the Swoop Tracks," He said, flipping his credit chip as he walked out of the bar and into the streets of the city.

Weapon: Green Lightstaff (Think Maul), Cortosis Garrot, Force Powers (I'll reveal as we go along too)
Favorite Pasttimes: Picking fights and getting drunk.
Personality: Does the word "dug" not mean anything?

Wandering out of the canntina, the dug was brused, angry, and had a massive hangover.  It had been a fairly good day so far.  But the dug sensed somthing... he sensed the dark side.  Nothing runind a good day faster than the sith.  Well, he'd just have to stop that...

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

As Rekk made his way to the Swoop tracks he stopped in his tracks, hands stilling its flipping. His eyebrows drew together as he picked up on...something. A dark echo of the Force...

"The Sith," He whispered, then shrugged. "As long as they don't bother me I'm good." His hand started it's flipping again as he continued walking. He couldn't help but feel like he should do something about it though.

He groaned, rolling his eyes. "Okay okay, I'll fight them," He mumbled to his conscious, which stopped its prodding on his mind. "Even though I could join them..."A sharp mental prod stopped that train of thought. "Ow! Okay, I won't! Geeze..."

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

(lol)
Aphotic had no force abilities and didn't pretend to, but he DID have informents and they could tell things that the force could not, like the fact that not only were the sith coming to Manaan but a small resistance was being started.
Aphotic knew that a resistance men't that there was something to resist and that that thing was going to come and attack any time now and an attack ment fihgting and fighting ment that he'd be there.
As he walked by the swoop tracks he (not lookign where he was going) bumped into A black haired Human (who seemed to be talking to himself) Aphotic-"Hey whatch it!" Rekk-"what YOU bumped into ME!" Aphotic-"So, you should be wathcing out for me insted of talking to yourself" Rekk-"what? that dosn't even make sence!" Aphotic-"Are you saying that I don't know what i'm doing" Rekk-"what i'm saying is YOU should be the one saying sorry to me" Aphotic-"I'm not saying sorry to a crazy human!" and as Aphotic walk away he added "oh and you mother was a nurff herder!" Rekk-(under his breth)"ok you ask for it..."

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

Queconasis saw the the Gen'Dai purposely walk into the human.  Sensing a fight, the dug prepared to instantly throw himself into the fray, when he sensed a fellow jedi.  Thinking that he could use some aid against the Gen'Dai, he walked up to Aphotic and stated "Your mother was a nerff hearder. Wow is that the best you could come up with?  I've seen banthas come up with better insults. Speaking of banthas, judging by your smell, I could say you're related to them."  Queconasis prepared to throw himself away from the lived behemoth standing before him, hoping the human would have the good sense to either run or prepare himself for the upcoming battle.  "This fight is going to attract alot of attention from all the wrong kinds of people" he thought.  The sith were no push overs.  He should know.  He'd been one.

All for one, and that one is me!

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

Rekk pulled out his lightsaber, igniting the silver blade. He backed away, bumping against a wall. Swinging his blade up, he prepared to attack whoever attacked him first.

"Now...I know I can't kill you with this," he said, looking at the Gen'Dai. "But I can kill-" He stopped, sensing the Force radiating off the Dug. "A Jedi?" He whispered, eyes widening in surprise. He'd have to remember to thank him later.

"Besides, my Mother could've been a Nerf Herder for all I know," He added, flashing a sarcastic smile at Aphotic. He knew it was probably the wrong thing to say at the wrong time, but he couldn't pass that up.

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

OOooooOO A "Jedi" I've killed many of them... but not at the same time.
well "jedi" I... as he was speaking Aphotic drew his blaster up to is hip and shot off a blast at the dug unfortunetly the dug thought that it was a normal blaster and not a sonic one so the block ended in him being thrown a few feet back and onto his rump. Queconasis-"Echuta!" Aphoic-"supri..." as he was taunting the dug Rekk pulled up his lightsaber in a forward jab motion Aphotic doged as fast as he could but the jedi was faster, the blade went strait into his uper arm. Aphotic-"RAAAA!! Now your DEAD jedi!" Aphtic shot 3 blasts at the jedis to keep them at bay and then from under his rifel launched a grenade.

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

Queconasis, still reeling from the sonic blast, dodged the incoming shots and pushed the grenade away, where it couldn't hurt civilians.  He was tempted to choke the life out of the brut, but no, he'd sworn off that.  No more would he use the dark side.  That's what he got the garrot for.  He quickly looked to see if the human was alright. He then remembered that it was he who got hit with the sonic blast.  He relaxed, letting the force slowly heal the bruise.  He should of simply presuaded the Gen'Dai to leave the man alone. It would have been easy enough, what with his expereance.  He had been forced to use his saber. With the sith craling all over the place, he had to go and reveal himself like that. The worst part was that the sonics had doubled his hangover.

All for one, and that one is me!

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

"Frack!" Rekk cursed, watchng the grenade fly towards them. Extending his hand, he used his Force Push to send it out over the vast oceans that surrounded the city.

"Play nice now," He grinned at Aphotic. "Grenades can kill us you know." He used his most condesending tone as he spoke. He then turned to Queconasis. "You okay? Yo got hit pretty hard by that Sonic blast."

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

(Who pushed the grenade? Queconasis, Rekk, or both? And since i'm new to this, can I call in sith, mercinaries, and other goons for the sake of story/action progretion?)

Looking up, Queconasis realized that the Gen'dai was still hanging around. "He must really be P.O. to still hang around two jedi.  But he new that he and the other jedi couldn't hang about. The police would be here soon. Along with their new friends. Queconasis ripped the shirt off a nearby pedestrian and flung it over Aphotic's face. He then used the force to hurl the distracted foe into a stack of crates. "Come on", Queconasis shouted to Rekk, "or we'll both be easy targets for the sith!"

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

((Rekk pushed it, since he had nothing else to do. tongue
I don't know if you can call in other characters. Mel has to answer that since they created the RP.))

"Right behind you Que," Rekk said, inching away from the temporarily blinded and disabled Gen'Dai before breaking into a full run, following the Dug.

"Hey, wherever we're going, do you think we can make a quick stop at the Swoop track? These credits are burning a hole in my pocket." Rekk asked, patting his pocket, itching to spend them.

"Acctually, the Swoop track would be an ideal place to hide" stated Que.  "And when did you learn my name?"

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

((D'oh! >< I wan't paying attention. I forgot Rekk didn't know his name.))

"Oh, is that your name? I just took a guess." Rekk shrugged a shoulder, feeling rather embarassed. He hooked his lightsaber onto a beltloop. "I guess you just have one of those faces or something. My name's Rekk Dennar by the way."

((Yeah, lame cover up...))

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

(Maybe my dug forgot to remove his name tag. "Hi, my name is _____")

"Humph. Anyway, we better get lost. The sith don't take kindly to jedi. And they won't be as understanding or forgiving as our friend back there."  "Swoop Track?!?", thought Que, "Oh, this is going to do wonders for my hangover."

All for one, and that one is me!

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

(( lol ))

"Geeze...they must be pretty bad then huh?" Rekk said, trying to avoid beeing seen by anyone. "Hey Que, stay in the shadows. People are less likely to see you then."

When they made it to the Swoop Track, Rekk reached into his pocket, pulling out a Pain Killer.

"Here, for your headache." He flipped it to the Dug. "I can sense one of those from a mile away, and I don't even need the Force." Rekk shrugged, smiling. "I guess it comes from experience."

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

"Thanks." Que quickly downed the painkiller. "What I don't get is, if people have been using the force for eons, why hasn't anyone found a way to use it to cure a hangover?"  Maybe that's what I need to do, the dug thought to himself, find a practical way to put the force to use.  He'd found countless ways to kill people with the force with the dark side.  He'd been taught how to protect others with the lightside, but nothing for the day to day, like how to use the force to mix a good cocktail.  Maybe it could be put work here at the racetrack.  That's probably what his new friend was here to do. Probably how he got the money in the first place.  Well, what good was the force if you lived lika a bum?  "Hey," Que said to Rekk "I think I'll place a few bets as well."

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

Aphotic tore the shirt from his face pushed himself up and turnd to find the jedi gone and 2 police swoops on the way. The 1st police swoop stoped just infront of him but before the policeman could get off Aphotic grabed the swoop and threw it into the upcoming one. (the other policeman jumped off just in time.)
Aphotic was about to shoot him when he heard a saber igniting behind him he quickly swung around and caught the sith by the forarms...and pulled hard. The poor sith's arms made a *Slash Craaaack" sound as his skin riped and bones broke in two, blood went all over the crowd that had gathered round. The policeman was able to shoot off a glanceing shot before being lifted off his feet by Aphotic's chokeing grip. Aphotic-"Listen. I'm a nice guy (he lied) so I'll let you go. Now run along go get your friends." Aphotic knew that was just what he'd do, and it's what he WANTED him to do. Aphtic also knew that he'd go and get more troops and that ment more fighting and Aphotic liked fighting.
"but before I get into any more fights with the Jedi/Sith I'm gonn'a get a special something for them." Aphotic said to himself as he went to his ship.

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

**Ah guys Manaan is run by the Selkath that want a neutral planet. Too much fighting will get you arrested - just a tip**

Utath ran a hand through her dark hair as she finished her shift and left the docking bays. There was a considerable amount of damage in town as she walked home. Apparently someone had decided to breach the "No Fighting Rule". Any fighting you wanted to do had to be discrete, otherwise you got arrested and sent to trial at the Selkath court.

The Galactic Republic had already established themselves in Ahto City (the only city on Manaan) and they weren't particularly happy to share it with the newly arrived Sith.

However the native Selkath were determined to keep a neutral balance when it came to galactic politics. It was worth their while when they were one of the few planets that could grown Kolto. Kolto was a plant with great healing properties and both the Republic and the Sith wanted it for their own means. But they'd have to play nice and obey the Selkath's terms... at least in public.

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

((Sorry, I forgot >< And I call myself a KOTOR fan...*sweatdrop*))

"No problem. I know how nasty those kind of headaches can be." He smiled. "Yeah...sometimes I wish the Force would heal hangovers, it would do me a world of good." He laughed. "Maybe we can find the cure."

"Well, we finally made it to the Tracks," Rekk announced, walking casually into the building, nodding and smiling at whoever happened to look in his direction.

"Fifty on number two," Rekk said to the Selkath behind the counter, placing a credit chip down in front of him. He then turned, leaning back aganst the counter. The Swoop tracks were rather busy today, but he didn't mind. At least there were alot of pretty girls in the crowd.

"So Que, what are we going to do about the Sith? We can't fight them in the city," He said out of the side of his mouth, eyeing a curvy, yellow Twi'lek who was standing across the room, casually sipping her drink. He was trying to be low key, and it appeared to be working since no one so much as glanced at him.

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

"Well, it looks like our large friend got himself a lot of attention." Que said looking at a vid screen showing Aphotic's rampage.  "And it looks like he's no friend of the sith. Wish I could have stayed to see that.  I've heard that there is a resistance forming somewhere. We should look into it.  And 300 on #2, #7 and number #1 to win the trifecta in that order."

Re: RPG - Secret Resistance on Manaan

Rekk relucently tore his gaze from the Twi'lek, looking over at the screen. "Hm, looks like Scales got a bit of a temper." He said, casually flipping his hair out of his eyes. He lowered his voice. "Do you have the slightest where it could be? I'd hate to go on a wild Boma chase and end up Sith Fodder." He turned, pulling out another credit chip. "Up my Ante would you?" He told the Selkath. "Number two's looking pretty hot right now."
