Re: Bf/Gf

In times of conflict friends and family can be used as leverage against you. So staying alone can keep you alive longer.

Re: Bf/Gf

In real-life, the chaces of that happening are almost non-existant.

Re: Bf/Gf

Unless, your some super secret spy,  not saying I am,  fighting a super villain, not saying I am doing that,  who has captured you and has found out who your family is, not saying that has happened to me, that usually never happens.  You get my point.  Unless you're like me and all that was way over your head.  But family and friends can also help you get through those hard times in life that we all must go through.

Re: Bf/Gf

They can.  They do.  But they are also the people with the greatest potential for harm.  They (usually) know most of your secrets, and that there is great blackmail/embarrassement material.  They can be great, but ona bad day . . . . .You catch my drift?

Re: Bf/Gf

You have to have pretty shallow family and friends to do that.  But hey, I'm sure you have the equally embarrassing moments that they have committed.  It's a mutual feeling.

Re: Bf/Gf

True.  I should elaborate.  Siblings (namely brothers) have the most power to hurt you: physically, as well as mentally!

Re: Bf/Gf

Same here but when all the siblings maul you, you kind of have no chance.

Re: Bf/Gf

what are you speaking about?

You've been holding out on us again haven't you? Since you haven't given us enough money, I'll guess I'll have to take it out of you piece by piece! - Unknown Mandalorian.

Re: Bf/Gf

Sibling rivalry goes both ways, and my brother and I got into our fair share of fights . He oddly enough was (and still is)  overly protective as well. He once took pepperspray in the face to clobber a kid who picked on me when we were in school (way back when).

As for the bf/gf situation, I think if you have one good, if you don't good. Your life doesn't depend on it. But don't be totally jaded to it because you may or have been burnt.

As for asking someone out, just ask them and be yourself.

It's a gamble, sometimes you win sometimes you lose. Really the best thing to do is not throw all your money on the table until your sure you've got a good hand. In otherwords, take your time and consider the options.

Well because it seems you would end up being a 40-year old virgin if you did that, and that isn't very....cool.

Hello. I was wondering does anyone have any tips of asking a guy out?

Normally the guy asks the girl out, but I guess if the girl really wanted to she could start some small talk and slowly reach the topic of relationships and then ask.

You really like generalizations don't you? As I said before, a lot of people just don't want to be in a relationship. It's not "uncool" to not be in a relationship, it's a choice people make. Also, it doesn't mean he will be 40 years old and still be against relationships, they may just want to wait until they can be in something meaningful.

Also, if a girl likes a guy and the guy doesn't know, why would he ask her out? Short answer is he wouldn't, and therefor it is a good idea for girls to ask out a guy they like. It's the same concept, just the roles are equal as they have been becoming for the past years now.
