But could it not be perfectly possible and plausible that Boba Fett is actually Homosexual?

If he was, he'd have tried to seek out a male partner. Fett doesn't seem like the type to care what other's would think.
But in the long run, I think it's very un-likely cuz he also doesn't seem like the type to waste time thinking about what his sexual preferances are. (My understatement of the day.)

If anything, Fett has probaby been asexual, since after leaving Sintas. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asexual )

Good point.

But it would explain Jango's lack of woman....

Eh... won't argue the Gay Fett issue too zealously. It could get bloody. I don't think he is, and that's where I stand. Besides, in "Tales of the Bounty Hunters", is it not remarked that "the desire for a woman came less and less often" or something to that effect? And would that not also imply that there had been desire for women prior to the moment? Woman... not 'partner' or anything else to that effect.

More importantly, this shows that Fett is indeed human under that bucket on his head. He knows how to manage him impulses, but doesn't even realize that he has emotions, much less knows how to express them.

Re: Why doesn't Boba Fett have a girlfriend?

I find it hard to think he'd be embarrased or worried if they found out if he was gay.  I see it as a possibility, but can't say I follow your reasoning, especially for Jango.  Bounty hunter's don't have a long life expectancy.   He'probably have the same mistrust or problems with an intimate relationship discussed about Boba, and it would be hard to raise a son/child on your own with that lifestyle.  My guess would be he wanted to continue his line, or the mandalorians whichever, that typically means a son rather than a daughter.  See a chance and take it, especially if they're already making thousands of little copies of you.

Not saying it's impossible, but the evidence doesn't really add up to that conclusion, at least to me.   I just wouldn't be surprised if he didn't worry a whole lot about sexuality in general.  If he did it'd still be hard for him to keep anybody close even if there were no personality issues.  I don't think being gay would ruin his character, but I do have to say I think that being gay and ashamed of it would ruin his character. (/my opinion)

Re: Why doesn't Boba Fett have a girlfriend?

I cant really explain this but he deffinatly wouldnt if you know anything about his morals you would know he dosent care for that sort of thing, and why would he have been married and had a child then?

I'm smiling because they havn't found the bodies yet. :)

Well for one it could be the Same reason as Oscar Wilde.

i.e. they were either not being hoinest with themselves,

or maybe Boba was too young to be truthful with himself?

Re: Why doesn't Boba Fett have a girlfriend?

Personally, I wouldn't have any trouble with Fett prefering the company of gentlemen, so to speak. For whatever reason, quite a few men have trouble with forming deep friendships with women. People who aren't usually very social often to want to very close friendships with the few people they do connect to. If Fett is like this, then he just might find it easier with a lad than with a lass.

I still think that love wouldn't be a high priority in life for him, though. On gender preferances, he might not really have any.. I think it would be more of a matter of personality than body. As someone said earlier, he probably isn't interested in nice racks and rumps.

Re: Why doesn't Boba Fett have a girlfriend?

You know... what if its so much simpler than all this...

What if Boba is just a complete and total failure when it comes to dating? Seriously, a lot of people have problems asking others out and going on dates, so maybe Boba just doesn't have the social aspects of a relationship down.

Plus I'm not sure a whole lot of girls would want to be dating one of the most widely known murderers of all time... (I know its bounty hunting, but it is still murder.)

Good... Bad... I'm the one with the gun.

Yeah, a lot of us are ham-handed at dating. It's really awkward!
As for the murderer/bounty hunter thing... nothing attracts women like a dangerous guy. Trust me. I'm not sure quite how it works, but maybe they think a dangerous guy is a man's man because he lives life on the edge. It's also a bit of a trophy thing with women- show him off to the other chicks.
So I'm sure Fett has more than his fair share of love-struck women following him around, he just doesn't act on the oppurtunites for many reasons.

Re: Why doesn't Boba Fett have a girlfriend?

I have to agree with being attracted to the dangerous "bad boy" type, but serial murderer/bounty hunter... actually I've seen books written on the psychology of women who love men like that.  Interesting study.

Re: Why doesn't Boba Fett have a girlfriend?

he was married and could not handle the comitment.he may have had some casuall fun and hire one or two prostitutes when he was younger.but hed have to worry about wether a woman would betray him.and he uses his helmet as a psychological adavantage over people,so if he did pull or buy women when he needed one it would be under an assumed name.

SF is what life is all about.

You and me both, Boba. *smacks forehead* Good point. Boba's more socially awkward than I am, which is saying a lot. So you're right: maybe he's capable of love or just plain old romantic interest, but doesn't have a bloody clue what he's going to do about it.

Re: Why doesn't Boba Fett have a girlfriend?

OK Boba was married and he had a friggin kid but he was with her for like 3 years. I'm sure we could say Boba's ready for commitment but he's to cool to settle down and have a home life. If not we wouldn't even be talking about this would we? cool

Anyway.
I figure if he wanted a girl (prepares for onslaught) what about Rystall (I know, special edition...whatever)? I figure if you count that he isn't gay.
I don't have much else to say but I'm surprised I haven't found a fan fiction where Boba is payed to protect someone important. And she tries to turn it to romance. Imagine if you will, Mandalorian armor with a clip-on tie...

Perfect...

Re: Why doesn't Boba Fett have a girlfriend?

Actually I'd considered it. Hmm... well, let's add to the antisocial behavior and give Sarin an excuse to hide in her room for the next six months. Fanfic time!!

As for the Clip-On-Tie-Of-Death, I think that's what he wore to Dengar's wedding.

I actually did find one like that a few years back.  It was that or Maul, but I think it was Fett... I recall it being very poorly written.  Though I have found one with the cliche woman takes in wounded stranger=falls for him=rides away=gets into lots of trouble that was actually well written.

Why doesn't he have a girlfriend? Just because they are of no use to him, won't benefit him in any way, and will only give him a weakness his enemies can exploit and plunder...                 After all, he looks after just one person....himself.
